You ought to see the one I'm in, good god, I like some of the content and what I like is that politics generally aren't discussed, honestly it's about drugs " philosophy and spirituality " The problem is the politics within the group, my posts about past drug experiences got way more likes and encouraging comments but when it came down to the other two, they were lost. There's politics within the group. The administration have the admin badge and they have several they give and try to be petty and bring up that I don't have one. Them mother fuckers are too much and I explained that my life didn't revolve around it. They throw around this phrase and use words like sheeple and woke and everybody either has unwashed dreads or badly dyed hair and it's either green, red, or blue. Oh god. When I get back on Facebook I'm leaving the group because I don't want my name attached. Not my kind of people and I'm glad I don't fit in with any of them. They are the reason society has such a harsh opinion and stigma about addiction. You ought to see these people carry on, I smoke my weed and look at that shit and it makes me feel better about my life but uncomfortable at the same time.

I had TB about 16 years ago. I was in an isolation ward in the hospital. A woman TB patient who was accross the hall from mea. had an armed policeman in front of her door wearing a mask. She refused to take medications that would have cured her TB. The difference is he wore a mask so he wouldn't catch TB from her. All of the doctors and nurses who came to my room wore masks if I wasn't wearing one. I had to wear one if I left my room for any reason. If there was ever a TB epidemic, masks would be required by law at risk of arrest. These laws are on the books and have been for almost a century. I would love to see antimaskers arrested for spreading a deadly contagious disease like the TB laws do.

I got a job at a preschool and part of that was that I had to be tested for TB. No I didn't have it, but I remember asking my doctor is TB was really still around. He explained we can actually cure it now and it's dangerous for little kids. Then I was sent down to radiology to bother them over there.
I promptly then walked a mile to my next destination and realized about 4 blocks away that I made a bad decision.
I spent 11 years teaching at a state psychiatric hospital. We were required to get tested for TB every year. Most people absolutely do not realize that these types of diseases are common in residential settings. Also, in any setting with many people in limited space, like schools. If you don't believe it, ask any parent about lice and pink eye outbreaks.
“Nobody is sick” tell that to the thousands of mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, sisters and brothers that have _died._ God. That line in particular was absolutely infuriating.

@@bethgold2362 we had a customer that had been a collage professor, and he would come in and belittle not just employees, but other customers as well. One day he told an older lady that she was stupid for believing in God, and made her cry. That was the last straw for me, i took her to the manager, she told him what happened, so they tracked him down and told him he was banned from the store. Then the manager called the corporate office to tell them the situation, never heard from the trouble maker again
What confuses me the most about these people is they aren't even just not wearing a mask themselves but they feel the need to attack people who are. Like not wearing one is one thing but harassing people who are is something else.

That's the thing man. I've been wearing masks for years due to allergies or just when I was feeling sick. I remember back in March, allergy season, an old man literally yelled at me in the grocery store saying "CoViD iS a HoAx". Homie felt dumb as fuck when I told him it was for allergies and have literally been doing this for years. Even when pollution would get bad I would still wear a mask because it helped me breathe better. Some people really do live in their own little world.
The Canadian lady was so effing annoying with her taunting she's literally acting like a bully herself but if Darwinism runs its course properly we don't have to worry about her much longer.

They do realise that most shops hold the right to not serve a customer? And have for years, before we were in a pandemic. They could refuse a customer, even if the pandemic wasn’t a thing.
‘No shoes, no shirt, no service’ has been in force for decades. All establishments have a dress code. A store could have a policy requiring customers to wear a specific shade of lipstick... and refuse entry to anyone not wearing the lippy. And it would be perfectly legal. As long as they are not discriminating on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, race etc... they can refuse entry. AND, even under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), there is a specific exemption which allows a company to refuse entry, even to people with a disability. They are required to make ‘reasonable accommodations’ which would include online ordering, click and collect or home delivery. But they can refuse admission if they believe that to admit you may put other customers or staff at risk to their health.

