I loved your review. I have to say one of the very best reviews I have watched. I am really glad your channel came across my recommendations yesterday. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us.
Robin Summers Thank you, Robin, for taking the time to watch my videos and your kind words and feedback. I hope you continue to watch the channel for upcoming videos, and thank you for subscribing!
I highly appreciate your great review, but OMG the pencil going in the wrong direction is driving me crazy LOL. I am going to go check these pencils out. Thank you! I have pencil OCD LOL
+Color My World Lol! I'm so sorry! I knew it was in there at first to demonstrate the color barrel/true color difference, but I forgot and wasn't really even thinking about it. 😆I'll have to remember that next time!
I was laughing and thinking OMG you can't put them away like that. That poor pencil was going to be smelling the other pencils feet all night. OK, well maybe it wasn't that bad. I am not that nuts.
Quality control is awfu!.The metal tin arrived dented, pencils broken, some missing. The set was the 100.This experience has put me off ordering from Amazon after many purchases.Kind regards from the UK
my favorite mediums are colored pencils, while primscolor are certainly great to work with just too $$$ for my pocketbook so I go for lots of mixtures crayolas, strateler, crazy art, etc...thank you for your videos!! Cathie
+Eddie & Catherine Falls Thank you Cathie! I try to keep an open mind with art supplies simply because everyone that subscribes has different needs and different pocketbooks!
Jane, thank you for your review of the Marco Renoir 3100 oil based pencils. I have the 72 count and plan to get the 100 count soon. I’m a novice user of colored pencils, but everything you noted were things that I had discovered as I’ve used them. Would you please do a review of the Marco Renoir 3200 pencils in the black wood casing? I’d like to know what the difference is between the two pencils.
Yes, that inverted pink pencil was driving me nuts too! lol I figured it had to be a color mismatch thing but then u never introduced it lol. Anyway, I also hate the plastic inserts. Every pencil set i have has them, but it is what it is. I'm on a budget right now too, but I'm a "go big or go home" kinda person - Prisma - 72, Poly's - 72, Inktense - 36, Holbein is only the 12 pastel set cuz thats way too expensive right now but HAD TO HAVE the pastel colors......markers: Zig's - 36, Prisma's - 48....paints: Turner gouache - 36, MyArtscape acrylic - 48...pastels: Carbo's - 60, Charvin - 48...and so on and so on. Well, for me those are "big" lol. I have a friggin arsenal of media that I'm DYING to play with but no time :( .....SOOOO I live vicariously thru you and my other inspirational artists :) Thank you for another honest informational demo! ;) and omg what an awesome wrap!! Sry, it's been awhile since i bugged you lmao :P
+Missticdragon Creations ha! You never bug me! I always enjoy your feedback and comments! I have to ask how do you like the Turner Gouache and the Charvin pastels? I've been checking them out on Jerry's and was curious about it, especially the gouache.
Southpaw Creative Arts i havent had a chance to try them yet. The Charvins i just got. i have Spring break coming up so thats when i plan on playing! 👍 i get most my stuff from Jerry's. LOVE that store and $13 for a 48 if Charvins? why not!! And theyre lightfast yet. They are small sticks tho, not what i was expecting but nice.
hi I liked the video, u have shared good information, I wanna buy a 100 set, and I am in dialoma whether I should go for prisma color or Marco..what do u suggest?
+sathwik garishakurthi I would start out with maybe buying a few Prismacolors open stock or a small set, and a set of Marcos if you can afford both. Marcos are oil based and Prismacolors are wax based, so even though both have vibrant colors, they perform differently.
Love your video, can't wait to see more of your reviews. I love the color of the pencil wrap, I'd definitely get one if it could hold 72 pencils! ;-) I always do a color chart so the different colored pencil barrels wouldn't be THAT big of a deal to me (great to bring this up though) - I'd love to give these pencils a try.
+Sarah Colors Official I have an official color chart book thanks to your wonderful video! I think you would enjoy these pencils, and thankfully they are at a good price for the value you get. You are awesome, Sarah! ❤🙌🏽
Great information! I have a few small sets of different colored pencils and I would love to find a brand I can expand as my go to! I had to laugh when you made the comment about your rows getting crooked...I feel your pain. lol
+The Real Mythril I believe they are higher quality than the Raffine line. Raffine dare great for coloring books, but not good for layering. These are great for layering and blending. I feel like these cater more to creating finished works of art.
