I have a PS five and so does my wife and we both have gaming PCs. Things really haven't changed much since the Nintendo Switch was released. Even the Switch 2 was leaked to only be a performance upgrade, no new innovations.
Well there's that C button under the home button, and I think there was going to be a whole new environment for the OS. It also gets DLSS which is pretty neat.
The ps5 controller haptics and triggers I would say is a big innovation for immersion in games and if you haven't experienced it, boot up Returnal with one

Buy a retro console (Like a DS or Wii) and Homebrew it. This is technical like building a PC and installing drivers also allowing you to experience other games and OSs for these kinds of machines also utilizing the retro ability of the console you buy. For example I always wanted to play Kirby Planet Robobot but I don’t have a DS. You can try Kirby Planet Robobot on stream.
Nintendo switch 2 is coming out very soon, like march or something, so you should try that. The only console where “exclusives” see important. You can ONLY play Nintendo games on their consoles
Wait, do you think 4K is supposed to look good to your eyes? There's a reason 1080p is still considered 'true hd'. We don't even view the real world at a 4K resolution- what you're seeing is digitally altered picture via hardware or software capture and output. Real life doesn't look like an instagram post.
As a consoles guy, who dipped his toe into pc gaming with the ROG Ally, who recently bought a decent monitor, keyboard/mouse, and dock for my ally to get more of the desktop experience, and is now watching your content consistently as I plan my first build….dint bother. New switch will be cool though!
"Many great exclusives" maybe in the PS4 era, now if there an exceptional big title a year it's very lucky. Let me do a list of big titles from the release of ps5: -Demon's souls remake -GoW Ragnarok (no exclusive) -horizon forbidden west -ratchet and clank (no exclusive) -stellar blade -spiderman 2 (no exclusive) -astrobot -silent hill 2 (no exclusive) And of these the only worth considering are probably demon's souls, GoW Ragn, stellar Blade and astrobot, the other ones are mid at best.
My most used console right now is my steam deck oled. Of the PC handhelds it is the most console-like experience. It is good to have at least one console based on your video maybe wait for Nintendo's next offering. Xbox is getting out of the console game but they are trying to be steam but a publicly traded company cannot make the decisions that benefit the consumer.
I’ve been looking to buy a playstation myself eventhough I have a PC and I just don’t see it being worth it. I get you, can play exclusives like Horizon or Spider-Man but that’s the thing, those aren’t exclusives anymore. Since if I can get them on my PC I don’t see a point in spending 500€ or more just to play games early when I can just wait 6-12 months for them to release on PC. This is just my opinion tho and if you don’t like waiting sometimes up to a year to play a new Sony game I can understand that but it’s just not for me
*-* Consoles are plug & play and literally *require 0 effort/hassle* to keep up and running at maximum efficiency, *-* The OS and settings menu is very simple meaning you never need to google old reddit posts to solve _very_ specific problems you may have, (at least on Xbox and PS) *-* It's arguably more convenient to play on a TV while sitting away on a couch with a controller, *-* Extremely PORTABLE I switched to pc half a year ago and don't regret a thing 💙 Edit: and 99.8% of games are specifically optimised for console and run minimum +60fps
@@UM_88-s2c games aren’t build to run on low end PC’s because the tech is so variable while console standardisation means it works on all the supported options (%unless the company doesn’t care and released shit like cyberpunk 2077 PS4)
@ most laptops also have drivers, updates, and bios. Not to mention that if you want a gaming laptop that hits the same performance or better than a console, it’ll drill a hole in your wallet and get you the equivalent of a glorified magma cube.
The best part of consol gaming is that for $250 I got a system that lasted me 8 years and ran vanilla games no issue. No upgrades. And I just got a series x for $350 and I'm likely getting another several years for that price. I prefer my pc for most games, but playing with the kids or starting up basic games consol is so easy and user friendly
Consoles are awesome. Can’t take a pc with me on vacation. Hard to beat the price to performance of the top dogs as well, like the series x. I can sit there and run my console for 5-6 years of hardcore gaming get the same performance the whole time and not have to worry about updates here and there and errors and the bios. Just a much more relaxing experience. But I did just build another pc my new daily, a 9800x3d 4080super in a h9 flow. Beast of a pc. But my consoles is what started my gaming hobby and it wont be going away just bc I have a pc.
