Layering Vroid Clothes in Blender!

  • I tried to make a text tutorial for this, but people told me they were confused. Basically, this is how to use more than one clothes mesh/item on a model, without having to use the the VearDresser App which breaks the armature. Using this method you don't break your armature.
    1. I am not a Blender master, this is just how it works and so I tried to explain it the best of my ability.
    2. I am very mic-shy and socially awkward, please bear with me.
    3. EDIT: Apparently I yelled in this video which I thought it was just my headset being sensitive, but an IRL friend decided to tell me just today that I do it IRL and it's an autism thing (which I do have) that I never noticed I do. So... I apologize completely for anyone that has to put up with me yelling into my headset.
If you have any questions if I went too fast or anything, please ask them below and I will try to answer or do a follow up video...
If this just sucks. I'm sorry. I tried.

This was a great tutorial. Thank you.
Also, your voice has a like casual, but knowledgeable / authoritative nature to it that's kind of perfect for this.

I wouldn't have known you have tutorial anxiety until you told us. As far as voice loudness. it's a mic playing through a computer into speakers or headsets. People can adjust, dont worry about that. .... butttttt you might want to set a limit on max audio, so even if you're shouting, you wont cause us to say RIP earbud users.
No worries on speaking too fast either, people can legit just rewind.
Gott damned you made a shit ton of Code Lyoko AMVs lmao!

This is really helpful, thank you so much for posting! Would you happen to know what to do with the file so it actually shows up in the vroid program? Every time I try to import it back I get error messages for some reason

I don't know how to use blender and i'm trying to improve upon my models, I found this tutorial to help me make layored clothing and i understood what to do until we got onto blender, I don't know the keybindings so i don't know how to select anything and i have a model that has 3-ish clothing layers, how do i do that?
    1. A Blouse with a collar
    2. A jacket without sleeves
    3. Fluff from the jacket
I'm not sure how i'd to the fluff and how i'd add it onto the jacket,Could you help me?

this sounds like to much work wouldnt it be easier to export the base model with absolutetly no cloth and the used the blender built in cloth simulator to create the cloth you want ?

First of all, rude. I didn't say this was the defacto way. This was just what I figured out experimenting. You want to do it another way? Be my guest.. But complaints of too much work is rude. I simply made the tutorial because people asked.

@@PinkHairedCoder how is their comment rude? They are being honest that yes it would be easier to export the base. It is not your fault that this method is too much work and no one is blaming you for it so calm down. It would be easier the way they said but theres pros and cons for both, i.e., you have to make the clothes yourself
