Came for the review, wish I hadn't watched the whole thing, in a good way. Great review, but it got me to my dealer and within 5 minutes I was handed keys to a demo and well... now I am picking one up on Thursday haha.
+DukeOfDC Yeah man, the dealer didn't mess around. he knew what I wanted and it steamrolled from there. Thanks again! giving up the repsol is going to hurt.
***** I was going 95 mph... lol. Also, you can feel immense power at lower speeds. It's not about how fast you're going, but how quick you can get there on this.
Damnnn that's a pretty killer deal man. Doooo itt! Join the dark side of the force (V4's FTW lol) even though i might be getting an inline 4 very soon.
The Muscle Biker I like your style man, ball so hard. I am indeed getting a BMW, which one though is still a mystery haha. I'm a sucker for that DDC man... my ass needs ample cushion haha
The RF is a beast on track especially laguna seca and Cota, as a a daily absolute ear to ear grin in the helmet but still easy to ride with all of that power. Raced with a s1krr for a couple years and now see them everyhwhere on the streets but aprilia still remains unknown by most of the street crowd.
I just purchased a new rsv4 rf left over from 2016 ,Got it for 16,000.I just took it for the first ride.Omg couldn't believe all the power. This bike is at another level
Geez man I just washed my new Dorsoduro spotless and woke up this morning and found your channel by accident. And now after watching this I gotta take her out for a spin and get her all bugged up again. I was planning on taking my other bikes out for a week or two. Damn you Duke! Btw I got it at La Moto In Arlington. I watch Moto vids every single day for years and haven’t seen you until today. You do good work man I’m surprised I haven’t run into you until now. Sub button has been hit
Skyland really appreciate the positive comment my friend! Sorry for the dirty bike, but it’s worth it haha. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus with the rest of the world, but looking forward to coming back and continuing to make bike and car videos!
New rider here, on an Aprilia 660cc one-banger :D Love the brand, all their rides seem to have been made with quality, performance, and good pricing in mind. Plus, Italian>all ! -subbed
Great quick review! I'm really torn between the Aprilia and Ducati. I have a 2007.5 Tuono now and love it, but have always wanted a Ducati. Tested out a 1299s and a 959, which were both badass and beautiful! The 959 was actually more enjoyable to ride on the street than the 1299, to me. True, that v4 engine is freaking amazing!
DukeOfDC Im 27 at the moment. Always been into cars and bikes. Got a fast car. And now i need a bike haha! Im choosing between the ducati panigale 1199 s and the aprilia rsv4. I like these bikes because they are a little shorter and smaller in comparison to the suzuki and honda
Great review. Because of this fantastic review I just picked up a 2016 rsv4. Same color. I went with , ordered an SC Project srt ti exhaust and Pc 5. On 1st service I will have an ex-AMA pro tune the PC 5 on the dyno. I used to own an 07 rsv v-twin ape. Was a monster with full system ti Akra evo pipes. Can not wait to blast off!
Loved this!! This is the exact bike and color that I want. BTW, the brakes are Brembo M430, not M50. Also, they are making many more RSV4 RF beyond the limited edition 500 units, so no problem getting one. The only differences between the RR and the RF are the Ohlins, the wheels (a few pounds lighter on the RF) and the paint job. That's it!! Engine power and all the rest is the the same. An awesome deal! For the street, the RR's suspension is smoother. And I just love that new black design!! Amazing!! Let's be best friends: The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane :)
Thanks for the update on the brakes!! I added a note during that section so not to mislead people :) Interesting news on the RF production. Makes financial sense on Aprilia's part though. The RR is a seriously awesome deal, especially pitted up against it's realistic competitors. Hahahah love the BF statement.
Awesome video bro... I'm not kidding you your previous review of the Tuono 1100 made me sell my bike. I am in the market for a new Aprilia, and now this video just made it harder to choose one..lol.. The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane..
Thank you, and wow!! Scary that I have that kind of influence, but you surely wouldn't be disappointed in either of these bikes (RSV4 RR or Tuono RF) interesting though, as you could get the RF Tuono for the price of the RSV4 RR... maybe that's your anwser right there.
The 1100 is an awesome piece of kit. A better street bike than the RSV4 for sure, as it is really focused on being a racing bike that you can ride on the street (which is actually not a shining recommendation as many people think). The Tuono works much better on the street and on tight, technical race tracks it's also a threat - but at 1100cc it's not legal to race in most classes, shame.
