The spacer goes on the back side of the belt loop plate correct ? You put it on the front . Or else the plate is super tight against the holster and you can barely get a belt through
@davidnulf1791 Yes, of course the spacer goes on the back (gun) side of the plate. Its whole purpose is to create space to feed the belt through the slots. If you mount it on the hip side as show in the video, its purpose is defeated. Great video otherwise.
@@93henfan No, that's not correct. There are recesses in it for the screw heads. Your belt doesn't go between the plate and the holster. Your belt goes toward your body in the front loop, between the plate and your body, then away from your body and out the back loop. That plate is more rigid than the plate material, it's there to keep that part from flexing as much, and screws tearing through the softer material.
Good question! So usually departments have a policy for what can be used on duty. Here is a similar holster to the 7378 that is designed more for duty: www.copquest.com/safariland-7ts-7390-als-level-i-mid-ride-duty-holster_23-1480.htm
So the included belt loop and paddle go up to belts that are 1.75" wide. If you need bigger, there are other compatible adaptors that you can easily switch out. This video may help: th-cam.com/video/1w8lFlQFAsU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=myhHKfF2JZBdTmys
I just put mine on my battle belt, so probably? Depends on your belt. It comes with a belt loop panel that replaces the paddle that fits 1.5" belts, and has these little tabs you can knock out to fit a 1.75" belt like mine. Mine is one of the double thick with molle and velcro, so like 4 layers of material thick. It BARELY fits it, but it does. You can see those tabs I'm talking about at about 38 seconds, in the bottom of the loop parts.
Safariland does, it’s called the model 7378RDS. Check them out on our website, and pick one up for yourself; copquest.com/safariland-7ts-7378rds-als-concealment-holster-paddle_23-1705.htm
All the reviews I watched and none of them were as informative as this, thank you! Used this to properly set up my 578
Appreciate the watch! I'm glad it was helpful.
Great video. Thank you. I’ll setup my 7378 tomorrow!
Awesome!
This was great! I had a 567 model and it was the same. Thanks for posting!
Awesome! Thanks for the watch and comment!
Fantastic! Idk why Safariland doesn’t include these in the manual with every holster
Appreciate the view and the comment. Glad we could help!
Exactly the information I was searching for. Thank you!
Glad we could help! Appreciate the watch and the comment!
This was super helpful. None of this was in the manual 😢
Appreciate the view and the comment. Glad we could help!
Exactly! Why don't they put simple information in the manual like what direction to install the belt loop plate?
The spacer goes on the back side of the belt loop plate correct ? You put it on the front . Or else the plate is super tight against the holster and you can barely get a belt through
Appreciate the watch and the comment! So however we demonstrated in the video is the proper way to put on the spacer

Can you turn this into a duty holster?
This holster has the same 3-hole T-pattern as other Safariland holsters, so if you wanted to mount it onto a 6070UBL you could.
Is that setup compatible with the QLS?
Good question! Yeah, when everything is removed and the t-pattern on the holster is exposed you can add a QLS fork instead of the paddle or belt loop.
cool ty
you think the company would do this Vid
Does the Allen key come with the holster? If not what size is it?
Yeah the Allen key comes with the holster so you should be good to go!
With the paddle setup, there is no need to wear a belt to use the holster?
No you don't have to wear a belt with the paddle, but for a more secure fit it is recommended to still wear one.
Can I use the same holster for duty use

Can you put this on a battle belt or only normal belt?

anytime!
Nice video! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Is that setup compatible with the QLS?
They need to make them to accommodate RMR