@ sounds like you had a crap box pc that’s prebuilt. I build my pcs. Maybe the time and effort put in to the them makes them more valuable to me. Or the fact that I have pcs worth vehicles sitting on my desks
I need advice for picking a GPU for my upcoming build. My choices are a new RX 7700 XT or a used rtx 3080 for a similar price. I am pairing it with a 7700x and a 750w psu and using it for 1440p gaming and content creation. This is also my first full pc build, but I have upgraded pcs before
Yes you should buy one of them and test them also please compare the value of pc to the value of console based on having to pay for online play and etc. Basicaly pros and cons
I dont think most of us is really missing out on much unless you are into some exclusive series, go nuts man gaming is about having fun in the end of the day, I cant really throw shade at that!
Neither of your parts are even that bad, but if I had to make a choice, I'd say upgrade your GPU. You can still get away with a 3600 in a lot of games, but the 1660s is starting to really show its age, ESPECIALLY if you want to go above 1080p.
The PS5 has really unique features, a couple neat exclusives, and works well as a TV media hub, but generally PC is probably better, I just like the convenience. On the other hand, the switch is goated. Between portability and Nintendo exclusives, it’s the only console I would say a PC gamer like you or me MUST buy still Xbox is whatever man
Just get a ps5 and stick with the switch, playing common games on those will give you the best perspective on it. Or wait for the ps6 and switch 2 and try that out, that’s probably your best option
As a console pleb, not a lot has changed other than the SSDs we see in all new consoles now (which is amazing). I play PS5 on a 1440p 144hz monitor, and I always choose performance mode (some games like GT7 even support 120 frames, but I assume that's at 1080, and I'm not certain) and it's obviously not on the level as your builds, but I've learned one thing, I prefer frames over resolution. I have now come to despise the frame dips that come at 30 fps, if it's gonna dip, I'd rather start at 60, not 30. At 30, my console shits the bed the same way your Steelers do every year lmao. Sincerely, a Falcons fan.
Console’s are great to have for couch co-op and for console exclusives like with nintendo and so for now only owning a console should work but having a last gen console and pc also works great, if not better.
Still not much hassle. But we need to download stuff now too... Digital sales are almost as good as steams. Online play is paid but you get free games. Overall still recommendable.
for me i usually gamed on both consoles and PC because of exclusives, but recently most games released on both from xbox and playstation, ill still keep Nintendo consoles around for their games. PC + a switch i feel is a good coverage of games.
I’m going to give you my personal experience as I’ve been a huge Xbox console pleb for most of my(thankfully have upgraded to a pc.) Current Gen console gaming is actually pretty similar with most FPS and RPG games supporting mouse and keyboard, quality presets and in some cases even modding. However, there is still one thing that makes me miss my series X in particular and that’s the optimization, most games I’ve played on it never had a single issue performance wise.
I love my computer, and I use it mainly, but sometimes it’s nice being only to kick on the ps5 and play gta from the comfort of my bed until 3 in the morning. It’s in no way superior but it is extremely convenient.
Just bought a ps5 2 days ago, after 6 years on a ps4, I feel like I've bought a new car after driving the same one for 15 years. It really is amazing, the upgrade is MASSIVE. Also for a pretty casual gamer this is the best option since I already have a work PC.
Zach i have a problem with my pc. It is a system with ryzen 5 7500f and gtx 960 (still waiting for my money so i can get new gpu) and the thing is i had a good time with it like 400-500 fps in valorant around 200fps in Fortnite and smooth gameplay in dark souls 3 before last week when i installed GeForce experience and updated my drivers. Since then i experienced fps drop, huge fps drop especially in valorant, fortnite and ds3. I do not know why is that and what can i do.
