I've got an older GTX 155 now for the family, but would like to get a second ski to play around on and these remind me of the 90s skis my friends and I had when we were younger. i ran this tune with 12/15 impeller gutted stock water box riva straight thru exhaust ribbon delete and air intake.after a hour of wot runs my water box got so hot it cracked wide open.tune is too hot for 91 oct pump gas
finally pulled the trigger and I am also skeptical on the cold air stuff. So thinking of also doing the 8600 tune and prop, or keeping it stock for now but not sure if there will be issues with cavitation on a stock prop

Is this a 3 up? Also, if you do a water 180 or 360 and water buries you a little and you accelerate out now with the new tune does it jump back up on the water better and take off? I rode a stock one the other day and its throttle response out of a hole was crap.
not many honestly, most of the issues were from assembly at the dealership. Motor wise, it is incredibly reliable. I had assembly issues with the hull and with the alignment of the motor inside the hull. Once that was taken care of by warranty, it was solid, even after the stage 2 upgrade! my friend has 230 hours on his stage 3 ski, so i'd say it's pretty reliable. he did no work to the motor - only to the jet pump and performance upgrades.
@@alexvaughn6431 yes they are not made to be quick but they are by far the fastest out of the line in acceleration . If you're looking for something with top speed find one of those floating couches with 300 horsepower

Im curious is why these are called a trixx? It doesnt do any its way to heavy. My 1993 wave blaster can do a wheelie like that without freestyle trim setup lol for 10k that thing better do barrelrolls and backflips lol
Sure does. If you have the maptuner, you can bring it back to stock, though... nobody will know 🤫. I brought mine back to stock, then to the dealer the other day. Never would have known lol

feels like the 8600 and up are the same. tryed the 9k+race tune, and running the 8600 again. onoly thing i can say it does, is the sound of it in air, but its not good for the engine. Im at 8170 with stage 3 and ss wear ring 8600 12/14
i think it's all throttle response after a point. higher RPM is higher top speed i suppose. after i get the RIVA intake on and stainless hull washers, i'm going to try to crank it a bit more. at least everyone will know if the other upgrades will be worth it. end goal is turbo lol
What was your reasoning for getting a SS wear ring? You get a rock then you risk the impeller..plus it's called a wear ring bc...its supposed to wear, right? Feel like plastic gets a better seal.
@@kaseybowen i changed because there is alot of shit in the lake, and break rings often. no problems after. Mine still does 53 mph with ss same as with plastic. Im not getting a rock in there cuz i dont let others ride it anymore unless we are far out on deep sea. i was unsure aswell before i changed, had the same thoughts about it. but im not going back. When it come to tune, the 8600 fells the same as the race tune 9k+. to me, it only moves the limiter, and i didnt get anything out of it, so i stick to the 8600.

Anyways, reach out and ask them to retune since you're having that problem. They'll either do it few or discount it since it was botched

Yup I never thought I would give up my XP's either until the Spark came out. Now I have two sparks and my days of mixing fuel are gone. XP are awesome though.
For those that are not aware....the trixx comes with a 90hp motor and a top speed of 48mph
No it's not 48 its 52-53 mph I have the none trixx 90 hp spark h.o. 2up
empire spark use an actual gps you’ll find that it is closer to 48-49mph, the one on the spark is a little off

Na should be fine. People like the wetjet freeflow but keep the water box and guts in tact

Idk about a 3 up I run a 2 up but I have a stage 3 with this tune and it’s out of the hole power is unbelievably better. Like a whole new machine

Probably not worth it unless required. Adding more octane could cause detonation

Nothing other than a factory defect, my green ski is on a similar tune after 5 years with absolutely no damage at all. Hope that helps

The tune revision was older, try to update and re-tune. It worked after the second tune.

Pwcmuscle.com - additional 30-ish horsepower and but the acceleration is the big part
If you're only hitting 48-49 not worth it I hit, 50 and highest I hit was 52-53 at a stock spark 2up 90hp
Best so far is 56, it's not about the top speed (as said in all my videos) it's about acceleration
