    www.revzilla.co...
    Power, speed, and signature Italian swagger that emanates from the bike like unruly solar blasts of moto-sexy from the Sun. That, in a nutshell, is the 2016 Aprilia Tuono Factory Motorcycle. Crafted as carefully as the Mona Lisa and as sturdy as the Colosseum itself, the Tuono V4 1100 Factory and the Tuono V4 RR are the epitome of the sleek, sexy, Italian-moto aesthetic. From the on-board electronics that can get you through the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs, to the ultra-premium suspension and braking systems, the Aprilia Tuono Factory bike is already making its case for Best Motorcycle of the year.

    Really good review!
    I've enjoyed all of Revzilla's reviews, even for bikes I wasn't interested in. However, I've really enjoyed the couple of times I've seen Bucky. I think having someone focus on sport bikes all the time would be great.

    Awesome job!! one of the best road test I have seen around on this bike... I have my brand new Tuono V4 1100 Factory being delivered next week (I can wait no more!!!); but I was missing someone talking about what it really feels when you are on the bike on twisty roads, and at the same time, be able to watch it.. congratulations!!! thumbs up!!

      +Jayden Valentine It's a better tourer and good for two-up riding. The S1000XR has provisions for saddle-bags, cruise control, grip warmers, up and down quick-shifter, electronically controlled suspension for on-the-fly adjustments, plus much better wind protection. If I didn't plan to do any cruising on it, I would have probably gotten the Tuono 1100.

    • @SteveC-Shaman
      @SteveC-Shaman 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like he said, it's a different category. Put the two on that canyon road and you might be able to hold on to the T with a great deal of effort. On a race track, no hope in hell.

      +laktoweiz Yes, it's the Scorpion EXO-R2000 Fortis graphic. We find it's about 90% as good as a Shoei RF-1200 at 75% of the price. So it's almost as good and more affordable than it should be. -DrewZilla

    That's one of the most convoluted contraptions that you have as your camera mount! Isn't there a simpler way? Great review btw! Also, do you run two microphones? One for your sena and one for your camera? Or are you running a blue-tooth mic/backpack thing?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We mount to the chin that way, because we like the angle it gets when shooting. You could use a shorter mount if you so choose. We used a Sena Audio Backpack for the GoPro. -DrewZilla

    would you say that low-rev shifting with the quickshifter is bad for the gearbox?
    I'm confused because in my manual is nothing written about this (just use it over 4000/min) but someone warned me to use it within normal riding...

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      In all honesty, I can't say I have heard one way or another. I can't imagine it is damaging anything, though. Because the QuickShifter is cutting power, it is likely far less tough on the gearbox than say a clutchless upshift. -TeamZilla Chris

    • @rab..
      @rab.. 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the conditions , at low temperatures and in the wet / damp they can be slick but given warm conditions they actually become tacky. It wouldn't present a problem umless it got really hot , then they can become a bit to soft.

      well, it's not a racer (no clip-ons), not a tourer, not a chopper, not a scooter, not an all-terrain.... it's a sportsbike with flat bars, sporty seating position and a nice (retuned) engine; S1000R, Monster, Z1000, Brutale, SDR etc also have 'some' flyscreen or very small fairing... the Tuono just has a bit more plastic on the nose and along the sides; which class would you put it in?

      Not sure if Bucky will be able to respond, but according to what I've read, it holds the revs at about 10K, so if you dump the clutch, the front wheel will lift up a lot. You can pin the throttle, but you might want to be a bit slower letting out the clutch to control the wheelie more. -DrewZilla

      I'm on my first bike (Yamaha MT-07) and considering an upgrade. Do you think a non factory version is a better choice? I'm 50% time in town, 45% on twisties and 5% track..

      The reason I personally think the RR is a better street bike: better seat, dual-seal forks, and lower maintenance on suspension. But that's not up to me, that's up to you.

    Great video RevZilla. Well presented and great to see somebody talk to the overall on the road NOT another racetrack. I'd agree with +giff74 below that having somebody present sports bikes regularly would be a huge benefit for the channel.

    Great review. Did you get your arse set on fire by engine heat? Would you buy this bike or the S1000R. That's the question! Keep up the good work!

      I think Bucky spent so much time hangin' off the bike that he didn't notice whether there were any heat issues! -DrewZilla
