    Preventative maintenance is always cheaper than a repair. Especially when it comes to German cars. Just ordered a filter and a new airline manfold/module for my E550 sedan. Thanks for the video, it was enjoyable.

    Never heard of that kind of filter for my E550 lol. Even it's for fuel and used for air ... weird. Well, but when it's doing it's job, I think it gonna be alright. Thanks for the information which even MB-Dealers don't know 👍

    • @MB212
      @MB212  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya is kinda weird when is not even a air filter to begin with. Is not in any service documents whatsoever but i still think is good to check it after the car getting older, because if the filter would have been dirty and clogged it would have tell something is bad and system is about to brake down soon.

      You obviously don’t drive a German car with air suspension (I have a w211 E550 4matic) and understand how eliminating small points of failure go a long way to the longevity of the overall system. What difference does $10 filter/hose make when the replacement compressor is $700 or a single MB air strut is $1500 each. Well made and informative video!

    What is the name of the air pump kit? Does the kit include air filter? Also why don't you get a habit to apply silicone grease on all the hoses you install, new or old. This will keep the rubber alive and significantly prolong its life.

    I cannot believe that you repair your car yourself, have a good garage but don't have a pit. Hire yourself a digger for a couple of days and make a pit. Or if you have more money, install the raisers, if the garage height allows. I don't have garage, but I have a pit outside my house. You cannot believe how helpfull it is.
