Maybe it is better to compare it to VRS 20NM or the convertable VRS from 6NM up to 20NM. Whether there are differences with the detail of FFB on the new VRS or old VRS.
That's what I'm interested in knowing. As an early adopter of the VRS DFP is there any real need to upgrade to one of these new bases or would I just be benefiting from now having an all in one packaging solution for the base.
So I know third parties will review the wheelbase and I am sure comparisons will be done. If you have the DFP20, no need to upgrade or change. You will be able to purchase QR connect adapter for cableless wheels. I would say wait for third party reviews to get more feedback.
The combination of that base and the new R295 wheel looks like a great option. I’m in the process of deciding where to put my money and this is 100% a contender. Is there a time frame on 3rd party reviewers getting hands on with it? Great vid and channel, thanks man.
Thx for the feedback. VRS is actually working on that now. Partnering with reviewers to get the word out. I would say you should start saying stuff in the next month or so. Just depends on the reviewers schedules.
Bought some VRS pedals 6 months ago, Absolutely second to none in my view. Have had my eye on the 15Nm wheel and base, finally starting to see it out and about. Would definately be up there in a future purchase. Have been very impressed with the VRS quality and reliability by all reports. great bang for buck!
I think that vibrations from the FFB should be isolated from the electronics, (as in the original external Control Box) and the interconnects need to be heavy duty circular connectors with extra cable shielding. Most users don't use the switch on the control box anyway, so although it appears like a nice revamp of the product, I see it as a downgrade for reliability and performance stability.
Gotcha, didnt think of it that way. Since almost every wheelbase has the control box included onto the wheelbase. So do you think all of the wheelbases should have them on the outside?
I cannot say if there will be. I think it's more likely that if they were to make another it would likely be more entry level. 8-10 would be my guess but I have no idea.
I somehow don't trust vrs. I bought the base in October. It constantly vibrates when idle. When writing to support they claim that it is a software defect but my colleagues do not have anything like that. They wrote that during driving you do not feel these inertia shocks unfortunately you can feel them clearly and they are bothersome and the company did not exchange my base for another one.
Sorry to hear that. I had the ticking and the oscillations but after updating the software and playing around with my settings it completely went away. I used to get random ticks durng idle as well and now I no longer have them. If you want to try one of my setups and see if it still happens, I would be more that happy to share.
A lot more cleaner. I love it when companies keep updating their products. Kudos to VRS
For sure. Now is the time for change. 2025 starting out well.
That QR looks familiar! 😝
It surely does. Lol

That would be an interesting review

Great video. Keep it up, looking forward to seeing more content from you.
Thx mate, I appreciate it. I have lots more on the way.

Agreed. I think this is the refresh that VRS needed. DFP20 is great but is large. This is a seeker design and the future looks bright.
Thank you. A lot of great information. I think I know which way I am going to go now.
Glad it was helpful! I think you'll be happy with it.
Active qr needs to be gold standard from new wheelbases. Well done VRS! Does VRS have telemetry based ffb?
Yes. Cableless design is always the best. This uses the same FFB as the DFP20 and is smooth, and crisp.

It looks so much better without the the power line running to the light pole out side. 😊 so much cleaner
I agree. Much cleaner setup for sure. :)🤣🤣🤣
Nothing wrong with cables works fine.
I agree bibhave the DFP20 and DFP15. New design adds simplicity and ease of use for those in smaller spaces or smaller rigs.
Regarding ffb, is it better or worse than 20nm old vrs dd?
I feel like it is smooth, responsive and feels good. I love both my bases. I would say tho, VRS reviews will be out soon.
Will there be any 25 or 20nm version of this base?
I cannot say if there will be. I think it's more likely that if they were to make another it would likely be more entry level. 8-10 would be my guess but I have no idea.