When my family was sick I was on the road working, and they hid how sick they were from me because they were afraid I'd come home and catch it and die due to my poor health. I still came home the day my dad went into the hospital, had to stay isolated in my room.
Haven't really left my room since then. My mom would start to cry if I talked about returning to work. Finally my doctor said I couldn't go back until I get the vaccine.
We haven't buried my dad yet because my mom won't have a funeral without me there, and her sister is a huge Trump supporter, refuses to wear a mask.
Lost my insurance and got denied Medicaid because I'm not pregnant or blind. Seriously, that's what the letter said. Funny thing is I used to be legally blind. But I don't know how you can deny an asthmatic with Lupus Medicaid during a pandemic, especially when I tried to sign up for normal insurance and they said I'd have to get Medicaid.
Again, I'm so so sorry about your daughter. It was bad enough losing my dad and seeing my sister now suffer, I couldn't imagine losing a child (though I've tried to casually throw out that I'll probably die young to my mom over the years, to prepare her for it if it happens.)

As an essential worker who can't afford to miss a day of work and someone that knows several people that have contracted the virus due to people like that that go out in public spreading germs and being inconsiderate jerks, this really sickens me.
I know. My husband tested positive. Fortunately minimal symptoms. I had to use my PTO. Not the way we want to use our benefits and two days of it were not paid because I ran out of PTO.
I really feel bad for you guys 😕 Whenever I need to go to the store, I make sure to acknowledge the cashier and tell them to have a great day. Lately though I can tell some of them are going through a lot since most of them will just nod back to me and not say a world. Really makes me sad...

I caught covid from my family member who didn’t tell us they were sick. They didn’t show obvious symptoms. I am severely asthmatic and have needed breathing treatments. No sense of smell and taste is more terrifying than you think. Please be careful and protect your families. This virus is real, I have lost my freedom that they preach is an American’s right. I cannot go outside not just for quarantine but because of I get pneumonia I will be hospitalized. All actions have consequences just obey the guidelines so we can beat this virus. Thank you

DrDabski once while I was working we were talking about how opening schools before we even have a handle on this pandemic was the wrong idea, and some old Karen thought it was her conversation to butt into and she said “that is not true. You kids need to be back in school, all other countries are back in school like Germany and Italy. YOU kids need to suck it up.”
Me and my coworkers just stared at her and I just was like “yeah totally” just to shut her up because although I wanted to chew her out I am also at work and that is not professional... if only people had the same thought process even when they aren’t working.
I work at a store and when people try to tell me that they have a right to not wear a mask I just say "Yes, and as a private business we have a right to ask you to leave for not wearing one"
where i work we’re not allowed to kick people out for not wearing a mask (idk why, corp. sucks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) so i just tell them “next time you come in make sure you have a mask on for the safety of other customers” and if i see them (i havent seen a recurring customer who hasnt worn a mask) i’m straight gonna tell them “i’m sorry ma’am/sir, i told you to wear a mask the next time you come in. i can provide you one or they have ones to buy next door, but until you wear one my coworker (who agreed to this btw) and i will not serve you” srs, people are so dumb
as someone who is stuck in fast food until this pandemic is over and i can actually move and get a job in my field (i graduated college and don’t have a guaranteed job in my field bc no one is hiring), i hate people who absolutely REFUSE to wear a mask for 10-30 MINUTES while i have to wear mine for 8 hours or more… this virus scares me and i’m EXTREMELY afraid i’m going to bring it home to my parents everyday, but i need the money and fast food is my only option until everything turns to a “normal” again… i wish MORE PEOPLE would WEAR A MASK so we can get over this pandemic sooner

Yep thats how I ended up with covid even though I was so freaking careful. Only went to the grocery store myself twice in a 2 month period but that was enough because at least 1/3rd weren't wearing masks. I literally had to run away from people with no mask that wouldn't social distance either. I'm immunocompromised and so lucky I'm still alive.

My mom works at a nursing home. Several residents died of Covid-19 because of a single infected paitent. It's not pretty. These elderly paitents already have serious medical problems and they cannot risk getting Covid-19.
Don't get me wrong, I have asthma and anxiety but I still wear my mask. I wanna make sure that if I'm asymptomatic that I don't spread it, and I wanna make those at risk feel safe. I have an immunocompromised neighbor, I always wear a mask and gloves when I visit. I stay 6 feet away to ensure her safety. I did this when I gave her a bag of bellpeppers and tomatoes from my garden.
It's not about me. It's about those at risk.
This which is why I don’t understand why people are complaining when there are literal doctors that people see whenever they go to their doctors appointment that wear masks because they have to wear masks wash their hands because they’re supposed to wash their hands to prevent the spread of germs it’s all over the hospital do you think that humans would know this from the start because people are constantly in the hospital but no one cares at all and it’s sad.