A racing bike that you can ride on the street sounds like the perfect descriptor for what I want out of my next bike.. (Shaman? is that you..?) I'm almost positive I will be choosing the 1100 at this point. I just need to get back from a business trip.
Pretty bike. Rode this and it's fun, a top bike and will leave you smiling. My preference is still the Bmw S1000RR which feels more well rounded across the gears - slow or fast it's just so well balanced.
That's it! I'm buying one even if I have to sell my car! Thanks Duke! You are obviously biased because of your love for these machines but I totally understand why. They Are Awesome!!!
I have it on good authority, Aprilia isnt importing the RR into the UK this year. It seems that instead of making a Factory edition like in previous years, they are now just making unnumbered RF models instead and selling those. I think the limited run of 500 was just for 2015, and theyre just in the catalogue now. I tested the RF a week or two back and there was no limited run numbers on it, and I loved it soo much. Im 6'1" and found it surprisingly comfy, it was like my Tuono but just so much more.....of everything, but for my 2014 Tuono plus 10 grand uk, it was just a little rich for my wallet. Good test ride buddy!
Hmmm, they must be pretty damn sure that the more expensive RF is a hit in the UK, which I'm sure it is. But what if I want the number 1 edition of the RF ;) lol. I'm heading over to your RF video now to see if we compared thoughts on ur respective rides. Glad to see it fit a taller rider as I'm closer to Moto GP height haha.
*last* year this was true. This year it is not. BTW, I have a Canadian RF with number and carbon trim. Love it. Just had it on the track, it turns, grips and goes better than the 200hp GSX-R 1000 I raced this weekend, which was twice as expensive. It's .. that good.
That was one of the funniest line fron Colin Mochrie on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?". That Aprilia is a nice bike! Gotta check out the bike shop in Arlington too, I work about 15-20 min from there.
The RR is a better street bike than the RF. I have a RF, so I am not talking @#$% here (#76/200). The RR has a bit heavier wheels which aid the bike at low speed maneuvering in cities and parking lots, and will hold up better with road hazards. The RR also has suspension with two seals in the forks, so if you do a lot of wheelies they are less likely to leak than the single-seal forks in the RF. The RF will be the better track bike with better feel through the front end, but like I said, the RR is a better street bike. Additionally, the RR gets mechanically the same everything - engine, brakes, rotors... same power, etc. The RF LE does get a bluetooth system for communicating with lap timers, gps and data acquisition apps by default (but my numbered bike did not, WTF). The RF is a boutique bike, the RR is not - same price as the R1 and ZX10R but as good as the R1 to ride and better than the ZX10R - and better looking than either. If you think the RR was good on the street, try one on the track and really lean on the TC and brakes... phenomenal for a stock bike, you could take off the mirrors, tape up the lights, jack the back end up 5mm or so, give it a bit of compression damping and win an amateur race on it. Just unbelievable how hard it pulls from even 6,000 RPM and stock gearing lets you use 1st on hairpins without fear of dragging the rear under braking or running out of revs exiting - 1st gear will do nearly 110mph and it will steer with precision at full throttle. Just an insanely good package for racing - take a look at WSST and Moto-America SST where Aprilia is an unfunded underdog and winning races against the likes of Graves Yamaha with their big-dollar factory team.
Damn this is a long ass comment lol. Making me learn how to read... lol. Interesting thoughts on the RR vs the RF though! The price difference alone had me sold!
