As a long time trail ultra-marathon racer, I have used Dirty Girl Gaiters for years (actually the same set for the last 5 years). The trick with the velcro on the heel is to use just a touch of Gorilla Glue and then "clip" the velcro in place with a clothespin, a hardware clamp or something similar over night.
Once dry, I have never had a piece of velcro come loose with this technique. I've used them in races from 32 degrees F, to 95 degrees F, rain, snow, river crossings, and rock ridges with no problem. Also, if you find a really small ring that you can put on your front laces, it will keep the front hook centered and make it easier to get the gaiter on and off (specifically for racing applications). I have a video on my channel showing how I do it.
    Great channel!

@HNXMedia where is your channel or link to show the small ring? Is the glue manufacturer number 8040002? And same as mini tubes? Gorilla Clear Grip Contact Glue 5g Mini Tubes, 4 Count. Thanks.

Thank you so much - just what I needed to know being new to gaiters! You're right, the written instructions were a little lacking, especially when your are not familiar with gaiters - I didn't know where on the heel to attach the velco, and you answered that perfectly by showing two different models of hiking shoes!

Use Gorilla Clear Grip High Strength Contact Adhesive on the velcro. It soaks into the fabric and holds like hell.

Seems you should have put the Velcro lower on them shoes, and you barely covered the ankle cutouts, leaving easier access for pebbles to get into the side of your shoes.
I recommend people experimenting with the gaiters and shoes on before attaching the Velcro, to find the ideal placement for you.

Lol, sounds like you may have had some questionable stuff come up when you put 'Dirty Girl' in your search engine!!!

"Dirty Girl Garters" might also yield unexpected results.

    Hey,
I have running shoes Brooks Cascadia 10. Twice I tried to attach the Velcro, but it just does not last and fall when I finish running and removes the gaiters. What do you think I should do?
Thanks for the answer in advance!

+‫אלעד מרום‬‎ Sew it on maybe? If it will not ruin the shoe!
