My favourite of the two Ashes. Martin Turner's vocals are so good. Last time i saw this band in Buxton it was brilliant ...... "Okay lads, lets do Argus, all of it. Sorry about the short notice!" And they did. I was in Heaven.
Hey mate Martin Bass playing is great and he did write most of the song on Argus sorry but his vocals are very flat and the band is half step down and he still ain't reaching on most songs Throw Down The Sword & Blowing Free better getting a singer in and just play Bass
I'm sorry mate but I've also seen this band live I respect Martin as the Guy That Wrote all the songs on Argus great guy. You say the vocals are good they are playing the song Half A Step Down and Martin still not hitting the notes. I've seen both bands Andy band are a more polished band but there's a rawness that I liked with Martins band I'd go and watch both band if there in my neck of the woods Great Songs Man
They’re playing a gig in Leverkusen on the 21st of November 2023, next week Tuesday in other words if you still live in Leverkusen, maybe a chance of seeing them again? They’re playing the Live Dates album.
The warrior on the front cover of the album Argys, is based on the Spartan uniform during Sparta's rise to power in the years circa 200 B.C. There is something very powerful about that photo because we should remember the Spartans were very cautious in their diplomacy and applied fairness and justice in war, for the most part.
Great clip, thanks Sonny, last week The Midnight Special Channel here on YT premiered the Jim Croce episode which includes Wishbone Ash/73' doing Jailbait, this clip has not been seen in decades so you guys might want to take a look especially Martin👍💎🙏
Yes he would have..............saw him in May and not only did he come out after to speak to anyone still around in lobby, he kindly offered to sign my copy of his book. A true gent indeed (the book is a great read btw)
Martin does a great job of the older Ash music but he's stuck in a time zone.(his early contributions being very pivotal)Many albums released since his departure by Wishbone are absolutely fantastic.

Ah! Brings back uni student flatting days early 70s in Wellington New Zealand’s capital
Saw Wishbone Ash on the Live Dates (US) Tour, back in the day... Nice to hear they are still awesome...

Cover design by Hipgnosis - one of Storm Thorgerson & Aubrey Powell's brilliant images!
Immer noch klasse. 🎸
Live sowieso...
One of the best intros in world!
Thanks sonny for putting this on love mart loads.from Shaz in the East MIDs.
LOvely to hear this.....great playing from you all.
Eternal song
Nice to see that they are faithful to the original song and it's solo parts - unlike the current WA performances.
Martin still sounds good too.
Love em,all on Facebook and interact with fans, the sense of humour between them all is fantastic too
great clip many thanks saw them about 4 weeks ago at the beaverwood club at chiselhurst brilliant !!!

cool, i'll have to look for that...
here it is, holy time warp, Batman. th-cam.com/video/ZlJTLsc1ofs/w-d-xo.html
The original !
Wishbone Ash NEEDS Martin turner and brother back! Just not the same.
and brother?Ted wasn't related!
I believe there's too much bad blood between Andy and the others for that to ever happen now sadly
Martins brother Glenn played with him in an earlier incarnation "Empty Vessels" when he left that prompted Andy and Ted (no relation) joining
Great job fellas. It didn't look like the drummer was getting much love...come on rhythm section...
Ya mon
Sounds like Martin be sportin' some flat wounds...
Saw the “other” Wishbone Ash at Skippers Sunday. He would not sign my cd. I bet YOU would have.
Yes he would have..............saw him in May and not only did he come out after to speak to anyone still around in lobby, he kindly offered to sign my copy of his book. A true gent indeed (the book is a great read btw)
Well that’s lovely to hear. I’ll give the non Flying V version a try when they come to Tampa FLA USA. Ta.

The lyrics are talking about the second coming of Christ ‼️
What is the poison pen ❓ the jab ❗
Ted Turner is not Martin's brother ..
Warum nicht?