Hell, Ignaz Semmelweis proved that handwashing can lower and even stop the spread of infections in 1847, during an experiment in a Vienna hospital's maturity ward. Fucked up thing is not many people believed him at first. However, handwashing is just common sense in today's society. But no, we have to have people screaming about their rights, the government trying to control them, and thinking the virus is fake.

As a Canadian, I have to say that those types of Karen's are real. It's a real issue up here in Canada. Easiest way to get rid of them, douse them in maple syrup, roll them up with maple leaves and tie them up a tree by they're feet. The bears will do the rest.

I literally got covid from my retail job after some Karen wanted to argue about our mask policy. It sucked for me but I was ultimately fine. I ended up giving it to my mom and she had to go to the hospital and missed 3 weeks of work. She is fine now but Karens like this who deny the existence of covid make my blood boil.

This happened to me when I got engaged… I have underlying conditions from service and when we went out for the first time during Covid because I got engaged I wore a mask and everything I’m super careful and our waitress didn’t wear a mask and wouldn’t when I asked she just said she didn’t have one… I only took my mask off to eat my dinner.
I got Covid with pneumonia and the VA wouldn’t assist I had chest pain and couldn’t get antibiotics for days…
I feel people aren’t respectful of others I was so sick I couldn’t eat for days like around 60ish pounds… 🤷♀️people are awful in this world.
I don’t wear a mask now as much but I don’t eat out anymore AT ALL and have a service dog for balance issues now anyway but stil it blows

literally if you have a “medical exemption” to wearing a mask- get curb side pick up or have your items delivered. You aren’t being discriminated against- you can still get your items. You just have to follow the basic rules of if you can’t wear a mask stay home.

The ADA specifically lays out what you can do with a medical exception. You can wear a faceshield or utilize the pick-up options that literally every business has now and is required to provide.
But these people will still say they won't wear a facesheild and they don't want to use pick up. These Karen's act like they don't have options available to them and thats just infuriating to me.

Yeah, I'm sure all these medical exemptions I keep hearing about are BS. I've only heard it from Karens. I'm a type 1 diabetic with COPD, and my doctor said to wear the mask at all times every time I go out, and I do. I cannot imagine a single doctor that would tell someone with a respiratory condition to NOT wear a mask, unless they're taking advice from some whacked out chiropractor.
I wonder how the medical terminology reads out for "wilful stupidity" & "terminally ignorant" reads out on a doctor's note ?

The protective equipment I had to wear on deployment to the Persian gulf (including a face covering) would have these women sobbing on the floor about “mY rIgHtS!” It’s literally in place for safety and it’s a piece of cloth. Get over it. Try wearing a helmet, goggles, life jacket, long sleeve shirt, long dark pants, steel toe boots, leather gloves, & a face mask all while running on a flight deck fixing heavy equipment or facilitating a flight schedule for 12 hours.Then they can talk about being “restricted”

I think that is partly their point.. One piece of cloth is not going to save people. When people work with viruses in labs and shit they have on full gear like you described. Homemade cloth masks are not the be-all-end-all that people make them out to be. They are hardly any protection, if any at all.

Big Mama I can see your point, but I think a mask is better than nothing at all. Like with STDs. If you wear ...ahem...a protective item, it isn’t guaranteed you won’t get sick, but if you don’t, you will absolutely catch something. To me it’s just a mild inconvenience. If it works, great! We’ve saved some lives. If not, it’s literally a piece of cloth that isn’t going to harm anyone.

I have asthma and i have allergies I have to wear a make Karen's make me sick
I have asthma and a heart condition. I have to wear a mask for teaching, it is not optional. I would also wear them in the stores and into my apartment building, I survived, never had an asthma attack from a mask. The cold weather causes my asthma to flare up. I want life to get back to normal, and if that means I have to wear a mask everywhere I go, then that's what it is.

Unpopular opinion: people should wear masks any time they feel sick and need to go into public, not just for covid precautions - I love the masks!!! I've worked in the service industry almost my whole life and masks are a life saver. I will wear one even if all I have is a runny nose... since covid started I don't have to feel as weird wanting to wear a mask! Germs are nasty and not everyone has the luxury of staying home because of a cold... a mask allows me to keep working without getting all of my coworkers sick.
