In my opinion, that line, and the fake out of making you think you're playing as Bruce at first, are the only things about this mission that I wasn't completely disappointed with

I love the fact that he says it with such resentment and anger towards tommy for talking shit about Bruce’s “gain” like “he had everything handed to him”...well yea anything to show love and support to a little boy who literally lost his family...and the anger seethes when it’s revealed tommy tried to kill his parents, yeah his dad died but he (tommy) hated his mother for living while I’m sure Bruce would trade everything (money, the Wayne company) just to have one of his parents back....this to me was a great side mission cuz this one shows how twisted some people can be when they are so full of entitlement
I wish Wayne tower served as more of a Batcave, like when you press the button on the Shakespeare statue, that you could actually change suits right there or something like that.

@@bl4ckw1ngz64 Scarecrow’s original plan was to use gas to destroy all of the American Westcoast, so even in other city is not safe guaranteed. But Wayne Tower probably has a biohazard protection system.
I doubt this was what Paul Dini had in mind when he set up Hush in Arkham City.
This side mission is such a waste when you consider how much potential the idea of someone masquerading as Bruce Wayne has. So many ideas in this vid's comments section seem better than simply walking into Wayne Enterprise in order to steal money.
I agree, in the Batman : Hush comic series, Hush was behind of the bat, he used his face for gaining his money and faking himself as Bruce to gain entrance to the Batcave.
That would be really more interesting story then this Red Hood story. We could guess what could happen in this game from Batman the Red Hood movie too.
It's a shame that Hush is just used as a trash and couldn't have shown his real potential for being a badass villain.

Rocksteady acted like a filth here. The game have no boss fights , so you actually don't have that satisfying mission endings. Again , I am asking , why do you use him ? Side missions are trash , main missions are bat-tank.

I LOVE the attention to detail on this game. If you look closely at Hush, you can see the scars from where he had the stitches on his face in Arkham City.
Unfortunately that’s where all the budget went to for this game. That’s why the bosses were a bit weak and pathetic.

I wish there was an identity thief-like mission in which Hush leaves behind bodies of Wayne employees, and suddenly once Batman starts to piece everything together Hush appears. You can Batmobile chase him to Wayne Tower then chase him through the building (effectively making better use of the building's interior) and then when Lucius locks the building down, Batman will be trapped outside. Then you can have a set amount of time to get out, grapple up and then go into the office where this encounter then ensues. Would've been much better.

That is a genius idea, would add a good 10 minutes to the mission and that's what it needs
What would've been good is if Hush had planted bombs on the structures supporting Wayne tower, and Batman had to go around and defusing each bomb, which leads to a difficult minigame for each bomb (they get progressively more difficult with each one you defuse). As well as beating up thugs Elliot blackmailed and dressed up with lab coats and bandages on their faces. Then when you come back he has a brute in the room with Lucius' secretary held hostage, tied to a light fixture, and the brute has a bomb surgically placed inside his chest cavity in which you have to do a beatdown on him. Once he's knocked out a timer begins ticking on the bomb with only one minute until detonation, and you have to use your deep tissue scanner to follow wires to hack-able microchips (about 3) that Hush has surgically planted in different layers of his body, and defuse them using your cryptographic sequencer. You then use a batarang to cut the secretary down and question her about the next room. She tells you 'Bruce' is still in the office, and then it ends exactly how the vanilla side mission ended. What do you guys think about this alternative version I thought up, let me know what you think of it.

TheBatzFiend That's good. I like that. Good game design IMO. I'm not sure if it would've fit thematically, as Hush wanted to in "hush hush", as his name implies. He didn't want nor need thugs. He wanted to waltz in there and steal everything Brue stands for. So while I like it gameplay wise, I'm not sure I like it thematically, AT LEAST in the context of how the mission was presented in the game. Because, let's be real here for a second, this was a major disappointment. I remember all the easter eggs and speculation about Hush and Scarecrow. Nothing. If the Hush's story had been expanded and different, thugs and your "detective bossfight" would've fit quite well, I believe.
iWillWakeYouUp Thank you, I think you are quite right about Hush's personality, but the thing is, the city is abandoned. I doubt he would care about being incredibly sneaky, other than the infiltration. I would assume he would do what he did and then radio his men to come in and plant the explosives, for leverage.