I type fast. LOL And BTW I don't know if you got a chance off-camera, but where the new bike really shines is up around 13,200 rpm. When I had it at the track, it pulled stupid hard all the way from 6,000 rpm to 13,500 rpm which is just ridiculous - makes the bike so flexible that you can't help but ride it fast even if you weren't intending to. Had it roast the rear tire in TC mode 2 at 200kph in fourth and the TC pumped the rear shock a bit while it searched for grip, insane amount of capability for a stock bike. Oh, and I really *like* the bullet bar ends. lol
There is no way absolutely not the plus suspension of the RF rules of the road ! It’s a whole lot better bike you get lots better gadgets for your money when you get the RF the special if you buy at last year‘s model for $16,000 You can buy Yamaha are one for 7500 bucks cash from the dealer. The Aprilia is an amazing bike the RF How’s the best fuel out of any bike for any road conditions ! You supposed to know how to do wheelie come down gently not come crashing down on the bike ! So your little double gasket just this out the door doesn’t even make sense you shouldn’t be on one of these bikes if you can’t do a nice Wheely ! I’ve been on the 2012 Honda 2016 R1 I’ve owned a BMW 2016 with all the gadgets ! By far the best bike is the Aprilia RSV4 RF NOT THE RR !!!!!! The Duck his two finicky in the front ! The new Honda has quick med turn acceleration that’s at strong point . It will take a few years for them to get the bikes sorted out . The Aprilla is getting ready for a new Engine that will be able to get more power . It’ll be a new configuration in the V design . Instead of the 65° V that they use now There’s no way that our art is better I’m just laughing ! I would love to get you on a nice twist to Canyon Road in just drop you wanna 300cc
Thank you very much.Pretty intense.Looks better now that the fender is gone and blinkers.Put a license plate brachet on it with blinkers in it.looks awesome. Very intense bike
Thanks for the reply. I'm a stickler on good audio. My channel is a Firearm/Silencer review channel and sound quality is of the upmost importance. I was thinking about toying around with recording some escapades on my 899 Panigale for my own enjoyment (not for my channel) but there's no point in doing it with crappy audio! Thanks for the specs!
+NFA Review Channel I was checking out your channel after you commented. Superb audio on your end as well. Good luck with the 899 stuff, and maybe you'll change your mind and release a video or two on the channel!
Just discovered your channel, really great content just subbed. Also never stop reviewing bikes in this format I feel like there's a bit of a gap in the TH-cam vids content on first ride impressions of any bikes other than pretty common types- bmw/Yamaha/Kawasaki etc.
Thanks for the kind words and support! I just feel like people want an honest impression of a normal average rider taking out a bike that they're potentially looking at buying. I'll keep trying to bring unique bikes to the channel, and trust me, this Tuesdays review is veryyy unique! Check me out on instagram for a sneak peak!
i just came back from a triumph aprilia dealer and man i saw that RR and i think im getting it... i mean im a kawasaki guy but that damn thing is sexy..
I was looking at the RSV4 but being a Kawasaki fan and their announcement of the 2016 zx10 back in october, deposit went in on that the next weekend.. Still might grab one
Stock to stock, the RR is a quicker and more capable bike. It's been reviewed and tested against the RR and even from onboard videos you can see how much more stable and easy to ride the RR is. Kawasaki has a great bike, no doubt, but it's still not top of the charts and is roughly the same price as the RR.
I was thinking of gettin a liter bike for my next bike. I like the the 959 Panigale, the 2017 gsxr1000 and this bike has really caught my eye although I don't know very much about it. Any you'd recommend?
Don't really know what the new GSX-R will be like yet. I do know that this bike is probably the easiest 200hp bike to ride ever, lol Personally I think it outclasses the 959 on capability and the i4 bikes on character. The 1299S is much more of a contender in this class.
Steve C I've heard the 959 referred to as a "beginner liter bike", I heard the heat from the exhaust is something terrible though. I have a zx6r now but none of the other 600's interest me, at least not enough to switch. Unless that new R6 ever comes out. The aprilia sounds like it's damn hard to beat, it's obviously capable, powerful and that color scheme is gorgeous.
My dream bike, RR in these Colours. I think the local dealer has a few too many, that showed up to late in the season; so I might have to go make a deal on some old stock come Winter! -"The reindeer in spain was hit mainly by the plane!"
Yes!! You made it to the end :) Dude, winter is a great time to buy leftover stock from dealers, and an even better time to hit of CL and find an insane deal on a used bike.
Yessir! Up here in Canada, it's all about the Kijiji! Although after 23 years in the bike game, second hand is always "buyer beware". If you ever make it up to Alberta, Canada, gimme a shout and come by the shop! We can hit up a 403 Group Ride, and maybe even SnowCat will come hangout.
Likewise. Question for ya, do you think this RSV4 RR is comfy enough to ride for a whole day? I just did a 6 hr day, on a 2013 GSXR 750, and I started to feel it my neck and wrists at the end.
