This is how many people struggling with drug addiction behave. Two-faced behavior, disappearing and then randomly appearing, general randomness, cryptic talk, weird influxes in personality, etc. I grew up around this sort of thing and experienced a tad bit of it myself. Feel sorry for the lady and the baby. And feel sorry for Chris too; if he's not a complete ahole I'm sure it eats him up inside being currently too disabled to take on fatherhood. Life is hard.
He kind of is a complete a hole though. After the Bryan Stars interview all those years ago, I could never look at him the same. He's a father now though so he needs to choose his son over drugs or alcohol.

8 years, wow, it’s wild to me that he was still big or being discovered in 2014… I thought by 2010 his fandom died out. I’m just now finding out all the drama and it’s quite sad to see what’s happened. I lovedddd him when I was in highschool back in like 2008 lol my god time flies. I hope he gets out of whatever he’s going through.

I hung out with him for like an hour one time and when he would talk or answer a question he would try to find a deep way of answering. He gave off a vibe like he was a simple man trying to make everything complex. Over all he was a kind person

I haven't heard much of "bad things from someone close to him" so I am interested. I did know his ex said she left because of "narcissistic abuse" but that was it. I've been OBSESSED since I was 11, met him several times, took one of his workshops at Warped and shared water with him (a memory I tell everyone too often lol). I've always made excuses for him, and I do know his brother died recently, and to some extent I'm sure he did some damage doing as many psychs as he did for as long as he did, but it makes me super sad. His new song From A Skank I Know gives me chills, not in a good way.
First off, omg where is that song? I haven't heard it yet. Second, I'm basically in the same boat, I met him before at a work shop also at warped (i saw other people share water with him lmao maybe it was you?). It's just such a weird time where all this weird shit is coming out about Chris, like, I really wish it weren't this way, he's such a huge role model for me. ugh
@@rainyowlstar there's a new channel called Never Shout Never (I think. It's close enough that I thought it was official at first but I think the original had no spaces). It sounds really cool but the lyrics make him sound very unwell. There's another new one, Queen Canna, which I really like. What's especially sad is that the dude really is insanely talented. He plays like every instrument you can think of and a lot of his lyrics are actually really deep and well-written for someone that was so young and so out of it sometimes. I used to say he could play any genre too. I loved that he switched it up but always had something I loved.

I saw your other video and I feel the same way you do as his fan. Dude was my idol for the longest, I still listen to his old music even now. Just yesterday I was listening to it even though it’s pretty cringy nowadays…..especially being the same age as him. I’m turning 31 this year.
I still love Chris. I didn’t know what’s been going on with him though.
To be honest I feel like Chris hasn’t grown up mentally. I think that’s the big issue. He seems to still do the same type of posting he use to do back in the day on MySpace…..the random weirdness and out there sort of looks. Except now he’s a grown man so that’s why I feel it comes off as weird. He’s still trying to be like the random cool guy from back when he had all that insane fame. His fandom like me who still sticks by him won’t really mind it, but I can still say that it’s weird because he’s grown now. I feel like he’s still acting like the good old days when he had insane fame, but now he doesn’t have it like that anymore and it’s affecting him for sure.
I didn’t know about all the stuff with his baby, but I hope he does straighten his life out.
I get that it’s hard, I’ve had 2 kids as well and it can be difficult to accept that maybe life isn’t just all about yourself anymore. But I do hope Chris makes a good change, I still love the man.
He helped me through horrible times where I had the least of friends ever and he was a big inspiration for me to be a better person.

I agree, not only is he blasting Chris for his “strange behavior” but half of the stuff he’s talking about is just insinuations and as you said, poor research. Like that picture he called chopsticks was actually paint brushes. He’s legit recording himself researching as he goes. Majority of the video isnt even about “what happened to Chris Drew” it’s about his feelings and opinions, completely unnecessary.
Idk how I stumbled upon this but I'm from Joplin MO an we had a few mutual friends growing up, I had a couple interactions with him during the "dub step years" he an some friends were putting on small raves around the area where he, and all of us frankly were getting deep into "Molly" an mushrooms during those years (the 2 times i went to his house were to pick up acid an mushys) which led most of the mutual friends of ours into a deep "roxie" or oxycodone addiction which later turned to "H" being very prevalent in the "scene" in Joplin, dude looks like a shell of himself now but I wish him the best because alot of those people we knew are no longer with us, also I heard the story about his brother possibly being shot by police I guess which in its self is very bizarre for this area being such a small town there are very very few if ever any officer involved shootings which makes it all even more peculiar

That is not the same Christopher Drew. He looks more like post Malone now than anyone. And what's the deal with the name? I used to be the biggest fan of him in my teen years. Until the Bryan Stars interview. Then I completely stopped keeping up with him. Until now, like 12 years later. I'm sober too so I don't understand any of this stuff he's talking about. But I used to use and was in active addiction for many years. And this kind of behavior is definitely drug induced. No way he's sober. And where is his son?? He needs to clean up and get it together. Now he is a father and he needs to put his son before the toxic stuff. And himself too. He needs help.
He must have some complex with his songs, he never seems to like the end result, and I think he could try look for a new studio/producer before giving up on music that way, he said he retired because he became a painter, it was great to do both at the same time :/
Yeah. Idk much of what is is actually doing, he seems like a beginner painter, no shade though, still. He definitely is a perfectionist or something with his music because it seems like he always takes stuff down.

The same thing I think of the album "Indigo", has super cool songs, some like "California Slang" sound much better live, but the album has a bit of a bad mix, but he didn't exclude hahaha.
I also feel that everyone leaving the NSN has affected him a lot, he must feel very alone and he ends up doing all the shit he's been doing.

At their start the band seemed solid and positive but as time went on it just got dark and people started leaving and others joined. Like still don't really know who tf this one guy was that was in the band for a while

I just saw the whole video and couldnt be quiet. I've been following his ex on social media for many years now and some time ago she did many streams telling the truth about their relationship. She said he's an abuser, exposed him as a husband and a father, told us about the time they lived in Brazil and talked about how everything was an absolute hell. She exposed his family, his friends, his addictions, his behaviour (yes he beated her, yes he did BAD BAD BAD things to her). Now she says she forgives him and hopes he has contact with their son, also she asks everybody to NOT talk about it-which I think just helps him to keep doing everything he does. I was his biggest fan my whole life, but after everything that she said I just can't stand this man anymore. He should be in jail. He's such a bad person and no wonder he's acting all crazy now. Guys, honestly, this guy said he heard voices in his head and that he believed he was Jesus. I... just... ugh. Hate the guts. Honestly. I feel so bad for his ex. She opened an onlyfans page, only talks weird on social media, is an antivax, the girl is lost too. I'm sorry, couldn't keep quiet after seeing this video. This mf deserves to be held accountable.