Honestly I was disappointed about not having a hand to hand combat with Arkham Knight, Hush, and Deathstroke.
I was truly disappointed when I was facing Deathstroke, it was just the Batmobile vs the tank all over again.
Honestly Origins had the better boss fights, hopefully rocksteady will do something about when they are making new side missions with the season pass.

I know Lucius locked Hush in Wayne Enterprise somewhere. But why? I know he found out that Bruce Wayne was Batman but the whole city eventually found out. I wish we could visit Hush and listen to him taunt Batman. He appeared for like 2 minutes or less.

That was one of my main problems, one of my favourite parts of the game was talking with the criminals locked in the GCPD after catching them, it was a shame we couldn't do that with Hush too.

ShinobiNintendo Well, Hush must've prepared for this night for weeks, if not for months. Scarecrow probably told him about his plans for Gotham during Arkham City, when Hush reconstructed Scarecrow's face. Hush is out only to hurt Bruce, not bring down Batman, that's why they part ways after Arkham City. It was a temporary alliance as both had something to gain out of it. Hush heard from Crane that during this night, Gotham would be evacuated, empty, and the police wouldn't be able to stop him. Not only that, but nobody would care, and even Batman would probably be way too busy to stop something as insignificant as some guy stealing money from a rich dude without really hurting anyone (well, if we count out the horrendous murders Hush commited during Arkham City :D ). So I imagine Hush bein in the building complex, waiting for the right moment. I don't think he'd care to watch TV. So to me, it's quite believable that Hush doesn't know the big secret.

Hush was treated so poorly in this game. It's obvious Paul Dini had bigger plans for him in Arkham Knight, but the idea got scrapped when Rocksteady gave him the boot. So much buildup in that side-mission in Arkham City, all for like 30 seconds of dialogue and a quick-time event. Such a disappointment.

Honestly, really would have liked Hush to have a bigger role in Arkham Knight, i mean imo i think he could have been the Arkham Knight because in Arkham City knowing everything about Bruce Wayne he could have just gotten someone to make him a suit and then get training I mean all that stuff in Arkham City that we did just to find Hush's hideout and then they basically did the same thing agiain in AK just instead of it being Hush it was Pyg... Honestly Hush has just been ignored in this game tbh i would have waited another month or two for this game to come out just to have Hush have a bigger role in this game..
I have to agree with you. Especially if Hush was the Arkham Knight, rather than Jason Todd. It would've made a lot more sense. All the Easter Eggs in Arkham City, clues that Hush and Scarecrow would be working together should've been the main priority to making the next game, rather than completely changing it. Even though it would've been obvious, it still would've turned out to be such a twist, and yet again, a sensible plot. The identity-theft(Hush)being the Arkham Knight, since he's impersonating Bruce Wayne.

+Bryan Leong yah I think it works generally down to performance from the actors but I think the reason why most of us are whining and bitching about the Arkam Knights identity is because the advertisement promised it would be somebody original. I'm sure most comic book fans suspected who the Arkam Knight was but when he was revealed to me, I was shocked mainly because I was a new comer to the Batman lore and Arkam series.
But the thing is that Hush didn't know that Bruce was Batman. Also Bruce spent his whole life training to be protector of Gotham/Batman. And if Hush was given so little time to train as being a mock of Batman, he'd be a really bad one! Lol!
... And if Hush knew Batman was Bruce, he would of wanted to finish him of in Arkham City.

Things that don't make sense with this mission:
1) At the end of the Arkham City, Batman says he'll track down Hush 'tomorrow'. Well he clearly didn't. Why not?
2) Why didn't Batman tell Alfred Hush looks like Bruce Wayne? Seems pretty important!
3) There's a 9 month gap between AC and AK. What did Hush do in that time? Why wait now?
4) Why would Hush just transfer Bruce Wayne's money to himself? He doesn't need it. Surely he'd want to attack Wayne on a more emotional level, like ruining friendships.
5) Was Hush not working with Scarecrow? Who else reconstructed Crane's face? Why else was there a fear toxin canister in Hush's house?
I think all those questions could of been answered if paul dini worked on the story for this game lol

The voice acting is top notch. Hush was just different enough in multiple ways.
I like how Batman still says "Bruce Wayne" when he's talking to Alfred, Bruce's butler, who says that Hush and "him" used to be inseparable, RIGHT IN FRONT OF LUCIUS' PA.

