🤭 I think...I might have to try it...I’m a sucker for 16 oz. Update: I love it. Silicones and all I LOVE IT 🥰 the slip, the moisture, the cleanliness, and the curl poppage is severe... This formula is bomb, she did that ☑️
QuinnRae Right! When you bring out the big jar it’s like you talking to me specifically, I can’t 🙇🏾♀️ Like the tallest dude in the room walk up to you like ‘hey’. You can’t ignore that...
I went to Target and bought this halfway through your review. I also grabbed the Mousse Def while there. Girl!!! It was the best wash and go ever!!! I was feeling myself for days. It was like just add water to refresh. Going tomorrow to get the shampoo and conditioner. My Gemini Naturals color gel is here too. I can't wait to wash my hair. I never say that. Thank you for your review. ❤️
This is right on time! Been wanting to try this but hadn’t heard anyone talk about it. Actually the brand isn’t super talked about in general. Like you, As I Am set the bar for me but I’ve been trying to really dip into other co-washes to see what else is out there. Tfs!
Yesss I have used a decent amount of CoWashes and they normally either lack moisture or you don’t really feel like your hair is cleannnnn ... those two from As I Am do both equally so they’ve always been the GOAT for me 😂🤣🤣🤣
That product is too high. I’m going to stick with the co-washes I already have. I saw this at Target saw that extremely high price and did what? Left it right there.
They’re only expensive because it’s a fairly new black female owned business that doesn’t have a lot of connections that these white brands do. Over time as people buy more and they get more supporters, prices WILL drop. They’ve gotta make a profit🤷🏿♀️
She's a hairstylist and a black woman. I purchased the entire line and a t-shirt! One Love was sold, but I'm going to get it when it becomes available. 💜 Thanks for the review.
Definitely try the mousse for a one product wash n go. 😍 I'm a type 4 natural and it works soooo well on my coils. The whole line is bomb af. I have been having a hard time figuring out exactly what the bonita afro balm is for though. 😬 The owner stated it's not to be used as a twisting cream 🤷🏾♀️ Edit: running to target as soon as they open to pick up that cowash 🏃🏾♀️
Say what now ???!!! 😂😂😭😭😭 I was definitely gonna use it as a twist out @ Afro Balm.. Chileeeeeee #WhatImGonDoNow lol .. I have heard great things about that mousseeeee tho
Go for it sis! I've seen a few vids of people using it for a twistout and they got some bomb results 🤷🏾♀️ I might give it a go myself. But I tried the cowash last night and you hit the nail on the head with this review 😱 I was shook and my coils were super clean, moisturized, and poppin!
Girlllllllll !!!!! So you found it in your target ??? I’m jealousssss 😂😂🤣🤣 and girl YESSSSSSS I mean it literally satisfied every single CLAIM which most products might do one or two things ... I know it would be bomb as a PrePoo too ..
She has great tutorials on her channel. One specific to the balm. Definitely don’t use it for a twist out unless you want dull hair, it’s a cross between a pomade and a paste
Just went to the Doux Salon in Macon GA and had the owner Maya "Doux" my hair. It came out awesome. I have 4c hair and she defined the curls, it looks moisturized. I do aqua aerobics and it survived that. I'm 3 days in to my hairstyle. She used Sucka Free, One Love, Mos Def, and the light and one more which she did not give me the name of. I have to email her. I am super happy and highly recommend the products. Watch The Doux's IG for technical instruction.
Hey Quinn! And really this rivals ASIAM because I use the Asiam cowash and a prepoo already so hmm?🤔 Now if you did a comparison video side by side that would be cool!!
found a bunch of this at my local pallet store for $3 each so i grabbed 2 jars. Hoping my curly headed babies get a great wash like you! I normally use as I am on them
I haven’t tried any of the newest products yet but I’m definitely going to purchase the co-wash once I’m all out of AsIAm. Mousse Def is one of my favorite products from The Doux. It’s great for EVERYTHING! Please don’t try to use the Bonita Afro Balm as a twisting cream like I did...EPIC fail 😂
I am screaminnnn ... I am so THANKFUL for y’all cause everyone has been saying NOT to use it as a twisting cream and that’s EXACTLY what I was gonna do 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
I love mousse def I used it for a twist out. I enjoyed the mouse because it has a moisturizer in it already. I love the shine and bounce it gave my twist out.
Ok, sis...here's my opinion: I tried the Mousse and didnt care that much for it..however☝🏾, I used it as directed🧐but the way my 4C hair is structured😂😂..I'm a try it on a remix and see...I also have the Bonita Afro Balm. Gotta say, I cant figure out how to incorporate it in2 my routine so I'm curious to see your review. Either way, I'm a still try more from her collection cause the product junkie in me wont die😜😜!! Gr8t review✊🏾✊🏾