0:20 rgb isn't a reason, yeah steam sales exist but keep in mind psn and xbox sales also happen very often, console exclusives are NOT DEAD. exclusives are still gonna come out, like gta 6, it's gonna get ported for pc in like 2 years of time, aesthetics aren't a reason also, and you can get an aesthetic setup with a xbox series x, series s or ps5 also, gta 5 fivem is valid but let's be real not many people play it, actual 4K gaming isn't a reason since consoles can already do native 4k.
All the new gen consoles run 120fps consistently with really good graphics I would have to admit. You could get a used series s for 100 bucks and play in 120fps, honestly pretty good for the money. (PC is better tho)
@@zetahalo i never really use my xbox as I play on pc but when I actually use it i get 120fps in fortnite, rocket league and cod plus basically every game supports 120fps
not much changed in the actual experience, just the specs. in terms of gpu equivalent they're both around that rtx 3060ti/rx 6700 range with the exception of the ps5 pro (which isn't particularly worth getting unless you have a baller tv). the switch is a different story, though it isn't particularly worth getting at the moment when the successor coming within the year is rumored to be similar in specs to a steam deck
notably if i recall correctly the xbox consoles can sideload apps now if you get the little developer pass thing, which makes the series s a really nice emulation box
Depends on what type of preformence you want, for low budget I personally think a r5 7500f is the best option or a r5 7600, both pair well with any 1080p/1440p card and aren't to expensive and you can still upgrade yo better cpus later on.
Quick question: I'm almost in middle school(almost in high school), would the HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fb2020ca(preferably the type with a ryzen 7, 16-32 gb ram, etc) be a good laptop? I currently have an MSI Modern 15 B12M, and it starts going crazy whenever I run any well made game, and it also overheats a lot of times, even when I'm just watching videos(I think that's because of the intel processor lol). For a lot of games(like, Marvel Rivals), because of the intel Iris X3 integrated graphics, I just can't play them. Do you think this one is good in terms of battery life, cooling, gaming, school, and everything else?
The difference from pre 2020 console gaming and new is years ago, consoles have gone down in price over time, this gen they have either stayed at the same launch price or have gone above that. The PS5 digital launched at 399.99 MSRP. But it has been replaced with the PS5 slim and has gone up to 449.99. Granted, it has a 1TB ssd vs the 825GB prior version
I've always been a console player. But recently got a 7800x3d 4080 super PC. Yes PC gives me more options for graphics and better fps. But I've had more issues with games crashing. It's just where your at in life and what you want to deal with.
I've got an Xbox One Halo limited editon console from 2015 with the signature metallic silver and blue livery. Despite still having 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1TB HDD it's still a decent console for games of its time like Forza Horizn 2 (I own an original FH2 10th Anniversary Edition game disk) or even lighter new titles like Minecraft Dungeons or Rocket League, averaging around 80 FPS at 1080p.
A switch is worth having. The exclusives are good and I applaud Nintendo for always innovating. It's great for playing with family and friends. A real party system.
I can’t recall the source, but I heard Sony executives are saying consoles have peaked. The next generation or the one after that will likely be modular and start becoming closer to gaming pc anyway.
Hi Zach, looking to build a 1440p system for around $950, i would want it to be AM5 for future proofing(?) and DDR5 32gb minimum and lastly 2tb, would prefer micro atx build, any recommendations? (would this be possible with all the nit picky parts?, thanks!)
the disc being dead for the pc market is personally the biggest argument to still have a console. digital marketplaces don’t sell you the actual game, just the ability to play it. the disc gives you the game in perpetuity. unless it requires it be played online. also nintendo is kinda the worst about giving zero shits about the preservation of media means there are games that might as well be lost forever
For my content creation, heavy workloads (unreal engine 5) pc I am planing on building an amd ryzen 7900 non x cpu based pc. So Which gpu should i get to full use of hardware with 0 bottlenecks. Or is there any better efficient, reliable and fast cpu for me(i really Don't want to boom my new pc cpu and motherboard).i don't know much pls help(budget = 2 to 3 thousand)
It's been awesome, actually. I use it for gaming and doing really demanding tasks. then to do other necessary stuff like my work. I use my pc that is from 2017.
