Me and my mom are having the movie night! We’ve never done it on the stove before but I think this is the best way I’ve ever had popcorn! Thanks so much for all you amazing recipes!
Tried this method albeit with less butter. Tasted amazing! The only sad thing is I find it slightly difficult to eat without butter (as it is pretty unhealthly) as it really enhances the taste. Now I don't need to spend too much on store bought unhealthy popcorn thanks to you!
Thanks Robin! I've always been afraid to do this. I used a glass Pyrex dutch oven, so we can watch. Also, I used butter coconut oil to cook and flavor it. Easy peezy!!!
Finally tried your way robin, and I must admit this the best way I've ever tried cooking popcorn. Thank you for sharing this with us. A big thumbs up from me.
Oooooo yummy!!! I have been doing this for years... I feel like it just tastes better. ♥️ your recipes btw. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Looking forward to more of your delicious recipes.
Hi Anna, glad to hear you have been making your own popcorn! It's so much better, as you know! I'm glad you are enjoying the recipes! Happy New Year to you as well!
Thank you! I use avocado oil. I love popcorn and I think everyone should learn how to do this so they can avoid all the chemicals in microwave popcorn and the nasty GMO corn!
Oh, I gotta try avocado oil! I just posted my video using bacon fat to cook popcorn instead of oil. It's so good and went really well with my "whiskey juice" lol 🥓🍿🥃 Maybe not the healthiest snack but very good for mental health, I would say lol 🤣
Any difference in outcome by adding the melted butter in with the kernels? Wouldn't it be easier to ensure it gets spread around a bit more easily that way? Thanks for the vid
For the fluffiest popcorn: Use a heavy pot and I like canola oil. Get the oil as hot as possible BEFORE adding the kernels. (NEVER add kernels to cold oil) I use med high heat. (The hotter the better) Just be careful not to burn it. Burnt popcorn sucks! Use a vented lid so the steam can escape and not get your popcorn all soggy. I don't shake shit! There's enough shaking going on with each pop of the kernels to keep things moving. I then dump it all in a box, close the top and shake so the small stuff exits out the narrow slits I made in the box. You know, the unpopped kernels and small crap no one wants to eat. I add some Flavacol and maybe some butter, mix it up and dump it into the serving bowl. DONE. I like the box because it's big and each and every popcorn is coated pretty much equally.
Nice that you use a popper that can be used for other kitchen duties. Important tip: get a good quality corn. The store brand corn is the lower quality corn and does not pop as well a better quality corn. I get Orville Reddenbachers. I don't have a PHD in popcorn, but working in theaters as a kid, we did study popcorn a bit. In theaters, if the popper was cold, the first batch is not as llight and fluffy as the second or third batch. We used to think theater popcorn was the cheap stuff because it came in 50 lb. sacks. But that is not true. The truth is theater popcorn is a higher quality corn than the store brands that are available in 1 - 2 lb. bags. Gourmet popcorn is not just a marketing gimmick. Now I need some cracker jacks. Easy to make at home too.Just can't call it cracker jacks do to trade mark rigts. Gotta call it caramel corn and peanuts or something else.
Happy New Year Robin🎉 I use the stove top method also, it’s absolutely the best and like you said...forget about the microwave packages well, I haven’t owned a microwave for 12 years now and I haven’t missed it at all😃. Thanks for the tips, I never used a pot so much larger than the amount I was popping and to salt and butter right in the same pot so there’s room to shake it around, that’s just genius!!! Guess what I’m having for lunch today🤗👍🏼 TFS 💜❌⭕️💜❌⭕️💜❌⭕️
Happy New Year!! No microwave for 12 years! That's impressive. Good for you. I hope you are having more than popcorn for lunch! Thanks for stopping in! It's always great to hear from you! Have a great day.
Rockin Robin Cooks 😆I actually got too hungry at lunch just to have the pop corn so I had left over stew which will also be dinner tonight. The pop corn will be my after dinner snack 😉
I use 2 Tbs Costco's Kirkland Organic Virgin Coconut oil & it gives the popcorn a slight buttery taste without adding butter. I add pepper and salt after putting popped corn in a bowl.
Hola, sweet adorable Robin. Your popcorn looks good. You are a very beautiful lady with a heart of gold, and a very sweet voice. What's your best tip for marinating beef recipes? Have a good day, sweet adorable Robin.
I love the non-GMO and organic but plastic bag and bottle not good. And canola not good for your health. Use olive oil. Rest of video was really good instruction. Thanks.
Litterly everything you eat is a GMO, we cultivated these crops and livestock for thousands of years, can we stop with the whole anti gmo stuff, its completely pointless.
tried today and loved it was a first timer lol 😂😅
would recommend for anyone who doesnt know
took only 10 minutes in total

Little trick I just learned is to pop in a couple teaspoons bacon grease. Yum!
Hi Bob, bacon does have some good flavor so I can see how a little could be good in popcorn. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! I didn’t know how to do this before! 0:02

Avocado oil is a good one to use as it is good with high heat cooking. Making your own popcorn is so easy right? Have a great evening!

You're welcome! Nothing like warm homemade buttery popcorn while watching a good movie. Enjoy!
Hi Robin! I'm your biggest fan!!!
Hi Sam, I appreciate that! Thanks!
Canola oil is not GMO but it's modified from the original poisonous product (for lube oil use in ww2) to make them safe
even then it's still not recommended - has linoleic acid
Thank you so much for this guide
You are welcome Adham!
Watched this with my 3rd grade class before they wrote a how to paragraph. Thanks!

Can one use sugar instead of salt?
🍿 🍿🍿🍿
Hi Ellen, keep rockin it!
hi
How much kernels was that you put in ????
It was about 1/3 cup. You can find all the written recipes below the videos in the description area.
Here in UK. what is GMO?
It stands for genetically modified organisms. www.nongmoproject.org/gmo-facts/
Thanks!
You are welcome! Thanks for stopping in!
Why does my popcorn always have hard pieces in it?
I would try a different brand and see if anything changes.
Caramel Corn recipe needed
Peanuts would be cool
Thank you for the request.
How to make gummy lolly pops😛😛
adds chemicals to nonGMO corn, oil, salt and butter.
Nice l loved💛💛💛💛😘😘😘
That is GMO popcorn tho...
This video was sponsored by NGMO (Non-GMO)
Not a pan, that's a casserole pot...
Is that a non GMO pot? 😂
you are so sweet thanks
Most welcome 😊
....corn can't be non GMO....
No sense in using non gmo ingredients and using a microwave.
After the 4th "non GMO" I had to leave. Everything is GMO.
Tight fitting lid, as she recommended, traps steam and leads to soggy popcorn. Clueless.

I don't think she has any clue what a GMO is. Also all canola is made in canada canola is an acronym of canada and oil... Can-ola

There is no popcorn that is gmo. They are all non-gmo please learn things and quit being consumers that fall for the marketing trick.