Jack In The.Making the doux has a TH-cam channel that explains her products perfectly. People confuse the balm and think it’s a twist out cream, it’s not. It’s a defined and is only meant to be used on dry hair to tweak 2nd day frizzy hair.
Great video and tutorial 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Girl you sold me I’m going to have to try this. I just saw some of this collection at Sallys . ❤️ then juicy shiny twists you done 😍😍😍
I have used the Bonita Afro Balm as a twisting cream and my hair was dry but elongated & volumonous? I loved it! Lol I tried it again as refresher mid-week, still dry but the volume sis!! 😂 I'm on the fence, I just don't know!
Serendipityx6 hey girl! I saw your comment and wanted to help a little. The balm is not meant to be a twist out cream. It’s a finishing product, meant to refresh curls and twist outs. Check out her TH-cam channel, she explains a lot there and also does demo 😉
Let me type this while I let this ad play... Now you know I judge cowashers in real life 🤣🤣🤣 but, summer/wash n go season coming up and if I need a midweek wash, maybe I’ll consider this or your boo As I Am. LOL!!!
Chileeeeeeeeee y’all LOYAL lol cause someone else just said that too .. I was definitely gonna use it as a twisting cream .. now I’m like #WhatImmaDo 😭😭😭
Me either! I have a few cowashes in my collection, but still have yet to try my first one. Ive been washing my hair with conditioner since way back in the early 90s. But 2019 is the year that I will try my first "official" cowash...I hope they're good for me!
Ok now, I love love all your reviews, you have convinced me in many occasions to go out and purchase a lot of products. I have to unsubscribe ( lol). Cause I'm out to go try this one.. On a serious note you are one of my favorite you tubers, your reaction is everything everytime. Keep up the good work and be exceptionally blessed.
the bonita afro balm is the bomb, i love the shampoo and conditioner, the mousse def texture mousse is my staple product for detangling my hair, the light oil spray is good for straightening the hair, recently purchased the good day finishing cream and it's great but i feel like bonita afro balm gets everything done for my hair texture. I am a stan for this brand and I stand behind it 100% because it is a great hair care line for us naturalistas. Yeah it's pricey but oh so worth it!
You didn't say what it smelled like (I didn't buy it, but smells like cherry-starwberry. I don't like Perry smells so I left it). I bought a few products a few weeks ago. I never saw it online before. I went to Target to look for a conditioner that is no longer sold at 2 beauty supply stores I regularly go to. Needless to say, I went to Target for 1 reas ok n and left with 3 The Doux items! 1. Good Day - is a finishing cream, smells like marshmallow extract, thick and adds shine to a style. 2. Bonita Afro Balm - I prefer to use on damp hair, smells like key lime pie. I used this on a 3 day old wash n go. I spritz with water, applied this product. A little goes a long way!!! The car is high! Twisted and untwisted the next day...curls were still noticeable from my wash n go and they were elongated. 3. MOOUSE DEF!!! - don't sleep on this item! Doesn't have a sweet smell, TINIEST hint of a flower, but goes away quick. This is a FOAM, used on damp hair. I used my regular Argon oil first then applied this to each section. Shook my hair and my curls POPPED all freakin week! I kid you not!!! It was not flaky, not crunchy and NOT drying!!! hair felt soft all week. And everyone needs to LIKE the videos you watch by black-youtubers. 2020 needs to have a list of Hair + Beauty TH-camrs with our faces on it! Likes and watching vids for more than 2 mins helps the youtubers channel!
I tried the mouse for a wash and go, it did not work at all for me. I saw a TH-camr use it, hers came out gorgeous. I also had to order it online from Target
Yesss I think one of their most talked about products is that Mousse ... I see a lot of people using it for a wash n go .. I’m always so nervous about uses mousses period lol
QuinnRae try it so we can see how it turn out on your hair 😊 I’m still holding on to it, I will revisit it on day, I got so excited I purchased for bottles 😂😂
I am a co washer but I dont buy co wash products. I am very old school with my co washing, so i still just you very slippery cheap conditioners. I like as I am co wash too but I just won't spend the money.
After reading the ingrediants, WHAT made you want to try this product? Just asking, I just want to know do you NOT care about ingredience? It's OK if you don't. NO Judgement. I'm new to watching all these hair care videos and have learned a whole lot about reading and understanding the effects of the ingrediants on our natural hair. Just curious to understand your views on ingredients. Thank you.
No Problem ... and you’re accurate in your assumption that I don’t care about ingredients ... There are a lot of people that stay away from certain ingredients because of how it affects their hair .. I haven’t run into any of those issues personally ...