I have old workstation budget pc and for christmas i got aok monitor i don't remember full model but it 100 hz + but when i try to change hz from 60 tu 100+ theres is no option to change more my dad has bought me GeForce gt 730 and we trying to know is that gpu problem or cable.
Only reason I would see someone get one is easy plug and play no maintenance and cheap for just games. Not the best quality or performance and but good enough to look good 1080p on any game ig.
@UM_88-s2c I've played on a console before, its not that bad. The PS5 actually looks good with some intensive games like Spiderman

Having a good relationship with your comunity means you won't be replaced by ai. Good job. About consoles, they are pretty straight foward, newest means better. Models barelly make any difference because they couldn't even use 100% of the base console so...
Honestly a pro of console is the no hassle but you have to pay for online play unless it's smth like fortnite. Depending how long you have it before you get the next gen (or if you don't) you'll prob end up paying as much as a pc. So it might just be worth it to set up a pc cuz it'd really not that hard and if you really can't you can have someone do it for you
I got a series s refurbished for $200 from Best Buy, and it’s perfect for when I wanna relax on my couch and not sit at my desk playing PC games. I highly recommend.
I have both. Consoles are MUCH more convenient. You can have the most elite set up and still have issues with launching a game, driver issues, Windows being Windows, constant updates, rollbacks, etc My PS5 I turn it on, click which game I want, and I’m done. Yeah PC I can have higher graphics or FPS, but let’s be real, in the modern day of such poor graphics leaps and optimization, the differences are usually somewhat negligible. Frames are a bit harder to argue now too, give that my PS5 can use VRR on my big OLED tv with like a 240hz rate. The biggest benefit is honestly having all my games on Steam in one place, mods (if they’re allowed), general PC use, and emulators.
The xbox series s is actually a really good deal for only $300 you can play pretty much any current gen game that isnt pc exclusive at smooth framerates without worrying about specs or anything. Even though I play on pc I bough one for my brother last week and he loves it. One thing that people dont really talk about when comparing PCs to consoles though is that something about consoles always seem more relaxing.
I'd recomend Xbox series X if you're going to try it out. It's the most like a pc and are capable of running 4k at 120fps. Probably would feel more comfortable if you're used to the Switch button layout. It's also much cheaper than building a pc or even buying a prebuild and it keeps up with mid-teir pc in speed and high-teir in graphics.
consoles (especially xboxes) are better value for a smaller budget if all youre doing is gaming. im curious to see what the switch 2 is like, if its good itll be the first console i consider buying since the ps3.
I’ll explain it, the Xbox series s is the best value because it’s cable of running 1440p at 120hz for 250 to 300 dollars and the Xbox series x and ps5 can also do that but they also have the cabability of reaching 4k 120hz but there aren’t a lot of games that support that just yet and the series x and ps5 are around 500 dollars
Honestly the switch successor is the only thing worth your time. And ONLY if it gets a decent power boost. If the og switch can play the next pokemon gen then there's no point to it existing 🤷♂️ imo
Basically buy a console if you don’t want to waste money on a sim racing setup or to game. I literally connect my M&K and play games as if it’s a pc, most games support these. Also they have good subscriptions (ps plus and game pass) that give you games such as GTA 5, it takes two, hello neighbor and more stuff monthly, such as The Crew 2, F1 23, Skywalker Saga, etc. I am talking about ps plus, because I never had an Xbox. Just the controller layout feels weird if it’s not the Playstation layout.
Consoles are made for gaming, they can perform really well and you have to notice that most consoles are cheap and if you are in a budget, a console can perform better than a pc for the price. I have a console (Xbox x ) and pc and I use both.
I think it depends on what console you're moving on, if you're from PS3 and decide to go to PS5 then yes, the change will be absolutely gigantic, if you're from PS4 the real change will be the 60 fps and the "4k" resolution. The thing that i've seen is that the controllers are in terms of durability, much worse, and i mean REALLY bad, i had the controller that came with the PS5 and in less than a year it already has stick drift...
