I purchased this holster and have been wearing it for two weeks now. I have several holsters and this is my favorite. This includes my IWB holsters which are a leather, a hybrid and a full kydex. I like this one because you can conceal this if you want but it is the best OWB in my opinion. The locking mechanism works perfectly and is right where you need it when you need to draw. I wear this without a belt and it holds perfectly as well. My state is open carry so this works perfectly for me even though I usually cover it with my shirt.
Anyone who says someone could rip this off of you doesn’t know what they are talking about. I just purchased one of these for my Sig Sauer P365, and I didn’t notice the little claw tab that you pointed out here, and I couldn’t take that holster off my belt to save my life. It wasn’t until I noticed the claw that I realized you have to push down, out and then up to get it off. This holster is very secure on your waist.
I’ve had this holster for about a year or so. I bought the mid ride belt loop, because I don’t like having any of the weight of my pistol above my waistband when I’m open carrying. It’s 10/10. It’s the best holster I’ve used on a daily basis that isn’t a full sized duty holster.
With cheap trash paddle holsters I can totally understand the argument against the structural Integrity, but I cannot see that being the case with a Safariland. I carry my full size XDM40 in a Safariland 6378. I'm a mechanic and the holster sees rigorous use everyday. This video made me think to inspect mine and I don't see any problems or flaws at all. The SafariSeven suede material they use is top quality as well. Mine has held up very well. In my opinion they are the top holster company on the market
I don't disagree with anything you've said. I have a few Safariland duty holsters and they are second to none. And nothing may be wrong with this one either. I'm still going to be skeptical about so few points where the paddle is attached. Just seems like the weakest point.
578 safariland that has trigger guard catch your middle finger presses on it to release when you draw ,paddle holster for my glock 17 also fits my glock 48 and 41 , sorry about description only #s I could find on back of holster.
Hey brother, check out the Nub Mod from Oregon Trail Defense. I have one on all my safarilands. I don’t have big hands but it sure does help on that tiny 43
Looked into those but found that if I just stipple that top of the thumb release was more than sufficient just be cognizant of how it rides on ur specific body if u got a some extra handles I suppose the stipple will pronounce that friction obv👌☮️
Will the belt clip fit on a standard 5.11 nylon duty belt. I'm carrying a Glock 48 and I want to use it as my duty firearm as well as my carry gun. If it doesn't fit I'm going to need to buy a new firearm.
I have no idea. I'm guessing it might, but you'd have to compare the specs of the holster and the size of the belt. With that said, you can take the paddle off and put on the high/mid/low ride UBL, and those do in fact fit duty belts.
I just talked to safariland and G-code this week. Im wanting this holster for a 43x with trijicon red dot and TLR-7. There working on it. Probably won't be available till next year.

Can this be used for concealed carry? I’m tired of having a drawer full of holsters that just don’t work well for a owb hip holster for concealment.
It's honestly a little chunky for OWB concealment. With an overshirt or jacket..probably. But even a loose tshirt wouldn't likely work well.