Bloody great review mate. I'll be checking out La Moto 18th June when I'm in the USA.I'll tell them you told me to check them out. May get a deal on some stuff ;) "The Reindeer in Span was hit mainly by the plane" - My Fair Lady?
Very nice video! I need to go test ride the RSV4 and the S1000rr. One of those two will be my next bike for sure unless, since my plan is to turn my 08 CBR 1K into a track bike. Also subbed!!!
I figured you would like that bike. That color scheme is excellent. Was at my dealer Saturday but with all the crazy traffic I didn't want to demo anything. Though I don't think they have an rr demo right now I would like to check it out. Not sure if there will be a factory for next year but the original 2016 was out of 200 for North America I believe. The new 2016 is not limited but is slightly different. How would you rank this bike compared to other liter bikes? You've ridden the BMW and 1299. Anything else?
Possibly the best SuperSport bike I've ridden to date, although I really did love the 959 and the S1000RR. Decisions decisions lol. Definitely check one out for yourself if you get a chance!
I always thought being tall had no cons until I started to ride. It sucks having to disregard most 600s and 1000s just because my legs are cramped as fuck whilst being flat out uncomfortable during the ride :\ worst part is I'm only 6'2 which isn't even that tall compared to some giants I see walking around.
Hmmm, sounds like at some point in time you need to try out a Super Duke. The SDR is much more fitting to taller riders, or so I've heard. I'm not tall by any stretch of the imagination, but the leg room is next level.
Dirkaah true. I feel the same. They should make a 600 cc bike with RSV4's look and design. That would make it a lot easier and affordable for those who do not have money for 1000cc bike but want to buy one.
I am really on the fence between the Tuono RF and the RSV4RR. They are both about the same $, but the tuono has the Ohlins suspension, and I'm sure is more comfortable on longer rides. But is down about 30bhp compared to the RSV4. You have ridden both now, do you really notice the hp difference enough to where its worth sacrificing a little comfort? is there a real noticeable difference in handling and ride quality between the Ohlins and Sachs suspensions? Thx. Love the vids. Keep on posting.
You've got a tough choice ahead of you my friend. That being said, it's really more a question of what kind of riding you plan on doing. Are you going to be going to a track? If so, the RSV4 may be the right choice for you. If you're more of a tooling around town, commuting, hitting twisties on the weekend then the Tuono is a very very well rounded motorcycle. The RF was really something too, as they have improved the comfort of this years model by leaps and bounds from my Tuono. As for a noticeable power difference, unless you are pushing the bike over 100mph, then you won't notice a big difference and may in fact be quicker on the Tuono (especially to 60mph, as the torque curve plays more in your favor).
Nice review Duke! My main concern about the RSV4 was the ergos. Seemed really aggressive when I sat on one but seems like it's not an issue? How's the wind blast at freeway speeds? I get quite a bit on my Tuono. Oh... and the reindeer in Spain is hit mainly on the plane!
Thank you :) Yeah, this RSV4 has improved ergos tremendously. I was shocked at how comfortable I remained throughout the entirety of the ride. Wind blast is much less than what you experience on your Tuono. I would say there was a bit more buffeting around the helmet because of the stock windscreens size, but an easy fix with a double bubble.
what would you choose? RSV4 RR or Tuono? currently riding fz07 as my first bike, love FZ07 but already want to go bigger bike. Love the aprilia it looks, also not much people riding apilia especially in Canada. Im considering FZ10, RSv4 and Tuono, most likely prefer RSV4 or FZ10, what's your thought between RSV4 and Tuono? Since you tried it both ! i will be really appreciate if you can reply my question :D!!!
Hey man! Hmm so idk if you're on an FZ-07 and want to move to a FZ-10 but love Aprilia's then I would think you'd enjoy the Tuono RF 1100 a bit more than an RSV4. More power than you'll ever need, but still comfortable for longer rides
I am a new rider just getting my license but I've been looking for a few months now at which bike I will buy, for some reason I always come back to Aprilia, the looks the paint schemes even the name makes me want one. I don't know if this will be the choice for me being a new rider and all, maybe you and other viewers can make some recommendations as to which Aprilia to start on, will that choice hold a good resale value when it's time for me to move up, also some say waiting for parts from this brand is tough, one guy had waited 4-7 weeks, any input is appreciated!. Thanks
It gets hot lol but in comparison to the 1299 I would say it's less of an issue. The reason I say this is because the 1299 has a very specific point that heats up under your right hamstring, and the RSV4 just overall gets hot
Dude track down a fj 09 tracer and tell me what you think, I think you'd be able to figure it out and open that chapter on sport touring bikes, Ala s1000xr
Hey! No issues on my end. The Tuono has gone in for it's 600 and 6000 mile service, and of course when it went down, but other than that I have had no issues.