These are all the things that have happened since then less exclusives/none since they come to pc at some point anyway. less smooth experience couse of the 100gig updates every other day / physical games are basically a download code for the game stuck on a disk and not the actual game. not actually that powerfull, they just use powerfull upscaling, but the raw performance is beat out by a 500$pc. If you biw allow the pc to use upscaling aswell the pc may run better since there are a lot more settings to tweak. in simple terms: console 4k does not equal pc 4k and the raw power of a console is much less then expected. For diffrent versions there arnt that many diffrences to the base models. the ps5 slim is, well, a slimmer ps5 and the ps5 pro a 700$ useless upgrade that could run games at 8k but has no games that support that resolution, is a digital only console that requires a disk drive to be bought seperatly for phisical games to be playable, and more base storage although you could just expand the storage of the original ps5. for team green (no not that one) there is the an xbox refresh that is just the same thing but digital and with more storage, so nothing important. all in all: less smooth experience aka the one thing that consoles are supposed to do better then pcs, having more gaphic settings allows even a simmilar priced pc to match or in some games even outperform a console depending on the type of game, the settings you choose, how optemised the game is for the specific console, the resolution and so on. And lastly, diffrent console versions are not really worthy of not and most of them can be ignored. edit: Nintendo kinda just does their own thing, doesnt have their main focus on power. The switch 2 will have performance comparable to a ps4/ps4 pro allthough with specialized upscaling for their actually exclusive games. allthough my bet is that it wont take long for switch 2 games to be able to be easily emulated on pc, same as it was with the switch 1, so its debatable if that counts as an exclusive
I suggest to Use the switch to play exclusives, there are some of the best games of all time. i highly recommand zelda breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom, mario odissey, xenoblade chronicles 2, 3, bayonetta, pikmin, Kirby, metroid and mario wonder, i could keep up, switch has incredibly good exclusives, and in my opinion breath of the wild is the best game of all time
Get a new PS5 to play GTA VI soon. PS5 Pro will offer higher performance in any game, but it's a bit more expensive. I would not recommend Xbox because PlayStation offers some nice features like full haptic controllers and higher build quality.
About the reason to get a console would be for Spider-Man 2. But only for Play Station (not pro - not worth it) and that's only relevant for like another month lol.
@evanegerhazi7517 i need a power upgrade, i have a good egnouth monitor for now, i play in 1080p because i have lots of old consoles too, have you got any ideas for better upgrades, i was going to sell my old parts and upgrade so this would not cost me too much as i only have £80.

For example I always wanted to play Kirby Planet Robobot but I don’t have a DS. You can try Kirby Planet Robobot on stream.

what does 2 4 pins for a cpu do?

Nintendo switch 2 is coming out very soon, like march or something, so you should try that. The only console where “exclusives” see important. You can ONLY play Nintendo games on their consoles
"ONLY" The dark side of the force is a path to many abilities, some consider to be unnatural.

Honestly, 1080p with max settings on pc looks better than console "4k".
F r
Wait, do you think 4K is supposed to look good to your eyes? There's a reason 1080p is still considered 'true hd'. We don't even view the real world at a 4K resolution- what you're seeing is digitally altered picture via hardware or software capture and output. Real life doesn't look like an instagram post.

The Guy above me is absolutely right
The guy above me is absolutely correct about the other guy above me about the guy above him
Quick resume on xbox is a great feature for offline games.
Xbox: every game is on PC
PS5: many great exclusives, but very expensive
Switch: amazing console for casual gaming, you should use it more.
the series s is at least the cheapest way to play current gen games fully
With 40 fps...@@AtomicEmperor
Switch exclusives are expensive too and they basically never go on sale
"Many great exclusives" maybe in the PS4 era, now if there an exceptional big title a year it's very lucky.
Let me do a list of big titles from the release of ps5:
-Demon's souls remake
-GoW Ragnarok (no exclusive)
-horizon forbidden west
-ratchet and clank (no exclusive)
-stellar blade
-spiderman 2 (no exclusive)
-astrobot
-silent hill 2 (no exclusive)
And of these the only worth considering are probably demon's souls, GoW Ragn, stellar Blade and astrobot, the other ones are mid at best.
