    Great video . Useful tips . The rain cover that secures the backpack straps during air travel is a brilliant idea and the Hilleberg footprint bags , you've got me thinking of uses for those .

      Haha yeah you should use those bags - they’re quite nice and just laying around 😄

    Hi Rob! Thank for the amazing pack list! How did the sleeping bag end up to be with the temperatures? We are going in September as well and are looking into a quilt with -1 comfort. Will that be enough in combination with a Neoair Xlite?

    • @OutdoorPrep
      @OutdoorPrep 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Thanks. Happy you like it. Sleeping bag had a good temperature for me. If you’re a cold sleeper you could aim for -5 comfort.
      I would recommend a closed cell pad as well to protect the air pad, and also to add insulation if you let some air out of the neoair for added comfort. Check out yo[dot]no website for historical weather in Abisko, but keep in mind that once you’re in the mountains that weather forecast is not accurate. What you will see is that temps drop in September.
      Hope this helps ✌🏽

    Nice video! Going there this August.
    Can you share the brands of the backpack rain cover, the rain jacket and the waterproof gloves please?

      Fjallraven Flight Cover 🎒
      Fjallraven Keb Eco Shell jacket & trousers 💪🏼
      Waterproof gloves were from Dechatlon. Simple over mittens - worked perfectly as they were not too thick.
      Good luck 💪🏼

    That pack is going to be very heavy, even without the food. I’m more of an ultralight hiker so this was a lot haha. My backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad and tent weighs less than your backpack. But I hope you have a nice trip anyway! Are you going to do a video of the hike?

    • @OutdoorPrep

    What was the total weight of your backpack?

    • @OutdoorPrep
      @OutdoorPrep 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ended up being around 22kg+ including camera gear, 4kg of food and water and a (very large) gas canister. Went down to around 18kg. Those 4kg make a huge difference.
