Battle of Athens State Park-most Northern Battle West of the Miss. river in the Civil War

In this video, we are so excited to be in Northern Missouri on the border of Iowa camping at Athens State Park. We knew this was our park when we saw they are all First Come First Serve camping. We drove in, and the park was almost empty. One other camper in the park helped us decide this was going to be our home base for the next 3 nights as we explored the area for other camping options over in Van Buren County Iowa. Join us we check out this State Park that is abundant with Civil War history and restored buildings. Been there doing the Civil War Reenactment...One year they used speakers so you can hear the commentator tell the story of the battle, which alot times is not done or I can't hear it.