Most of the PS exclusives worth playing end up releasing on PC anyways too 😂😂
Yes it has changed. They now run fps close to what some budget pc builds do, they can play at 4k and are a heck of a lot cheaper then most pcs
How well does the 3090 perform in ultrawide 1440p?
(3440x1440)
Good
@ is that all? Like do u have some data about it?
@ I know it will sound nerdy but idk wether to but ultra wide or 16:9
@@ArchieAshford go 16:9, if you are asking the question, than it should probably be 16:9
@ it’s a 3090 tho I can’t figure out wether ultrawide will run well with some semi-demanding games
Unlike the ps4 the ps5 is still very good compared to a similar priced pc in terms of performance.
Do you factor in the cost of plus and the higher price spent on games?
@@manwithoutmercyThat’s if you only buy digital.Lots of games you can get for cheap used physically. But I see what you mean
Why are you comparing PC with a similar price ?
I’ve been looking to buy a playstation myself eventhough I have a PC and I just don’t see it being worth it. I get you, can play exclusives like Horizon or Spider-Man but that’s the thing, those aren’t exclusives anymore. Since if I can get them on my PC I don’t see a point in spending 500€ or more just to play games early when I can just wait 6-12 months for them to release on PC. This is just my opinion tho and if you don’t like waiting sometimes up to a year to play a new Sony game I can understand that but it’s just not for me

What is the difference between a cheaper and a more expensive ssd?
*-* Consoles are plug & play and literally *require 0 effort/hassle* to keep up and running at maximum efficiency,
*-* The OS and settings menu is very simple meaning you never need to google old reddit posts to solve _very_ specific problems you may have, (at least on Xbox and PS)
*-* It's arguably more convenient to play on a TV while sitting away on a couch with a controller,
*-* Extremely PORTABLE
I switched to pc half a year ago and don't regret a thing 💙
Edit: and 99.8% of games are specifically optimised for console and run minimum +60fps
Only require a power cable and HDMI to set up and a USBC to connect controllers if that
Hardware wise I agree. Microsoft account shenanigans can be annoying af tho.
Can't all the same stuff be said for a laptop also ?
I just built a PC with a 9 9900x and a 4080 super and I play primarily on a series X and I agree 100%
"Can't take a pc with me on vacation."
Sounds like a huge lack of effort to me. But then again, I grew up in LAN party with CRT monitor days.
@ yeah I’m not taking my $4000+ computers with me anywhere. Traveling with computers is for 15 years ago. Not by today’s standard.
@ sounds like you had a crap box pc that’s prebuilt. I build my pcs. Maybe the time and effort put in to the them makes them more valuable to me. Or the fact that I have pcs worth vehicles sitting on my desks
There’s no price to performance when consoles make you pay for online and have more expensive games and controllers,
I need advice for picking a GPU for my upcoming build. My choices are a new RX 7700 XT or a used rtx 3080 for a similar price. I am pairing it with a 7700x and a 750w psu and using it for 1440p gaming and content creation. This is also my first full pc build, but I have upgraded pcs before
If for conten get the rtx 3080 because its nvidia and its a bit faster
Yes you should buy one of them and test them also please compare the value of pc to the value of console based on having to pay for online play and etc. Basicaly pros and cons
I dont think most of us is really missing out on much
unless you are into some exclusive series, go nuts man
gaming is about having fun in the end of the day, I cant really throw shade at that!
1st comment means I am built different
What should I upgrade first: I have a gtx 1660 super and a Ryzen 5 3600
if you can afford it, just buy a new pc.
@@letsgoplayzz bro i have a good case, storage, psu, and ram
Neither of your parts are even that bad, but if I had to make a choice, I'd say upgrade your GPU. You can still get away with a 3600 in a lot of games, but the 1660s is starting to really show its age, ESPECIALLY if you want to go above 1080p.
@raidingrealrx 7900GRe
Ryzen 7 5700x3d
You should get a ps5 and plug you mouse and keyboard into it and see if it is any better than a pc.
The PS5 has really unique features, a couple neat exclusives, and works well as a TV media hub, but generally PC is probably better, I just like the convenience.
