Please understand that this AccuRC RC flight simulator like other RC flight simulators (neXt, Phoenix, RealFlight, Heli-X, AeroFly 5, RC7, etc.) is not a video game, and was not developed with video gamers in mind. The purpose of this and other RC flight simulators is to be used by radio control hobby enthusiasts with the intention of improving RC flight skills in the privacy of the home to then be applied to real life at the flying field.
The first 70 seconds of the video did a very good job explaining the general purpose of RC flight simulators to allow RC pilots to practice maneuvers at home before applying to real RC models.

I'm not a huge RC hobbyist (although I was somewhat into it when I was younger), so I reviewed AccuRC2 on the basis of my personal experience with the few RC vehicles that I've owned and other simulators that I've played over the years. If anything, I'm far more in tune with traditional flight simulators. Looking at it from that point, I can definitely see why you as an RC enthusiast would be displeased with what I said. In any case, I was only giving my humble opinion on the software (calling it that since you took a swing at me for referring to it as a "game"). I detailed my past experiences with the genre as well as the equipment I used just so all viewers could understand where I'm coming from.
You're not the first to take a knock at me for not having used an RC transmitter. While I can appreciate why using one allows for the optimum experience, as I mentioned in the review it would have been nice if there were better accommodations made for the other control options since the software allows for these other inputs to be used. If using an RC transmitter was so important, then perhaps the developers should have made it mandatory, at least? Since I've tried out other RC simulators which have far better support for different control options, I felt it was necessary to bring it up with AccuRC2. I can compare it to that of traditional flight simulators; using a joystick or flight yolk offers the best experience, but there are folks out there who also fly with gamepads and even a keyboard and mouse despite them not being the best choices. Yet, simulators like the Microsoft Flight Simulator series (and now Dovetail's Flight Sim World) have adequate support for these alternative inputs. My point is, with the PC gaming landscape being so diverse, the developers should have taken into consideration that not everyone would be using an RC transmitter, even if that's the best option.
In any case, thank you for taking the time out to share your opinion on my review. I do appreciate the fact that you went into details and explained your viewpoint to such a degree. This is a very rare sight!

Please, accept my apology for my original unnecessarily harsh critique. I edited my comments to be more educational to anyone interested in purchasing this product.
This is mean to be a simulator man, hence the reason why they want you to use a RC Transmitter. I personally do not understand how you can give a review on a "RC Simulator" and you don't even own an rc transmitter. I hope that the developers of any RC simulator do not add support for game pads and such. There is no point for it due to it being again a RC SIMULATOR. Your review is biased and horrible.
If you didn't like the review, then that's too bad. It's just an opinion, mate.
The developers added gamepad support, but did so in a way that I thought was poor. Here's the way I see it: If they REALLY wanted people to use an R/C Transmitter, then they should've made it mandatory. Even flight simulators don't force players to use joysticks or yolks despite them being the best way to play. But anyway, like I said, it was just my opinion: that applies to every single review out there. But it must be noted that I didn't even give the game a low score, though.
Gamepad support should be native so people can at least try before buying and provide decent demo/trial versions. Limiting your customer base is kind of a bad business model.
You do realize that not everyone plays these sims to get better irl right? Some people just want to play it and have no intention to go and buy an RC.

Maybe I want to figure out if RC flying is something I might like and I want to do it risk-free without investing in expensive hardware first? Our maybe I just can't afford any real hardware, but still want to get into it. Game controller support is excellent for that. Yeah, it's not gona be the real thing, but how is this anyone else's problem?
A decent review even though you didn't get the full experience, at one point you stated you didn't see the difference between a game controller and an rc controller, a lot of rc set up is done in the controller program you can set different values on all your control surfaces and add expo and throttle curves and many other adjustments, the controller alone is a big part of getting your rc to control and act like you want it to, thanks for the review I was looking into getting this so it was helpful

i actually have a transmitter. and collective pitch helicopters of various sizes.
and this video convinced me to buy accurc2
and they actually charge a video game price. rather then real flight and their monopoly based overinflated prices. and having to rebuy the whole thing if they come up with a new version.
I´ve tested the demo version in steam in virtual reality and it rocks! I feel the same sensations as in the playfield with my Align Trex600e pro .

IT IS NOT A GAME. but you are comparing it to a game and calling it gameplay experience. it's like comparing coffe to other types of paint that you like better.

You have completely missed the point. This is not a game, it's an excellent RC flight simulator. Sorry but it makes your review misleading and useless and I'd recommend you just delete it.
There's no reason to delete it. In case you didn't realize, reviews are just formal opinions. My thoughts on the game were from MY OWN GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE, not from the perspective of someone else. I never said it was a bad program, just that I've played others that I enjoyed more.

Most of the people downloading and playing these sims aren't RC enthusiasts so his opinion is actually more relevant if that is the target audience.
I recommend a sim controller because without it you can not flip switchs or adjust mid flight

Stumbled on this while looking for Accurc update video's. High again to you Ade, been away from Accurc for about 6 months because of PC issues, performance, now got a nice i7700, 1080 gtx 16gb mem and Win 10 and it's just running much better now. Can you please advise, is it best to use the beta on steam? or the normal version, and also whats best way to contact you. I lost all my info from previous PC. Sim looks, runs amazing now and the Interlink Elite works fantastic BIG BIG thumbs up to all of you @ Accurc. Hope you see this message

Your favorite vehicle is a POS high-wing trainer plane? Really? If you don't own a transmitter then obviously you don't fly...AT ALL. You should consider pulling this "review" to avoid further embarrassing yourself.

This program is garbage and doesn't work properly and to get any help. Well that was none existent.
This has not been my experience at all, I have been using accurc2 since the Alpha version and found there support excellent.
Sounds like user error.
