This is a simple, but hopefully peaceful and relaxing arrangement I did of one of my favorite tracks from the Final Fantasy IX OST, Crossing Those Hills. I've always found it to be incredibly relaxing and upbeat at the same time, and now it has so much nostalgia for me. Let me know what you think of my arrangement.

I was 9 when I first heard this enchanting melody. I’m 33 now, and this brings back so many memories. Always and forever, a RPG FAN!
Right? Crazy how the time flies. It's like it was only a few years ago that this game came out and I played it for the first time. I was 12, Now I'm 36! Glad the arrangement could help bring back some fond memories.

When I rented the game, my mom bought me Jack n the Box (a fast food chain in Southern California) and it was a rainy day. Whenever I hear this theme, my nostalgia kicks in and I remember that exact morning.
This is bringing tears to my eyes. Just beautiful. I wish I could go back to my childhood and play 7,8, and 9 again for the first time.

extremely strong rumor says they're making a 9 remake. keep those eyes peeled for the greatest classic ff game to be remastered just in time for it's 25th anniversary! i cant wait to play it alongside you! ^_^
@mastermind1089 im always worried about remakes. They often lose the magic of the original. Ff7 remake was amazing and made me feel nostalgic but the changed it a lot and now its in 3 parts lol

My favorite final fantasy. Such an underrated game.
Those kids playing the videogames back then, in a world that was bit more hopeful, with some wonderful people around there at that time. I wish I knew back then, how rare those moments would be and how those people wouldn't be that one day in the future many decades in the future. Ah I wish I could tell newer generations to appreciate their life as they have it now, as time takes it all away, but the memories hopefully stay.

I played this game once again in 2021 and i could not get the same feeling i had when i played it on 2005. Still the memory of childhood when i was playing this game couldn't be replaced.
Let it be memory forever as time flies so fast. Some memories are not to be happened again, they should remain as they are.

I was around 10 years old when I found FF9, now Im almost 30 and have a beautiful daughter and listening to this just makes me wanna take her to the world where FF9 brought me, so nostalgic these memories.
Takes me back to release day. Chilling in my room, I Would have been about 14 years old. Simple times sitting in my room enjoying FF9. Such a great game. 👍

I started with FF8, but fell in love with series with FF6 and FF9, such nostalgic games
I also started on 8, but then played 7, Tactics, and 9 and I was HOOKED. Thanks for listening!
I did not have the chance to play this game in my childhood.. I just had the chance to see my older brother and his friend played this game and it's marvellous!
Now it brings back so much memories and it is just amazing.
That was my childhood experience with FF7, although, I have since played that game a lot, but my fondest memories are still watching my older brother and his friend play it. Anyway, thanks for listening, and I'm glad this could bring back some memories. :)
Today I came to know that soon I'll be a father,
and I can't stop thinking I'll HAVE TO play this Masterpiece along with my son one day.
But until there, I'll always have that beautiful tune playing in my home, wishing for the day we'll catch together all Chocographs, Cards and Ultimate Weapons.
I love that. We should share this amazing story with our kids. They need to know what it was like when games were REALLY good. ;)

This is lovely. Always been my favourite map theme in the series. This is a very nice version of it.

Just above mid 30 here but this is my favourite FF game of all. I loved 7 and 8 but this art style got me into it. I just love the fantasy worlds of old and this reeled me in. The story was what kept me, even after all these years I think its really holding up very well. Im quite interested in the remake although its not on the FF7 level. Which to be honest is a great game now it expands on stuff. I hope they can achieve the magic of the memoria project as for me that was just briljant done.

Nunca fui tão feliz jogando um FINAL FANTASY que nem o IX ..... Ganhei do meu irmão, pro STEAM, lá por 2016, mas nunca conseguia jogar, cabeça a mil... Certo dia, durante a faculdade, nos últimos semestres, voltei a jogar mesmo após perder vários saves na nuvem, como uma forma de descansar a mente, de ficar mais tranquilo, pois o TCC tirava todo o resto da minha energia! E, consegui... Que jornada incrível... Fiz isso quando tinha 32, hoje estou com 39 e ainda choro quando retorno aqui para ouvir essas trilhas!

ooh so nostalgic, i love my childhood just thinking to play 7,8,9,tactics My parents always support me when playing FF game, because it improves my English language skills, anyway I've finished FFIX 9 times. :)
I love that! 7, 8, 9, and Tactics are my favorites. Those were my childhood, and although I'm a native English speaker, I always told my parents it was good for my reading practice because of all of the dialogue. ;)

Wow this music makes my heart flutter….. my younger years had lots of trauma but one thing that pulled me out was FF and RPGs in general. Also FF9 was a fantasy like no other for me. I really hope they remake it …. Please god. If you love FF9 Check out the project memoria that came out they recreated the first part of FF9 to look sorta modern and it’s crazy good

19:22 hey, how did you do that bass? and how did you EQ it? Like, side EQ or something?
To be honest, nothing fancy. I just used the Upright Studio Bass that comes with Logic Pro X, and put it on a low D2. I did turn the volume all the way up on it and turn down the note velocity somewhat low, but the EQ, I didn't touch, and the rest was all default settings. Just worked out. So the answer is sheer dumb luck. :)
oh, perfect, because i'm on Cubase and haven't seen good bass plugins there :D thaknks again for the video and response@@nerdsounds