On the other hand, the switch is goated. Between portability and Nintendo exclusives, it’s the only console I would say a PC gamer like you or me MUST buy still
Xbox is whatever man
Just get a ps5 and stick with the switch, playing common games on those will give you the best perspective on it.
Pc probably has more local co-op games than any console
@@manwithoutmercydamn really, I never knew, thanks
Whats the absolute best pc you can possibly get regardless of price
love the Christmas hoodie!
Just bought a ps5 2 days ago, after 6 years on a ps4, I feel like I've bought a new car after driving the same one for 15 years. It really is amazing, the upgrade is MASSIVE. Also for a pretty casual gamer this is the best option since I already have a work PC.
Quick question, Whats a good monitor to use vertically and a good dual monitor stand?
Zach i have a problem with my pc. It is a system with ryzen 5 7500f and gtx 960 (still waiting for my money so i can get new gpu) and the thing is i had a good time with it like 400-500 fps in valorant around 200fps in Fortnite and smooth gameplay in dark souls 3 before last week when i installed GeForce experience and updated my drivers. Since then i experienced fps drop, huge fps drop especially in valorant, fortnite and ds3. I do not know why is that and what can i do.
It's because of the app, check settings of the app and turn everything that's unnecessary
The last 10 years nothing has really changed
All the new gen consoles run 120fps consistently with really good graphics I would have to admit. You could get a used series s for 100 bucks and play in 120fps, honestly pretty good for the money. (PC is better tho)
Can you actually get a series s for 100 bucks ?
@ Yeah I saw one on facebook marketplace listed for 100 gbp. But it didnt have a controller
What games run 120 and what dont out of what you play
If you’re silly enough to believe all games run at 120 consistently then stick with consoles because you clearly can’t tell the difference
Nah you ain't missing out on much. PC with Nintendo Switch is a great combo. Getting steam sales and Nintendo exclusives, cant go wrong with that.
Zach what would you recommend for a dual 3d rendering pc setup that can also game. Under 3000$ with monitors (5)
should i get am5 or am4 socket if i'm on a budget? im going to get ryzen 5 5600x if am4 is better
Depends on what type of preformence you want, for low budget I personally think a r5 7500f is the best option or a r5 7600, both pair well with any 1080p/1440p card and aren't to expensive and you can still upgrade yo better cpus later on.
@EchoTheGamer870 thx

Current gen is a huge compliment for the switch bro
A switch is worth having. The exclusives are good and I applaud Nintendo for always innovating. It's great for playing with family and friends. A real party system.
what do you recommend for a pc build with my budget being $1000 which is all I have save up for a while
I am still running my Quadro K2000. And planning to jump to a 4060 ti or a 4070 ti.
I can’t recall the source, but I heard Sony executives are saying consoles have peaked. The next generation or the one after that will likely be modular and start becoming closer to gaming pc anyway.
I try to follow you on other platforms but I’m too old to be getting on all these other platforms 🤣🤣🤣 it’s funny but TRUE. 🙏
Hi Zach, looking to build a 1440p system for around $950, i would want it to be AM5 for future proofing(?) and DDR5 32gb minimum and lastly 2tb, would prefer micro atx build, any recommendations? (would this be possible with all the nit picky parts?, thanks!)
Or just anyone lol
Idk maybe 7600x, 7800xt combo
I still keep my 360 around for some games, having games on disks is pretty nice. Idk if id buy the newer consoles though
the disc being dead for the pc market is personally the biggest argument to still have a console.
digital marketplaces don’t sell you the actual game, just the ability to play it. the disc gives you the game in perpetuity. unless it requires it be played online.
also nintendo is kinda the worst about giving zero shits about the preservation of media means there are games that might as well be lost forever
Blurry 1080p performance mode
@UM_88-s2c I've played on a console before, its not that bad. The PS5 actually looks good with some intensive games like Spiderman
Having a good relationship with your comunity means you won't be replaced by ai. Good job. About consoles, they are pretty straight foward, newest means better. Models barelly make any difference because they couldn't even use 100% of the base console so...
