  • Islam is rapidly spreading and will soon become the largest religion in the world. In this episode, Larry is joined by Dr. Jay Smith, known for his focus on apologetics and polemics among the Muslims of London. In a world where religious dialogue and understanding are more crucial than ever, Jay Smith fearlessly addresses the challenges posed by radical Islam in London. He tackles the confrontations between Muslims and Christians in churches and on university campuses with passion and dedication. Jay aims to foster a space for constructive conversations about faith by engaging in polemics and thought-provoking debates.
At the heart of Jay's mission is his involvement in the vibrant environment of Speakers Corner. He tackles polemics head-on, engaging with those who question Christianity's foundations. Jay doesn't shy away from addressing attacks on Christianity by Muslims and even delves into the contradictions within the Bible. The physical attacks that often accompany these debates are not deterring Jay from standing up for his beliefs. Discover why Jay Smith remains unafraid in the face of adversity. By sharing insights into the nature of apologetics and polemics, Jay explains how Christians can confidently defend their faith while engaging with other belief systems. He emphasizes that standing up to radical Muslims isn't about fear but the courage to do God's work.

      Absolutely not! god Allah is
derived from a pagan deity Aka a Moon God. Christians do not worship such. Don't allow etymology to make you think different in the a word because it's translated as the God in Arabic
People call their idols God's. Furthermore Jesus is the son of God who we worship, Muslims believe God cannot have a son.

PHENOMENAL PODCAST! Over 20 years ago, the West Wing TV series took on the issue of Islam. And to explain that culture in a way that would be generally understood by the viewing audience, one of the actors, a woman, had the creative role of telling the story of Ishmael and Isaac from the Bible to a reporter. The excellence of that narrative made a lasting impression on me. From the overwhelming drama that has been presented in this interview as a common experience in the Eastern world between Islam and Christianity, I doubt such a narrative could carry any value today except as given by such heroes as Dr. Jay shared from his experiences. We westerners are truly spoiled and lazy as Christians. May this program give us motivation to be bolder in our sharing of the Gospel!

This conversation is so interesting. I have never been to these places or knew about the Muslims in the contents of what your talking about. I am an American and had no idea other then some media or churches saying Christians are being persecuted and killed. We are so far removed from these cultures and places that it just doesn't register to us what it is really like and the violence involved. This has really opened my eyes as to what you both are doing in spreading Gods word and what bravery really is to do Gods bidding. I pray God keeps all of you safe so you can continue your work in converting Muslim into Christianity. This women you were talking about is one of the bravest people and must be filled with the holy spirit to be able to do what she does. I pray Gods blessing continues to be with her and keeps her safe. I look forward to more of these kinds of talks so that we in America can understand just what is going on in these countries. It seem that this persecution of Gods people is coming more and more to America. People getting arrested for praying at the abortion labs or just speaking in public about God. Thank you both.

The media has no interest in the persecution of Christians in Africa, because they regard Christianity as a part of European colonialism. Islam is regarded as indigenous to the region. This although Muslims were an integral part of the Atlantic slave trade as well as the trans saharan trade that went back to Roman times and extended into the Middle East. Islam does not look upon slavery with the same eyes
as liberal and Christian Europeans. who came after many centuries to look upon it as a moral evil, one that is suppressed by law, The medieval west African kingdoms were no different, and also all supplied slaves for the European slave traders,

@@IdeasHaveConsequences Quran (only scripture with 100% accuracy/preservation) says Allah is “Al-Ahad”(one/indivisible).Philosophically, It is impossible for 3 distinct perfections to exist simultaneously. Father (Perfection 1/distinct1) =Son (Perfection 2/distinct2)=idolatry.This is due to addition of two extra perfections that are Co-equal/Co-eternal&distinct with Allah(the most Exalted). Not just the Quran, but also the old/New Testament textually establish tauheed(monotheism). So, then why believe in trinity and associate two imaginary parts to Allah(one/indivisible/Self-Sufficient/All-Loving)? How could your love/worship be undivided/exclusive for Allah(the most Exalted) when there are two other equally unique/perfect entities to adore? The verses of bible used by trinitarians are extremely vague and require hard interpretation to extract the understanding that Father/Son/Holy Ghost are Co-equal/Co-Eternal&distinct.

The muslim north controls the resources in the south through politics, yet the north is the poorest part of Nigeria. In politics, Islamic sentiments have prevalence over any other criteria. This problem is majorly in the north and the Christians in the south do not see that as a problem because they have some level peaceful coexistence over there.

There is . I lived and grew up in it in a certain part of Asia. We non Muslims are walking on egg shells in this part of the world. Our bible gets burnt , churches targeted and there’s a government backed plan to convert non Muslims as well starting with indoctrination in public schools.
Most of us work hard to leave to the West for religious freedom and away from the corruption of religion in politics in a Muslim majority country .

The Turkish woman was arrested at least 3 times. This man was beaten up to within an inch of his life but only once on those many occasions does he mention the police takimg action. This is a 200 year old tradition and something unique to Britain. Its historic signiificance, free speech and human safety, even lives should be protected. Polixe shouldt be in attendance on every occasion. It is only a once a week event.

Great podcast guys! I learn so much and get encouraged. Thank you and keep up the fine work. I hear you mention Jehovahs Witnesses in this. I was raised one yet I agree with everything your saying. How would apologetics be used in countering them? I ask as I have recently gone through some very tough hardships in my marriage. And to be told I’m going through these things because I don’t have Holy Spirit and not doing things Gods way, yet I held on so long in an abusive marriage because of my Christian faith till I couldn’t take the violence. How do you counter such dogma and lack of empathy? My search has brought me to new light and I’m seeing a more compassionate God and Jesus having stepped back.

I'm Italian and raised as migrants in Belgium amongst Marocan Muslim Arabs. I have a lot of friends men and even female girlfriends from that ethnic background. Those times are over, even my moderated Muslim friends have changed today and are "obliged" to radicalised themselves. Why? Because today in Brussels, they are the majority, certainly as men and young people. New comers are worse and almost openly threatening, for sure they separated from the rest as a community also because of the push back from the rest of the population after the 2015 Isis terroristic strucks. Sad to think we will never go back to what life was amongst us in the past. I'm no longer an atheist, I have to be a catholic back.
