This playlist greatly assisted me on my journey to becoming a self-taught programmer. Looking back, I couldn't imagine going through this arduous undertaking without this near-perfect playlist and its therapeutic contents by my side. Thank you, my friend. Self-taught is the way to go. You can shape your knowledge based on what you want to do and not what others think you need to know. Some really advanced IA's are made by people without an universitary degree.

It's 3:35 am and this playlist starting with Mac Anu just flung me so far back in the past. I wasn't trying to feel nostalgic - just trying to find something to listen to in hopes I could rest some. What a melancholy feeling
playing through the originals right now on steam deck with emulation. man, i love the art style and the story and the characters and everything... but the gameplay did not age well. very repetitive, very unforgiving if you die in the middle of a dungeon (thank god for quicksaves lol), and unforgiving if you weren't collecting virus cores all the way up to the last boss (if not, prepare for the grind of your life xD)
I still remember playing the games with my friends when I was in middle school, this made me so happy. Despite loving the series, I never made it to the last game. I struggled with the beginning of 3, where you have to do a dungeon as Kite alone. He got all my extra stat items and was grinded as far as I could in the previous game, but the monsters in the dungeon always killed me before I could even reach them 😣(not many walkthrough forums during that time either) I still pray for Nintendo to bring them to Switch so I can finally redeem myself
The good thing about listening to these songs is that they bring back good memories of when I was younger, for me to know some news about videogames was through magazines or a specific TV program that was very rare. The bad thing is knowing that in the old days, at that time, I was happy and didn't know it HAHAHAHAHA.

I just had the reverse situation. I've enjoyed Ayumi Hamasaki for a long time (don't recall from where initially), but have NEVER played Thousand Arms. Suddenly there's this 16 bit version of a song I know super well and it completely caught me off-guard. Now I'm going to have to play Thousand Arms.

I bought the collectors edition of Arc the Lad 1-3 and I bought 4 when it came out on the PS2. Not a bad game, but I have to say that Arc the Lad 2 was my most favorite. I never managed to beat 3 or 4 though. Maybe some day. To your comment, I was also surprised and very happy to see any of the series added to this list ^_^

Desert Flower from Tales of Symphonia is one of my favorite tracks. That's also the part of the game where it feels like it STARTS in earnest. You have a full party, you're on your way to the first real temple, and of course... the DESIANS get up to their SHENANIGANS. Damn now I want to replay it again.
