    Thinking about drilling the screw hole out for a tighter fit

      If you’re talking about the metal grip frame be aware it’s some kind of zinc alloy and rather soft. Sometimes it seems the screws aren’t pulling against the stock hard enough. You may try a small nylon washer under the screw head between it and the stock on each side.

    my stock was extremely loose from day one, since I do not intend on taking it on and off, I simply drilled holes in the Crossman emblems on the stock and it matches up perfectly to where you can put the handle screws into place making the stock super tight and solid!

    Hi Al i don't have 2289 but modified a 1322 I put the stock on it change to foregrip peep sight I change the barrel also I put a little longer Barrel on it I'm getting results of pretty close to what you're getting Henry's night reason I use the 1322 I had two of them and so I made one into a into the rifle and I kept the other one as a pistol. Yeah I'm like you I'll be 80 is December so I know what you mean when it's hard to see the bifocals don't help either all right buddy keep up the good work on your videos I really enjoy them

    I have a 1377 pistol, I acquired an old c02 Ratcatcher. I have removed the barrel, breach and stock from the rat catcher and installed them on the 1377, converting it into a mini rifle. Whilst the 1377 was dismantled I replace the o ring seals on the air cylinder. I have an old Weaver C4w scope fitted to it which allows me to hit 3/4” spinners and silhouette targets at 20 yards. I use JSB 13.43 grain pellets which when tested by my local air gun dealer at 10 pumps he got 550 feet per sec a foot pound reading of 7.38. Though most of the time I only use 4 or 5pumps on my 20 yard garden range. Happy shooting.

    We can't get this .22 model in the UK big fan of these pistols ,I have a 1377 , and I had a medalist back in the day.

      That’s tough about.22. Some places here in the states are that way too or you need a firearm card to purchase & own. The Medalist was supposed to be ready nice.

    I hated the slop in my "aftermarket" 1399 stock before moving to the Buck Rail setup!
    I think that the specs on the box are the same for the 1377 and they did not test it with the longer barrel...
    (Which might have added a few fps so the 1377 might not respect the claim)
    *But eh it is very close to the claim! Haha*

      It’s refreshing these days for velocity to come in anywhere near the advertised numbers. I’d swear some must be shooting in a vacuum or on the moon 🌙 to get the numbers they claim.
      I got into a discussion with a TH-camr that was claiming in a video with 277,000 views claiming when he polished & ported a valve in his 1322 he gets over 720 fps with a standard lead pellet. Turns out he doesn’t own a chronograph and was judging by the increase in noise it made when firing. Nice 👍🏻

    • @LowkeyAirgunner
      @LowkeyAirgunner ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@AlsAirgunsIronically when I didn't have a chronograph and was judging with sound my weakest airgun was the one I thought was the most powerful 😂
      _(Advertised at 500 fps but only pushing 400 when the ones that sounded weaker did hit close to 500)_

      @@LowkeyAirgunner Yes, I can relate as well. Plus when people modify the tendency is to count gains in their head. The same is true with cars and other engines. “Well this item added 3 horsepower, and the new carburetor added 12 plus the new exhaust added 18, so I’m up 33 horsepower. Until they finally put it on a dyno and find out they gained 8 horsepower total.

    • @AlsAirguns
      @AlsAirguns  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, Crosman doesn’t currently offer it in .177 except through the custom shop. You could also buy a 2289 & then swap out the barrel for a 14” .177 caliber barrel.

      I don’t have one in front of me but I believe the overall length to be 34.5 inches.
