Thank you so much. Your explanation was so clear and I loved the way you walked us through how to do our bodice block. This is perhaps the clearest tutorial I've seen regarding this. Looking forward to making my own.

An absolutely wonderful tutorial .... thank you SO much!!!! Please do keep showing and teaching us this way, together with sewing/pattern tutorials as well if posssible? There are so many vloggers out there, good vloggers, that just do what they have made and/or are making ..... when people like me really need the tutorials from fab peop!e such as yourself. So thank you again ... I CAN do this !!!!!
What wonderful words!! I will keep creating tutorials - don’t you worry! So happy to have you here! Be sure to subscribe and hit the bell so you don’t miss any ♥️♥️♥️
Fabulous! So glad you like it! I recently created a tutorial on how to use this block to create a princess seamed bodice, so be sure to check that out too! Evelyn ♥️♥️♥️ xx
@@EvelynAdore I most certainly will check that one out as well. I just finished making my bodice block pattern this afternoon and am excited to give it a test run. 😊
What a great channel you have! Love it. Saw your dolman top in a picture on Minerva and had to find your channel! I’m a newbie to sewing and am really excited to try this- do you have a recommendation for the paper thickness and size? There’s a lot of choice 🤯 x
Hey!! Thank you so so much for your kind words!! Oh how wonderful! WELCOME!! What country are you in, and I can try and find some links for you! ♥️♥️♥️ Super excited to have you here! Evelyn xoxo
Thank you so much, this is brilliant. So simple to understand especially how to calculate the front dart required. The only thing I am studying is where to draw the top line for the neck and shoulder to be created from, is this at the measurement of back shoulder and front shoulder to waist points respectively. Also I note you do not include a small dart at the top of the shoulder on the back, do you think this is not necessary? Thank you once again. Can make this into a dress by extending to include the hip area?
You are so welcome! ♥️♥️ Thank you so much for your kind words! You are indeed correct! The top shoulder line simply extends from the top of your centre back and centre front lines, which are created using your front shoulder to waist and back shoulder to waist measurements respectively 💕 I have created blocks and patterns using shoulder darts before, but have found them unnecessary (and I’ve even found them to create unwanted bulk at the shoulders - we don’t want that!!) You are spot on! You could indeed extend this to create a fitted dress block (which may or may not be coming up on the channel soon when I take you through how to modify this block ☺️☺️) xx again - thank you so much for your kind words! Means so much xx Evelyn xoxo
Hi! Thanks for watching and for being here! ♥️♥️♥️ I don’t currently have a video like this - the most likely reason being because I draft blocks to my measurements I don’t often need to adjust anything! I definitely think it makes fit issues much less likely! I do however usually make a mockup of any designs I create from adapting the blocks ♥️♥️♥️
Evelyn, how are you doing? I am from Ethiopia-Addis Ababa. I have a question for you: When I am doing the draft for Bodies Block, to do the "Neckline and Shoulder line" the height of the paper should be the highest measurement from Front Shoulder to Waist? As I took the highest width measurement "The Bust"
Evelyn, how are you doing?? I have a question for you. If I want to sew shirt or trouser for men, can I follow the same pattern drafting. I want to sew to my son. Thank you
Everyone does their Neasurements Differently And I am So Thankful for your sharing very Helpful But I really wish you would have included Shoulder to hips Measurement
Hi, lovely! ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you so much for watching! Traditionally bodice blocks are created to the waistline, BUT I do have videos you can follow to help you make a hip length form or a dress length form too! Try drafting a skirt block and simply attaching to the bodice block at the waistline (link to the skirt block here - th-cam.com/video/MfFw1ZG3SEA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zHsZ5EgGSjXzb9uY This will help you create a block you can use for hip length garments and beyond! Hope that helps! Be sure to subscribe and share! Much love ♥️♥️♥️💕

Hello from Scotland!! ♥️♥️♥️ Yes! Your paper should be at least as high as your front shoulder to waist measurement xx
Evelyn, how are you doing?? I have a question for you. If I want to sew shirt or trouser for men, can I follow the same pattern drafting. I want to sew to my son. Thank you
Yes, absolutely you can use the same method! I would just add an extra inch or two to the crotch depth when you create it ♥️♥️♥️