Thats good to note! I have read that Aprilias are known for problems. I find them beautiful and for about 17k its still cheaper than a s1000rr and some r1
U cant get "spirited" on GW parkway!!.. lol i hate that area.. my grandmother and grandfather lives in mt Vernon.. hate the traffic. Come up here to harford county maryland.. ill show u some sweet ass back roads with no traffic!! Got to say though, i love aprilia bikes. Only thing that has stopped me from buying aprilia or agusta is maintenance cost..!! My cbr is cheap to maintain.
im considering this bike and would probably get a deal on it but man that front end lights are just not talking to me... i know a small thing right but still. other then that looks pretty nice.
I actually don't mind the front lights too much other than the way they are wired for the states. Also, I'm exactly like you when it comes to the small things! Won't consider a bike unless it has gold forks.... I'm a twat lol
+DukeOfDC thx for responding. I'm thinking also about the Ducati panigale 959 aside from the euro side cans that we got here I love the way tha looks... Any thoughts?
Came for the review, wish I hadn't watched the whole thing, in a good way.
Great review, but it got me to my dealer and within 5 minutes I was handed keys to a demo and well... now I am picking one up on Thursday haha.
LOL damn you work quickly haha. Where is my commission from Aprilia.
+DukeOfDC Yeah man, the dealer didn't mess around. he knew what I wanted and it steamrolled from there. Thanks again! giving up the repsol is going to hurt.
Ben Ellis you like nuts
It doesn't matter what other bikes i look at, i always end up back at this.
It's fate man!! Follow your heart :)
FINALLY! I've been waiting for a good review of this bike! Thanks duke
You're welcome :)
One of the best RSV4 reviews on the net.
Thank you!!
DukeOfDC You got it. :)
Hardly. All I saw was nothing but twisting the throttle in a straight line.
BloodySinner He was probably referring more so to the degree of information shared about the bike. I suck at riding, I know this, move on... lol
FYI - The speedometer was actually in Kilometers per hour, so don't freak out haha. I sadly didn't go 157 mph on a demo lol.
I was gonna say, I've been to D.C. and I don't remember highways with speed limits of 100+ 😂😂
hahaha I was thinking about just leaving you guys to thinking :)
i was gonna say that cant be right........170mph :)
I would have understood the freak out if it was mph. No need to cry about excelling to 40mph.....
***** I was going 95 mph... lol. Also, you can feel immense power at lower speeds. It's not about how fast you're going, but how quick you can get there on this.
There is a 2013 RSV$ F SBK edition in my area for 13k and only 2000 miles....I'm sooooo tempted
Damnnn that's a pretty killer deal man. Doooo itt! Join the dark side of the force (V4's FTW lol) even though i might be getting an inline 4 very soon.
DukeOfDC haha it's either that or a 1199 Penigale S for the same price...I guess I could buy both lol you gettin a BMW?
The Muscle Biker I like your style man, ball so hard. I am indeed getting a BMW, which one though is still a mystery haha. I'm a sucker for that DDC man... my ass needs ample cushion haha
DukeOfDC hahaha I don't blame ya! I'll waitin to see what you get either way the bmw's are great bikes
YOLO!

Damn, I've seen the videos of the RF on COTA and omgomgomg
I just purchased a new rsv4 rf left over from 2016 ,Got it for 16,000.I just took it for the first ride.Omg couldn't believe all the power. This bike is at another level
Congratulations man!! Hope you have many action packed and safe miles ahead!
Thanks man,love your videos.
What was your OTD? I'm working a deal on a left over rsv4 rf and my OTD is currently $18.2k. Should I push for lower?
Chris Noblett push back man!
One of the things that stand out to me visually beside the whole amazing look is the bar ends xD I love em
This bike. Came for the RSV4, subbed just because you've got an Aprilia
Geez man I just washed my new Dorsoduro spotless and woke up this morning and found your channel by accident. :D You're awesome! Thanks for the support!
