    Great review Shawn. I currently have a Fanatec DD1 and I must say, you really don't need over 10Nm, let alone 8 so this ins right on the sweet spot. With Fanatec really not delivering on the after sales and parts side, let alone the poor reliability issues, I'm looking to move to a new brand like this, so it's great to see.

      @@DeltaInsanity I did! I bought the R9 to pair with the NLR Gt-Lite foldable cockpit. It held up fine but ultimately I decided to upgrade to the Sim-Lab GT1 Evo aluminum rig. The GT-Lite with the R9 was miles ahead of my old logitech g920. My biggest complaint is that the R9 would shake the whole rig and make some unpleasant noises. My other problem is that the R9 + TLCM pedals made moving the rig impractical. It got pretty heavy and difficult to move around by myself.

      @DeltaInsanity ปีที่แล้ว

      @@erichemphill2834 you were basically in the same situation I'm in, I've currently got the G29 on a GT Lite. When you mention the noises, were you afraid it would damage the rig, or is it just unpleasant? When I sim race I use IEMs and barely hear anything over the game sounds. And my sim rig is stationary, I just can't afford to upgrade both my wheel and rig at the same time, I'm looking to just get the R9. Do you think the GT Lite would be adequate for the R9 and some entry level LC pedals in my circumstances?

    22:16 I'm looking at the full screen size of the FBB Effect Equalizer. Oh! I get it now. That's smart! I see how this works. Back around 11:18 was when you first showed this feature. The screen of it was too small for me recognize what it was. Now that I see it better. You are right! "It is not directly tied into the game." You said "noise". There you go. It's using the sounds from the sensors. Very smart!
    In short. FBB is an audio equalizer. Functions just like the one you use with your high end stereo. The prof are the frequency scale at the bottom and amplitude on the side. (The labels at the top indicate the sound/frequency range for that function. I'm sure it is a general average reference.) It listens to the sounds from the car. Changes the output based on your settings and feeds that info into the system control.

    For me the price of the wheel is a non-problem. Because you will pay a lot, but you get also a premium wheel that you will never change. For example I play a lot ACC and the Formula-rim is just perfect. High-quality builted and you will not need another formula rim again. Anyway a more affordable rim would be good for them, because a lot of people is asking for that. And because, evidently, not everybody is enthusiast as me. Anyway any rim they will make, according to me, will not be cheaper than 200 dollars-euros.

What happens when something goes wrong and I need to send my product in for service? Looking on their web site, it states "consumers are responsible for the shipping costs when sending their product(s) back if the permission is granted".

      @@benllewellyn1888 Propably, but there is no experience with it. Also i highly doubt that Moza will keep the current price tag. I´m primarily doing combat flight simming and i have seen this before in the Joystick section. Thrustmaster was the standard for decades until Virpil came up with their full metal (housing and gimbal) joystick base as well as their excellent throttle. In the beginning, a complete Virpil HOTAS was just slightly more expensive than the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS while beeing way superior to the TM peripherals. With increasing popularity among the flight sim community over the years, prices raised constantly while availability decreased. A year ago or so, the space sim community started to discover this manufactor as well and prices increased even more. Today, if you want to get a Virpil HOTAS you paying almost double the price than for a TM Warthog HOTAS and the Virpil shop is constantly out of stock. The point is, Virpil was far superior to TM in absolutely every aspect plus has the same connector so you can use TM grips on the Virpil base as well. Wich is why a lot of people replaced their TM base for a Virpil as they didn´t need to get a new grip since both ecosystems are compatible to each other. The difference between Moza and Fanatec is marginal (better QR, but thats it) and both ecosystems aren´t compatible to each other. It´s great to see another manufactor on the market, as competition can only be good for us consumers. But i personally would not purchase peripherals from a manufactor that has not proven long term durability for at least 2 or 3 years AFTER the warranty is expired. Especially if that new manufactor does provide only marginal improvements. Too much of a risk imo, but i respect those who take the risk so the rest of us can benefit from their experience.

      @@r4dio4ctiv3man9 Moza's Next task is actually lowering the prices not increasing them. I agree with the experience etc but by your philosophy on purchasing there would never be any new brands. At one stage Fanatec was also new and untested over a period of time. There are both sides to everything, Built quality is higher, Materials used etc are much better from Moza. Also as a starting point i would say their software is better, took years for fanatec to achieve what moza has in 6 months.

    Shaun, I think you're a bit off the mark with your price comparisons vs. the Fanatec offerings. As of right now (March 11, 2022), the Fanatec CSL DD 8Nm retails for $479.95. A very popular formula-style rim to use with it, the McLaren GT3 v2, retails for $199.95. This brings the total to $679.90.
    The Moza R9 does seem to be a great value at $439, but then factoring in that the only available compatible wheels will set you back an additional $499, you're looking at $938, or over $260 more than the Fanatec offering. Even if, with Fanatec, you opted for the more expensive Clubsport Formula v2.5 wheel, you'd still be coming in more than $200 less than the Moza.
    Moza need to be able to offer a wheel in the 200-300 dollar range before I think most people will look at them as a serious alternative to the Fanatec CSL DD.