I've used their shampoo and conditioner and the shampoo is what stood out. It is still the most moisturizing shampoo I've tried.
This product is the REAL DEAL! I only use this product! It's the best! I'm going to try the mouse for blow drying
Right on time. Looking for videos to watch when I need to be in my bed sleep, lol.

brownsugar 74 oh, ok. Thanks 😁
Thank you for posting your review on this product! I heading over to Target to cop some now!❤
I absolutely love this product and the mousse def texture foam. By far, the quickest wash and go combination that I have. Its a definite keeper.
That product is too high. I’m going to stick with the co-washes I already have. I saw this at Target saw that extremely high price and did what? Left it right there.
Always gotta do what works for us as individuals ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was surprised at how good the co wash works. Like you said it's watery, so I didn't think it'd work well for my hair. Money well spent!

Did you try the mousse yet?
The only thing I've tried from them is their conditioner, and I loved it. I plan on repurchasing once I run out.
Beautiful curls girl. That product looked like a thick conditioning creme or styling butter cream. I never do co-washes...but hmmmm?
😉 😘
I can’t wait to try it! But watch her video on using Bonita Afro balm, it’s not a twisting cream like the reviews say.
Chileeeeeeeeee y’all LOYAL lol cause someone else just said that too .. I was definitely gonna use it as a twisting cream .. now I’m like #WhatImmaDo 😭😭😭

Try the Eden Bodyworks co wash. When I was the co wash queen I used it all the time I want to hear your opinion. ❤️
I’m definitely gonna give that a go !!
QuinnRae the leave in conditioner is pretty bomb too. Stay away from everything else. Unless you like extremely thick products that don’t absorb lol
They have a twisting cream on their website but it's sold out

TFS queen I won’t be co-washing but I use the shampoo, fresh rinse and the mousse def is good
I tried the mousse and the good day cream both is a no for me.. I should known my hair doesn’t like a lot of synthetic ingredients
I’m shocked cause people have been going crazy over the mousse .. but everyone’s hair and reactions are different ... ❤️❤️
Some people make the mistake to use it like other products. Check out her TH-cam channel and try it again. I promise you’ll love it 😍
Arista Corral I should known better my hate synthetic ingredients in the first couple of ingredients