I put the seat from the '16 Tuono RR on my '14 Tuono....what a huge difference. Way more comfortable and worth the $160ish paid for it.
Smart! Just plain smart lol. What can I say, I have a stubborn ass lol
you made me fall in love with this bike
Yay!!
Great quick review! I'm really torn between the Aprilia and Ducati. I have a 2007.5 Tuono now and love it, but have always wanted a Ducati. So much fun to watch! Honest and straight review. You sounded like you really were having a great time!
+boost scooby thank you!! Appreciate the positive vibes man! I was absolutely having a blast. Can't wait to get out on the new 2017 models next year!
Yooo that's so cool man!! Congratulations on the new bike!
+DukeOfDC thank you. Good luck on your next purchase. M2 perhaps?
This black/red edition is an absolute beauty.
What a fair lady.
Agreed! I personally favor it over the RF scheme
Duke, your review is always giving me Motercycle-liveliness. Great job!!
:D that's awesome. I'm glad you're enjoying them!
Loved this!! This is the exact bike and color that I want. BTW, the brakes are Brembo M430, not M50. M432 actually. That means M4 caliper, 32mm pistons. Larger pistons have better feel, so they were updated from the 2013+ models which have M430s.
Awesome video bro... I'm not kidding you your previous review of the Tuono 1100 made me sell my bike. I am in the market for a new Aprilia, and now this video just made it harder to choose one..lol.. The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane..

Pretty bike. Rode this and it's fun, a top bike and will leave you smiling.
My preference is still the Bmw S1000RR which feels more well rounded across the gears - slow or fast it's just so well balanced.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the s1000rr is a beast.
Balanced but kinda boring.
That's it! I'm buying one even if I have to sell my car! Thanks Duke! You are obviously biased because of your love for these machines but I totally understand why. They Are Awesome!!!
Haha! Yes!!! Go buy one :D

Dat V4 torque. Reminds me of the good old V65 Magna/Sabre days
Torque for dayyysss lol
honda v4s in general
My grandpa had an old Honda sabre. Never got to ride it but always thought it was such a good looking bike....
Looking into getting a bike. First time on your channel, really enjoyed the video and quality all around. Keep it up!
Yeah man I am 6’2 and did a first ride on this bike but the 2018 model. I felt a bit too big on it. Great bike though!
Oh, and I really *like* the bullet bar ends. lol
Thanks very much for sharing this great info Steve. I enjoyed reading your comments.
There is no way absolutely not the plus suspension of the RF rules of the road !
It’s a whole lot better bike you get lots better gadgets for your money when you get the RF the special if you buy at last year‘s model for $16,000
You can buy Yamaha are one for 7500 bucks cash from the dealer.
The Aprilia is an amazing bike the RF
How’s the best fuel out of any bike for any road conditions !
You supposed to know how to do wheelie come down gently not come crashing down on the bike !
So your little double gasket just this out the door doesn’t even make sense you shouldn’t be on one of these bikes if you can’t do a nice Wheely !
I’ve been on the 2012 Honda
2016 R1
I’ve owned a BMW 2016 with all the gadgets !
By far the best bike is the Aprilia RSV4 RF
NOT THE RR !!!!!!
Instead of the 65° V that they use now
There’s no way that our art is better I’m just laughing !
I would love to get you on a nice twist to Canyon Road in just drop you wanna 300cc
Thank you very much.Pretty intense.Looks better now that the fender is gone and blinkers.Put a license plate brachet on it with blinkers in it.looks awesome. Very intense bike
sexy sexy :D
Ohhh yeahhh
RSV4 RF has also forged aluminum wheels.
True story. Only mentioned the Ohlins in the interest of time
What camera/ external mic are you using? Sounds GREAT!
+NFA Review Channel thanks man! I use a GoPro Hero 4 Silver and a 2 channel Sony lapel mic
2018 has all the features on the RR that you wished the 2016 had... awesome bikes
Dooo ittt!!!!
Great review, thanks Duke!
You're welcome :)
Try something Italian. Simply love my Tuono Factory.
Steve C
I've heard the 959 referred to as a "beginner liter bike", I heard the heat from the exhaust is something terrible though. I have a zx6r now but none of the other 600's interest me, at least not enough to switch. Unless that new R6 ever comes out. The aprilia sounds like it's damn hard to beat, it's obviously capable, powerful and that color scheme is gorgeous.