Ok what happened to Hush after ending? Pretty sure Bruce couldn't come as himself to set him in jail.
How could he after revealing his identity to Elliot? I don't think this was calculated; this was a last-ditch effort to save Fox because he couldn't trust Tommy to keep Lucius hostage for Bruce Wayne to believably make an appearance without Batman present. Elliot is too smart to not put two and two together; hell his voice SOUNDS like Batman's, only a few octaves higher. I'm glad Conroy refined the Bruce Wayne voice from the original dumb schmuck tone he originally used in the 90s. That sounded too phoney for words. Or (getting back to Bruce's rationale) maybe he just decided it was more badass and a shock factor that would unnerve Hush enough to disarm and take him down.

To appriciate Kevin Conroy's art at voice acting, let me just mention that he voice both Batman & Hush (Thomas Eliot)...
When Hush enters as Bruce Wayne, you can walk behind the secretary's desk and see that there are a few emails to Mr. Fox on the monitor. These messages are gone when Batman enters later and the office has been trashed. Unfortunately, I can't make out the rest of the message on my Xbox. Maybe ***** can read the messages on PC?
Of all the things that pissed me off in this game... their mistreatment of Hush was the worst.
Can't forget EVERYONE was excited to actually have a good decent mission for deathstroke... instead just another tank fight. *sigh* Rocksteady if you ever make another batman game make it where 1. Joker isn't the "boss of the game" 2. get a good villain plot like Scarecrow, Killer croc or a different cool villain. 3. don't let the fans down with the side missions for fan favorite characters. I mean seriously Deathstrokes in Arkham city an knight is just bad in arkham city you just play the game then look at a dead body and wait for the next one... they should have made I tto where it was like the mr freee boss fight in AC and in AK its basically just a lame tank fight... One thing that made me mad about arkham city is that I thought I would actually go up against Hugo Strange as the main villain not beat him up to stop villians from dying and I thought the build up for fighting was very hype but the payout was njust disappointing I mean yay you stopped him and he died anyways by Ra's then I thought to yself Is that the end of the game the tower exploding? nope you forgot about joker didn't you well here is fight the fake version of joker then fiht the real one! Death Lock I actually thought that what happened to Deathstroke was quite funny. He comes in all high and mighty and all show-offy and then Batman just takes him out with a slam round. He could have fought him one on one, but he was so done with the night that he couldn't be bothered to take anymore shit.
@@silasbeck5622 what are you talking about asylum had by far the worst story, simply because there was no story...the game was basically joker fools batman and traps him inside Arkham and all supervillains inside Arkham try to kill him. City by far had the better story with the main plot focussing on finding out what is protocol 10 and how hugo strange knows who you are and joker doing what he does best, ie being an agent of chaos for batman, the twists are also brilliantly done, with the league of shadows being the mastermind behind protocol 10 and the game gives you enough hints tomake this twist have sufficient impact,especially if you know what ra's is like..and joker was also far better in this game, being he never fought batman, it was always clayface, and again the game gives you enough clue to figure it out before time if you pay attention,joker in city was more of a huge threat than a final boss, and his death was written perfectly
Hush is barely in this game. Same thing with Two-Face. Same thing with Penguin. Same thing with Slade. Same thing with Harley. Same thing with the Arkham Knight :/ Characters really don't have much importance in this game. At least things were handled better in Arkham City.

I really like this mission,dialogue is stunning, it was so confusing when I was Bruce Wayne then when he smashed Lucius's head I was shocked, it was epic to be honest. Deathstroke is the only bad thing about this game.
Literally the one thing I don't like is that it ended too soon. It was really disappointing for that reason, but if they extended it while keeping all they did already, it wouldn't have been disappointing. Hush was a great villain in what we got, and not only is the dialogue excellent, but Conroy's acting, as well. I really miss him, and this scene shows just how good of an actor he really was imo

It was nice that Thomas Elliot aka Hush finally got some recognition in his own movie. Unlike other villains, Hush is one of the few who have a personal connection to Bruce.
Lucius threw him off the building when no one was looking.
I love how they handled Hush in this game. After such a long hiatus from Arkham City I had forgotten about him. I thought I was controlling Bruce Wayne when he entered the office and attacked Lucius and I was dumbstruck. Then when Batman came up the elevator I realized what was going on.
+TheSmud0 They should have had Hush working with Scarecrow and Jason as the third villain which would also have been a callback to the Hush comic storyline when he worked with Scarecrow and Riddler.

