    No, it wasn't that Modi had any "gift" of political acumen which kept him in power; it was that he was uniquely ruthless and power hungry and amoral in his degree of corruption that a largely cowardly Hindutva crowd unwittingly fell for. India hasn't had this inept and incompetent a person at its helm in its post independence history. All this was clear about this imposter 10 years ago. He was in power not because of anything extraordinary about him. He was in power because India and Indians are slave to illusions of grandeur that make them kiss the boots pressed against their necks. It is called learned helplessness, and it persists.

    • @vandanatelagi5772
      @vandanatelagi5772 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      Excellent 👌👍 observation 💯😃.
      Also, most citizens of our nation 🇮🇳 are running so fast just feathering their own nest that they have no time to understand the political situation of the nation 🇮🇳. Men may gather a little knowledge, I say a little because it's going to be biased depending on the circumstances that man grows up in. The ladies are mere shadows living in slavery of their husbands. They'll neither voice their opinion or try to boldly think independently on their own and have an opinion of their own that is not influenced by family and friends.
      There are hordes and hordes of people I saw who got voters card just a week or so before the election date and walking around like zombies🤣 asking hey I am going to vote, whom to vote. Can you even digest this situation? The SC (not CJI) must make it compulsory for every citizen to know and understand the political situation of the nation 🇮🇳.
      Then, they must remove EVM or at least retrieve the 15 lakh EVMs that have disappeared and find new method to vote , no need to go to home town, vote from wherever you are, even if you are in NY or LA or Paris or Oslo or Timbuktu or Jericho. We army people are never in one station, so it's difficult for us to go to hometown and vote. If voter turnout is 100%, the results will be unbelievable, but that's what is majority govt, otherwise, everything is minority govt.

    A wonderful insightful analysis of election results. Those who are thinking authoritarian danger is gone may get a rude shock in future unless we remain more vigilant. Pratapbhanu’s analysis is so incisive and pragmatic you need to hear couple of times more to get insight. One thing is really worrying that urban middle and upper middle class has probably converted irreversibly into communal and will not change in near future whether BJP will be in power or not. One of the best discussions that I have seen so far. Karan & Pratap, both being eloquent, seasoned, and analytical in their discourse. Karan as always being charismatic, objective, and asking questions with a moral spine. And Pratap being forthright, diagnostical, and eloquently charismatic in giving in answers like a true Professional. Viewers will benefit and imbibe from the wisdom, knowledge, and effortful speech from both Karan & Pratap. Thank You Wire. Thank You Karan. - Anees Rahman

      If you want to hate on Modi, you can - it's a free country. But his statement was this:
      “When my mother was alive, I used to believe that I was born biologically. After she passed away, upon reflecting on all my experiences, I was convinced that God has sent me. This energy could not be from my biological body, but was bestowed upon me by God...whenever I do anything, I believe god is guiding me."
      In Hindi, it is much more clear, and nuanced.
      Actually, it is Hindu belief that EVERYONE is sent by God for some purpose.
      A Normal Statement of Dharmic Spirituality is being twisted this way by the Macaulay Minds, but I believe this left liberal propaganda will fall flat.
      And Modi will be back for a fourth term with full majority.
      We won't take things for granted in 2029. We will come out and vote.

Especially the loksabha emphatic win in odisha, second it it is not rejection of hindutva, but an exhaustion of communal polarization. Important they will hype the polarizing politics in TN and Kerala, and as a long term plan. So the worry remains.