Yep..I'm getting that as my 1st bike!
Definitely a sexy and special motorcycle! I love that matte paint scheme on that beast... beautiful. Nice video.
I need that matte paint on my Tuono, and go into stealth mode
DukeOfDC yes, yes you do
Amazing bike Duke, loved the vid man! Keep up the great work!👍😄
They just keep getting better and better!!
+DukeOfDC yes sir they do!😊
Loving all the videos as of lately, also, I heard a report that the reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane
I've been cranking them out recently lol. Yes!! Whose Line Is It Anyway :)
I bought the new Tuono factory 2016 and its an amazing bike ...but id probably go for that rsv4 rr soon your review made me want to go for it 🤗
Hahahah I'm a terrible influence :)
+DukeOfDC hahaha true
Will do man! That sounds like a fucking blast. It's about time I start planning some absolutely epic road trips too.
Likewise. Question for ya, do you think this RSV4 RR is comfy enough to ride for a whole day? I just did a 6 hr day, on a 2013 GSXR 750, and I started to feel it my neck and wrists at the end.
Great review! Thanks for sharing
Great vlog and review. Definitely subbed!
Thank you for subscribing man!! Really appreciate it :)
Thanks I found a left over rsv4 rf for 16..Im looking at it tomorrow
The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plain. I have no idea what this is about! Good review, as always.
It's an old whose line reference lol
The reindeer in spain was hit mainly by the plane!
:D
I subscribed because of this video, and yes I own a 2016 but in silver, cool vid man.
Bloody great review mate. I'll be checking out La Moto 18th June when I'm in the USA.I'll tell them you told me to check them out. May get a deal on some stuff ;)
"The Reindeer in Span was hit mainly by the plane" - My Fair Lady?
Thank you!! Yes!! Definitely tell them I sent you :D It's a Whose Line reference lol
How about the RSV4 RR Race Pack, i mean it's the same with RF just different graphics, Cheers.
The race pack isn't a option in the US or Canada.
Thank you for the information.
It is now. So is the RF-W.
Wow Arlington is super close for me
Great review btw
Thank you!
Very nice video! I need to go test ride the RSV4 and the S1000rr. One of those two will be my next bike for sure unless, since my plan is to turn my 08 CBR 1K into a track bike. Also subbed!!!
Thanks for subbing!!! You really can't go wrong with either of those bikes!
+DukeOfDC Your Welcome DukeOfDC, you have great videos.
5 Months to go (saving money) and i get my 2016 Aprilia RSV4 RR can not wait!! $25k Australian
So awesome man!! Well I wish you luck over the next 5 months, and a future congratulations on the bike!
Cheers mate, maybe I'll start finally vlogging once i get the bike.
The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane!
:D
Nice review sir!
Thank you!
Great review, what gloves are those?
I always thought being tall had no cons until I started to ride. It sucks having to disregard most 600s and 1000s just because my legs are cramped as fuck whilst being flat out uncomfortable during the ride :\ worst part is I'm only 6'2 which isn't even that tall compared to some giants I see walking around.
Hmmm, sounds like at some point in time you need to try out a Super Duke. The SDR is much more fitting to taller riders, or so I've heard. I'm not tall by any stretch of the imagination, but the leg room is next level.
I wish Aprilia had a 675 like MV Agusta does. I love the Aprilias but I don't need a 900+cc bike.
Dirkaah true. I feel the same. They should make a 600 cc bike with RSV4's look and design. That would make it a lot easier and affordable for those who do not have money for 1000cc bike but want to buy one.
Dirkaah Too bad their management is too fucking STUPID to even consider it. Never seen a company with so much wasted potential...
ScrewCaptain27 agreed on that one.
Nice job Duke. Great "first ride/impressions" vid. :) The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane????
Thank you! And yes!!! It's a whose line is it anyway reference lol
Gotcha. Cheers.
Nice review and beautiful green scenery.Where you at?
George Washington Parkway, just outside of DC
i love your videos keep up the good work
:D yay!
That is such a nice bike
Agreed :) I was drooling in the showroom lol
XD i probably would aswell DukeOfDC
***** 5'9"
***** Thank you!!
How was it compared to the Tuonos power?