The only console you should consider is the probably upcoming switch 2 for the exclusives
Honestly a pro of console is the no hassle but you have to pay for online play unless it's smth like fortnite. Depending how long you have it before you get the next gen (or if you don't) you'll prob end up paying as much as a pc. So it might just be worth it to set up a pc cuz it'd really not that hard and if you really can't you can have someone do it for you
this... unless its a tv
It would be a nice thing to do to broaden your field of what you talk about
I got a series s refurbished for $200 from Best Buy, and it’s perfect for when I wanna relax on my couch and not sit at my desk playing PC games. I highly recommend.
hey is a intel 4090 good?
Yes
I have both. Consoles are MUCH more convenient. You can have the most elite set up and still have issues with launching a game, driver issues, Windows being Windows, constant updates, rollbacks, etc
My PS5 I turn it on, click which game I want, and I’m done.
What is the best gpu to pair with a 5700x3d?
Not knowing the budget hurts
I'd go with Rx 7800xt/7900GRE or RTX 4070S
Upgrade that mid cpu first
Physical games are literally the only reason I play on consoles
I’ll explain it, the Xbox series s is the best value because it’s cable of running 1440p at 120hz for 250 to 300 dollars and the Xbox series x and ps5 can also do that but they also have the cabability of reaching 4k 120hz but there aren’t a lot of games that support that just yet and the series x and ps5 are around 500 dollars
Would you take all my pc inventory for an rtx 4090?
Double it and give to the next person
Hey got any ideas for an $800 1080P pc for Fortnite at 240fps I’m thinking of a I5 12400F and a RX 6600 but I don’t know that much
Get a X3D chip CPU they perform best in multiplayer games
Happy new year 🎆
Honestly the switch successor is the only thing worth your time.
I have a console (Xbox x ) and pc and I use both.
the only reason to get one is if theres some exclusives you want to play
I think it depends on what console you're moving on, if you're from PS3 and decide to go to PS5 then yes, the change will be absolutely gigantic, if you're from PS4 the real change will be the 60 fps and the "4k" resolution.
The thing that i've seen is that the controllers are in terms of durability, much worse, and i mean REALLY bad, i had the controller that came with the PS5 and in less than a year it already has stick drift...
Is the 7700xt and 7 500f a good combo
yes
Yeah I play on console and I would love to see you try it out again after that long of not playing on it
These are all the things that have happened since then
less exclusives/none since they come to pc at some point anyway.
less smooth experience couse of the 100gig updates every other day / physical games are basically a download code for the game stuck on a disk and not the actual game.
not actually that powerfull, they just use powerfull upscaling, but the raw performance is beat out by a 500$pc.
Honestly. Console wise or what would fit I'm much more interested in the steam deck and it's competitors and the docks made for them
I suggest to Use the switch to play exclusives, there are some of the best games of all time. i highly recommand zelda breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom, mario odissey, xenoblade chronicles 2, 3, bayonetta, pikmin, Kirby, metroid and mario wonder, i could keep up, switch has incredibly good exclusives, and in my opinion breath of the wild is the best game of all time
Im glad the ZTT shop doesn't sell consoles, they would just fall under the pc's performance
Get a new PS5 to play GTA VI soon. PS5 Pro will offer higher performance in any game, but it's a bit more expensive.
I would not recommend Xbox because PlayStation offers some nice features like full haptic controllers and higher build quality.
When the nintendo switch 2 releases you gotta make a review
About the reason to get a console would be for Spider-Man 2. But only for Play Station (not pro - not worth it) and that's only relevant for like another month lol.
1000th view!
I have a question, would the ryzen 5 5600 go well with the rtx 3060.
Im upgrading from a ryzen 7 2700x and a rtx 2070
Don't do that, please just for performance. You will 10% difference in performance for the 500$ that you are spending. Consider a better monitor
@evanegerhazi7517 i need a power upgrade, i have a good egnouth monitor for now, i play in 1080p because i have lots of old consoles too, have you got any ideas for better upgrades, i was going to sell my old parts and upgrade so this would not cost me too much as i only have £80.
@KialWright sure if you’re selling your parts, and you find great deals, than go for it, good balance for 1080p gaming
