I had to have cataract surgery with artificial lens implants when i was 8 yrs old. It's great that this is coming to the light.
23 years later and I'm still struggling on a huge level with depression, anxiety and self worth. My mind tricks me into thinking that I'm useless cause I'm so dependent on everyone around me to even FIND anything. My life has been hell cause of the lack of support and understanding for what goes on in our minds.
We fight every day. Thank you for what you're doing.

I am legally blind and wheelchair mobile. I am finding very little support for those of us living with the intersectionality of multiple disabilities. Do you have any suggestions? (and thank you so much for sharing your story:not just with others in the community, but with providers.. Because of the way that some of us present ~well educated etc.~we do not get the mental health treatment that we need!) Thank you again for your transparency.