The reindeer in spain was hit by the plane
It demolished it. So much power.
Time to book a test ride then! :)
Awesome video man, subbed!
Thank you man :) Appreciate the support :)
No worries m8! Glad I found your channel
Sounds amazing 😜 the reindeer in Spain 🇪🇸 was hit mainly by the plane ✈️
Heyyyy you watched to the end :D
What camera is shooting video?
GoPro Hero 4 Silver
And then Sony rx100ii for the off bike stuff.
what would you choose?
You mentioned the front brake calipers were the M50s? I thought Aprilia was using M430s on the RR?
Yeah, I made a mistake. Sorry.
DukeOfDC No worries man. Great video. Didn't want viewers to get the wrong idea. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's a sweet bike. Cheers.
Thanks
Hi duke, what about the engine heat? If you can compare it to ducati 1299 which is better buy in your oppinion? If money is not the issues.
I've been begging to ride Yamaha's for at least a year with no luck :/
I know you have an Aprilia, and i was wondering if the brand is very maintenance happy? is there a lot of problem with Aprilas?
So you rode the Panigale 1299 and Aprilia RSVRR or factory which of these 2 if money was not a consideration would you go for ? Porgue?
Panigale if money wasn't an issue.
theres a guy on the af1 forums who makes a harness that turns the running lights into blinkers, for people who do barends
damnnn that would look sexual.
DukeOfDC they fit the tuono too
Most bikes are reasonably well behaved on the open road but what's it like in town/city? Smooth or does it lurch everywhere?
It was easy to ride in slow speed situations, but got a little hot in spot and go traffic for 30 minutes.
Nice job! I wonder how this bike will compare to an ZX-10r. Cand you do a first ride of ZX-10r? Thank you!
I'll keep looking. Finding Japanese bikes to do demos on has been extremely difficult lol.
what a beautiful scenery.
The GW Parkway is something else isn't it? Absolutely love riding along the river
How was the view on the side mirrors? Arms blocking what percentage? Very interreted in this bike.
The reindeer in Spain was hit mainly by the plane...... Wtf is that from dude?
Whose Line is it Anyway haha
U cant get "spirited" on GW parkway!!.. lol i hate that area.. my grandmother and grandfather lives in mt Vernon.. hate the traffic. Come up here to harford county maryland.. ill show u some sweet ass back roads with no traffic!! Got to say though, i love aprilia bikes. Only thing that has stopped me from buying aprilia or agusta is maintenance cost..!! My cbr is cheap to maintain.
I'm on the fence with RSV4 or Tuono 2017.... what would you get?
The reindeer in spane was hit mainly by the plane
Jeez! Finaly! xd Love it ;) as always xd
Hahhaa right? This ones been coming for a longgg time.
Hi there good video but why dont you show the part where you start the bike i wanted to hear it grumble in action
I think I have a extras video for this bike where I do in fact start it up!
Can you do a review of the new ducati streetfighter?
I might just be able to! Let me see if Battley has one in stock :D
hey duke, which bike do you prefer in the naked section ...aprilia or BMW,planning to buy one
+F1freak 1 super Duke!!! But if it had to be one of those two, uhhhh too difficult to answer lol
DukeOfDC one of the toughest decision in my life
aprilia vs bmw
I feel you man. God speed lol
Hey bro, how long do they let you keep it for a test ride? @dukeofdc
I try and be courteous to the dealership and get them back within an hour and a half
If you had your choice between this and the 2015 BMW S1000RR, which one would you go for?
+DukeOfDC would you rather have the tuono factory or this?
+derMtn hmmmm, this cause it would be totally new to me
Alright but what about the riding experience on the street which is more fun
quality-ass-channel homie. subbed
Yoooo, good looking out man, thank you!!
THAT NOOOICEE!
:D
Low end torque high end horsepower and plenty of headroom
Bingo bango
im considering this bike and would probably get a deal on it but man that front end lights are just not talking to me... i know a small thing right but still. other then that looks pretty nice.
Any thoughts?
iREVIEWitALL No problem! If you scroll through the comments a bit, I think you'll find a comment about the 959 vs the RSV4 and my thoughts :)
does this bike have cruise control
Great bike!
Yes it is!! Can't wait until the 2017 models!
