This is the second video I've seen of Peter singing this song with this band, and this is the second time he's gotten the same lyric wrong in his own song. When he sings "I hardly knew you were gone," it's supposed to be "I hardly knew you were there." Hardly knew you were gone doesnt make any sense since the next line is "but then you were gone." Smh
I love Peter Cetera and have been a long time fan for 35 years but this band and back ground volcals have got to go. Im sorry but this is a trainwreck. Cetera can do better with this.
Scott Reasons train wreck? How so? For a man in his 70’s this is pretty damn good. Let’s remember that the original was done 33 years ago. The song has evolved and so has he. His voice still sounds great but we are all entitled to our own opinions. I just don’t happen to agree with yours.
@@michellec-i9415 I agree with you but Im not crititizing Cetera the master. Im talking about the goof balls around him. He diserves better. There has been a surge in 80s performers that have had the blessing of good good back ground vocals and musicians complimenting thier iconic voices and these fellas seam to be shorting Cetara the master here in this performance. Im not happy to see Cetera being undercut like this with band members strumming along. It seems there is no respect towards the MAN who gave us the Glory of love.
@Jennifer Puhl maybe he's selfish because he got tired of being treated like crap and made to feel like less than by the other members of Chicago for most of the 70's. Then when he saved their behinds in the 80s they reacted like jealous pricks. Don't blame him for telling them to stick it!
