I think a lot of people under this comment don’t understand the privilege they have. Colombia is a hard country to live and grow up in when you’re poor. The education is minimal or privatized leaving a lot of people unable to move from the spot they’re born in. Her past isn’t her fault. Living there, you’re in a situation where you have to make the decision that will allow you to survive. Cops are corrupt. Drugs and death are all over the place. hey, slice, i have a friend who wears two pairs of glasses, and the reason why she wears them is that she experiences night blindness, which is a condition whereas it's impossible to see in relatively low light maybe the lady experiences it too?
It could also be normal everyday glasses and cheap reading glasses. Seems to me that she's looking at customers through the normal ones, but looks down through the reading glasses, for the register. I know several people who don't want to buy those expensive combination glasses who wear two pairs like that

It could also be normal everyday glasses and cheap reading glasses. Seems to me that she's looking at customers through the normal ones, but looks down through the reading glasses, for the register. I know several people who don't want to buy those expensive combination glasses who wear two pairs like that

The two pairs of glasses on the lady serving at the counter serve the same purposes as varifocal's. The ones nearest to her are normal every day glasses ( I presume she is long sighted) and the second pair are for reading close up. Older people are unable to focus on small text.

The pair of glasses properly on her face is for distance. The second pair is for reading. I don’t know why she doesn’t have bifocals.
Maybe her bifocals broke and she’s making due with her glasses for distance. And got a cheap pair of eye glasses at CVS Or some crap until she receives her bifocals.

The character in the toy store, mama Murphy, her glasses are her own special bifocals. It was probably cheaper for her to do it that way than buy new glasses or it may just make it easier for her vision because she is both near and far sighted. Hope that helps.