@@Xehanort10 Exactly , first we have hush and scarecrow , they team-up against batman , hush knows Batman is Bruce Wayne , he knows Oracle , Alfred and Lucious Fox. He wants bruce to get in a hard situation , so Hush goes to clock tower and tries to turn on barbara and abduct her. He also goes Wayne manor , attacks Lucious and steals Bruce's money , he also beat catwoman up. But We players play these parts , so we think there is something wrong with Batman. Bruce's mind is also messed up with fear toxin , so when Barbara was abducted , batman hallucinate death of jason todd. Batman will find out Hush is the problem , First he takes out Crane then Hush but suddenly militia groups came to gotham , and we saw arkham knight. LoL , that would be awesome.

Does anyone else really dislike the fact that people know Batman's identity now? Even if its the last game the idea of it doesn't sit well with me.
Batman would never let that happen, he would have worn a disguise or sent a decoy like he did in endgame. Plus wouldn't he have a cowl protection thing to were only he could take off his mask

+Black Liquorice Batman doesn't know everything and he can be beaten. Scarecrow had Robin and Gordon hostage and would have killed them if Bruce hadn't given himself up.
I hated this mission so goddamned much. So much build up in Arkham City, and it pays off in what's basically a QTE cutscene. Rocksteady didn't just drop this ball, they forgot to bring it at all.

Lucius' comment at the end does somewhat justify how Hush's big build up in City is a letdown in Knight: people do spend a lot of time planning and setting up a grand scheme to take some delusional idea of revenge, only for it to quickly fail because the plan was dreamt up by a nutcase having a power fantasy with little basis in reality. Joker and Scarecrow have super plot armour which doesn't happen in reality.

When we figure this guy out in Arkham city I assumed this game would allow us to play a much longer side mission, cuz he says after that Arkham side quest he’ll hunt him down tmr. It would’ve been cool to see what Hush could’ve attempted to do to ruin Wayne while still being disguised as him, like maybe helping fund the Arkham knight with all his tanks and shit

It works a lot better before Batman's identity is revealed as Bruce to the world. I know they try to explain that Lucius, Tommy, and the woman at the desk hadn't seen the news yet, but it just doesn't quite work on how they didn't see the news during that time.

Here's my idea for what this should've been: have Hush be the Arkham Knight. The two fight, Batman pulls off the mask, only to finding Bruce Wayne behind it, laughing like an evil mastermind. According to the "Knight", he's actually a split personality Batman created so he'd have an archenemy after Joker. All the times others heard his voice while Batman was nearby was a sophisticated computer system designed to create the illusion that the two are different people. Batman is shocked so much that he believes it, but after he finds Gordon, Gordon proves that the Knight actually is a different person, who reveals himself to be Hush. Thoughts?

That sounds awesome! If they wanted to have Jason Todd/Red Hood in the game, he should have been the one behind the scenes.
Or give Hood his own side mission where he and Batman are hunting Black Mask, but Hood's violence and gunplay cause the two to argue and Batman to have to choose where to take Hood in

1. Hush & Bruce Both Do indeed seem identical but you can see scars on tommy's face.
2. Hush's suit has a more crumbled texture with a tie/Bruce's suit is rather more clean than hush's with a green tie.
What? Why do people hate this mission? Batman revealing that he is bruce wayne to the man asking for bruce wayne must've been so goddamn intimidating.
Never knew Kevin Conroy could play the serial killer as much as we all know he does Batman. Yeah already played the part in Arkham City. ;)

@French Bryan how is it our fault, most of the criticisms is because of poor execution of great ideas...example death stroke...origins already did a great boss battle, if you can't top it don't include him in the gave, why make the game so reliant on bat tank, things like that don't make sense
