Thank alot Miami Max. Intake grates dont add horsepower, they just allow more or better directed flow of water through the tunnel of the jetski to the impeller. You may experience better "hook up" or Improved acceleration because the impeller can move the water more efficiently through the pump and avoid cavitation
Hey mate, better acceleration only. The top speed stays the same, you could see an improvment on top speed with an aftermarket impeller but its generally not significant enough to count and getting the 110 mod you would want to run an aftermarket impeller to counteract the possibility of cavitation (or get the stock one repitched) But I swapped the stock because the cast construction rusts pretty easily
you think its worth the money? Is the low end that noticeable, like would it help in airing the tight waves I have that need to be timed properly because of lack of shape
In theory the added low end power should help in those circumstances and you can notice it in the wavies/wheelies and drag racing. If I bought another ski I would definitely buy again. Might try to find a stock ski and have a comparison vid over this summer
I don't beleive my tune is riva (done at dealership). From forum opinion the tune is an influence of both the impeller size and the tune. Not just the tune, I would play it on the safe side and discuss figures with the company responsible with the tune for them to better indicate what their tune focuses on and what impeller they recommend to compliment their tune
Unfortunately its not something that is easy for me to answer, I paid around $1200-1500 aud from memory (onto of my new ski). I would recommend getting prices from your local dealer or better yet, jump on facebook and get on the various seadoo spark groups and ask where people have gotten the best deals in your area
@@dylanclark6738 bummer I was expecting more. Already have sport mode. It goes faster in touring. Already do about 48. Spending that much for 2mph more isn’t worth it. Thanks for the info.
I just did the Mod on my 2020 Trixx. I did the 12/14 solas, the ribbon delete, the 110 tune. A new wear ring but I kept it plastic. I saw top speed go from 50 mph to 52 mph. The big difference is the holeshot. It jumps out of the water. It is definitely worth it to me. The map tuner allows me to tune it up to 120hp and back down. Yee Haw! I am thinking about trying the 12/15 SS impeller.
Great vid!!
I expected more to be honest, i did 86 River flow down with our trixx (2018, 90HP bone stock and original wear ring) for a small time
Great Vid Scotty. I am hanging out for summer on the spark
Oh so am I haha tomorrow weather is a bit of a tease
So, for easy reference, what was the top speed?
nice video mate. I heard rumors the aftermarket intake grate helps horse power. Do you know if thats true by chance?
Thank alot Miami Max.

I am hoping soon to do a video of each mods in the near future and documenting the benefits
Hey bud, I just got a 3 up spark and was wondering how much of a difference the 110 tune makes

@@TheeScottyMac Yeah thanks bud, what impeller do you have
I never fitted it so it should be a 12/14 solas. Time will tell when I pull it down to regrease and check bearings
I have a 60 tuned to 110 and race against a 90 stock and they are about the same! The diff is between 60 and 90 !

Is yours 90hp?
@@TheeScottyMac yeah any spark model with ibr is 90 hp for point of reference
Lol I look back at my question and now realise how stupid it was 🤣. It was 5.30am ish and I had a crying baby so I'm gonna run with that excuse
What is the max rpms with this riva 110 setup..normally 2up have max 7800 and 3up 8300

@@TheeScottyMac the speed who I measure in my stock 2up is 79 km/h...max..on 3up I measure 84 in same condition..but acceleration is faster on 2up
@@mitkomitkov8192 are both of them stock?
@@TheeScottyMac yes ..absolutely stock...2up on 53hours 3up on 12hours..when I do measure
What gas you have to put in there after the tune, isnt it like 91 or 93 octane
98 octane, was recommended by my local seadoo shop to limit pinging apparently
@@TheeScottyMac 98???, didnt know there was a 98 octane
Australian fuel, while its a higher octane the ppm restriction of sulfur is double

Sounds like you just ran a marathon 😅
I was wondering about how much is it for the 110hp tune and SS impeller?

$450 USD with a basic solas impeller and tune from a few places at $200
52mph/84km is factory speed
Factory speed is 50mph/~80km/h. Search it up.
last week i did 52 mph on 100% stock
Yeah tune isn't really for top speed, it's more for acceleration
@@ukaszem809 yep also been in the 51-52 range with mine
Fastest stock on a 2up was 53
So how fast did it go
85km(52.82mi)
what is the max speed??
85km
53 mph apparently
So what's the top speed?
the same top speed (around 50 mph) but better acceleration
