Cruises are amazing because even being underpaid in Australia you can still save enough to be able to enjoy yourself at the end of the year and do the things alot of people think you can't just because you have very little money.

Hi, we’ve been to isle of pines a couple of times and am interested in doing what you guys did there. Hiring a van and driving to natural aquarium. How did you organise this? How much did it cost? Did you get a map to show you the way? We are going on the splendour in June 2020

Thank you so much! At Noumea we just bought tickets for the red bus at the terminal where the shuttle busses take you once you get off the ship! I'm not entirely sure what the company is called, but there were a few different companies that did the same thing so you will easily find it at the terminal. It was a 1 and a half hour city tour :) We love Noumea! After the tour we went on the hop on hop off bus to Lemon Beach for a beautiful swim!

Thank you so much! I had an incredible time! We organised them once we got to shore. In Noumea, we just did the hop on hop off bus which took us to the beach, and a 1 and a half hour city tour. At the terminal where the shuttles from the ship take you; there are heaps of tour operators there. At Lifou we just did our own thing, we found the cave etc. when we were there and just payed the locals a small amount to enter. At Isle of pines we hired a van which we booked beforehand and then drove to the natural aquarium and the caves and just did our own thing. Mare, we just bought tickets for the bus to take us to the beach! Hope that helps!
Hello! Have a wonderful time! On top of the cruise cost - the main costs are alcohol , specialty restaurants , port tours , souvenirs. You don’t have to spend much but it can add up if you go on lots of port tours It really depends on how many people, how much alcohol you drink and how long the cruise is. Probably $1000 per person would be enough. For four of us we usually spend less than $2000 for a week. I hope that helps!

they hurt so much! I got stung a few times because I didn't want to miss out on a swim at the gorgeous island hehe!