+Edie Bluntzer I do use small circles and ovals on my finished work :) the swatches were done mostly in straight lines. I now usually do them in gradient format when I make a chart :)
Great review, I like your honesty, Thank you for sharing! I didn't know about this brand before. But I'm not sure if I have to move on, I'm using Faber Castell Art GRIP Aquarelle (The Creative Studio for students). Because the Polychromos Color Pencils are for professional. ... By the way, we are still waiting for (My Studio & Workspace Tour 2017 - Part Two) it was so much fun! :)
+Fouad Al-Zuhair it's all about honesty and thank you for watching! The art grip pencils are actually really good pencils, so even if you're aiming for Polychromos, don't forget about them (+ they're water soluble!) Oh yes, we will get to part two. I have some sprucing up to do downstairs before I film it, but it's coming! You're awesome and thank you for your continued support!
Great review love the pencil's except the pencil's being wrong shade. Would love to be you getting the wrap the watercolor pencil's the big set of pencil's Omg would think it was Christmas if I could afford all of them. I have wanted to try them but never have enough left after pay the bill's. Hopefully one year I can get all of them. Such pretty color's. Can you get the Mona Lisa Mineral spirit's in a store. Amazons price for free shipping is like $49 or something close to that. Really would love to try it if you know if any of the craft store's might carry it sure would appreciate it if you could please let me know. Thank you so much.
+Brenda Snider Hi Brenda! Thank you for watching and yes! You can get the Mona Lisa odorless mineral spirits in the paint aisle of Michael's arts and crafts if you have one near you. Also, Gamsol is basically the same thing, so if you don't have a Michael's near you, you can order Gamsol on Amazon or at a Blick Art Materials store (they usually carry it).
Hello! Thank you for your excellent review of these pencils... I am thinking to buy them. I would like to ask you what is that Mona lisa, that you use to blend your color pencils? Thank you so much!!! :*
Wonderful review. Thank you. Looks like the browns are missing. Correct me if I am wrong. I love the browns for the teddy bears. I just didn't see them on the chart. They look wonderful. New subscriber. :)
+Michelle Lynn's Fine Art Yes, I believe they are, but there's no current lightfast info on the pencil itself. I wish there were lightfast ratings on each of the pencils.
Robert Rebacz Usually. Just depends on the seller. My sister got legit ones a month(?) ago and they worked fine. Just double check to see if the seller is trustworthy and look at the reviews (if any) and see if there's any problems. If not, it's probably fine.
i used this to my drawings in my channel! you can check it if you have time :) i really love these! i agree with the color matching with the casings and i hated it at first but ive got used to it(i have the 100s set where a lot more colors didnt match
Any chance you can do a comparison video of them to Polychromos? They are pretty much the China's Polychromos. Still....there is a high chance this pencils is wax based. Since in China all coloured pencils is sold as oiled based pencils in chinese. Regardless whether they are wax or oil based, even Prismacolor is oiled based to them. And all this Renoirs do have colour names, but its only that they dont print the on the pencils, and you can find the charts online. but most of them in chinese. Took me ages to convert them. And the colours is quite accurate to the case IF you colour them lightly. Also this Pencils do have Open stocks but only for 48 colours which is from their first release.
QC is horrible regarding nearly every pencil company. I get missing colors, colors that don't match the casing, doubled colors, etc. Those people have ONLY ONE JOB. That job is to give us correct pencils.
I loved your review. I have to say one of the very best reviews I have watched. I am really glad your channel came across my recommendations yesterday. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us.

Quality control is awfu!.The metal tin arrived dented, pencils broken, some missing. The set was the 100.This experience has put me off ordering from Amazon after many purchases.Kind regards from the UK
I am using it !!! But the one with black body

Are those watercolours or polycolours because if they are watercolour pencils, can watercolour be oil pencils???

I love your art work! You woman looks amazing
How do they compare to the Marco raffine pencils? What are the big differences?

do you think aliexpress has fake Marco Renoir pencils? I ordered them and I am thanking: if they will break :\

and also, some colors break a lot easily especially the white which is a very important for me as a portrait artist
John Doe Baylon Art I love these too I also have the 100s and I also have the raffine and the Aquarelle Renoir as well. Marco is the best

So if they sponsor the episode, are the reviews then dishonest?
