I welcome the committees recommendation. The cow belt deserves to be in the Hindi cesspool. Imagine all non Hindi belt where the higher education in mostly in English will be far more educated and in a far better position to further their careers than their cow belt brethren. Just see the difference in eloquence between FM Jai Shankar and the defense minister in a press conference in the USA. The reason English proficiency. The cow belt deserves Hindi.

Mr PTRP Thiagarajan hails from a dravidian cultured family. We the people of Tamilnadu fully endorse our T.N. Finance Minister Hon. PTRP Thiagarajan's view which bewildered the Union Govt. Nothing wrong in democracy, if his advise is well taken by the Union Govt, whose comments are in the interest of the nation and self respect for the Indians who are mesmerized in the name of Hindu religion /sectarian or communalism.

If Hindi will be medium of instruction of in institutes of higher education in Hindi belt, then may be RoI should prohibit students from Hindi belt at their institutes of higher education, wonder how that will sound ?
Wonder why TMC is siltent on this ? Has Bengal lost its spine during the partition ?
Why is it always southern states who rise up when it comes to assault on mother tongue ?
Sorry to say this, but it looks like if it was up to 'West Bengalis' - there might not be a Bangaladesh, we would have happily accepted Urdu and ditched Bengali - because one of our 'leaders' was dreaming of becoming PM...
