Karl being so content in the cave is one of my favourite moments of the entire series. All most of us want is somewhere comfortable to sleep, with no noise or distractions
My Mum loved Acker Bilk, he performed at the shopping centre in Burnley (my hometown) in the 80s. He was promoting his album, my Mum and I met him and she got her album signed. ✌️🏴🇬🇧
"If you're getting road rage at this there's something wrong with you". Every Brit thinking exactly how Karl reacted, this would definatly give me road rage 😆
I went to Bethlehem in 1977, as part of a school cruise (SS Uganda). When we got there we were told that a bomb went off in the town square the day before and killed 10 people. "Don't worry," the guide said, "It will not happen two days in a row." That put our minds at rest.
At the end of each of the series, they do a "karl comes home" episode. They all talk about how it was and what he did etc, and you hear extra bits as well that are going to show in full just how the legendary Karl brain works.
Maybe its just English humour but Karl getting kidnapped is diabolically hilarious. 'i dont even know me mum and dads number!!' im dead 💀 8:00 the more you watch Karl the funnier he gets
I don't think it was good because it was so fake. I'm convinced Karl knew because he was able to joke and say that. Of all the episodes I hated this part most because it wasnt just fake but it was stupid. And it was stupid because it was fake.
Karl's reaction to the wall was so real, so true and kinds beautiful. I love how you touched on religion in this episode. you never know how the public or your viewers will respond to you talking about religion so it's wonderful you had such an open conversation and didn't shy away from it.
I'm not going on a camel again, I'm not going on a camel again,I'm not going on a camel again, I'm not going on a camel again 😄😄😄 Carl was like a kid that won't eat his veg
I would absolutely despise that dancing van, being in it, or stuck near it in traffic. I think most British people would hate that to be perfectly honest, it's very antithetical to the stereotypical British reserve.
@7991smynotrm awww so true, we've hearts of gold as a rule but it is what it says on the tin with us yeah 😅🥰 much love to yer and all the best for crimbo and the new year ❤
It’s so much fun watching your reactions to Karl and this episode, I’m loving this to bits , thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your reactions , god bless Michael from Cornwall xxx
Carl kept his cool when kidnapped. He didn't know numbers and what not, but no hysteric crying or whatever. He was talking, understanding, pretty impressive I think. He must have bin under a lot of stress. Respect to Carl!
when i was in Tunisia i saw out of the car an arab riding his camel down a dried river with the full kit on wow he was a proud individual sat upright i was impressed
In Petra they had areas in the canyons closed off and had chiseled grooves water would run down and collect in those ginormous cisterns/ dams so that they could grow their own food and have this hidden city that unless you knew it was there would be invisible. Also the narrow entrances were easily defensible.
Being from England I have seen this series so many times. Getting to watch your reaction to it for the first time makes me want to watch it all again. I have liked and subscribed, keep up the good work 👍
Stranger on the Shore, famous music by jazz saxophonist Acker Bilk from the 1960's and then much later a heart breaking video about a family dumping their dog and changing their mind.
I’ve lived in Jordan for the past 15 years. It’s a wonderful country with a very welcoming population. Every country has it’s problems, but Jordan is like an oasis in a troubled region
I took an ex's 4 year old to school one morning, the whole 15 minute walk she repeated "...but I don't want to go to school"" in exactly the same tone of voice as Karl and his camel. That was a fun video to show her mum 😁
The "Wailing Wall" is the last remnant of a wall, built in Jerusalem around 200 BC by Herod on the site of the destroyed Great Temple, that was built around 957 BC. It's name is due to the lament of the loss of the temple. They are praying. The notes are also prayers. (Well, some people do stuff crap in there, because...idiots).
Can I beg you to make time to react to one particular play before XMAS. It's Peter Pan goes wrong dated from 2016...., you will love it it's a pantomime disaster yet one of the funniest things you'll ever see.
Church of the nativity is so beautiful and the door entrances really are small like 5ft or something maybe and it has a presence about about the holy land in both Jerusalem and in Palestine which is beautiful I would recommend it to anyone when it’s calm again
Hi Mike & Jess, the music Jess liked was a popular tune from the 60s "Strangers on the Shore" by clarinetist & jazz band leader Aker Bilk, followed by the theme tune to Karlence of Arabia
KP is spot on re looking at the wonder, not being IN the wonder - we put up Christmas decorations, but I’m glad others do too as I want to see some 24/7!
An entirely valid point. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and my kitchen bench window overlooks the beautiful large garden of a hundred year old 2 story house. I got the advantages without the cost
Hi Mike and Jess loving the content just a note to Jess if she’s interested the song that she liked the coral was listening to the saxophonist is a guy called Acker Bilk. He was a favourite of my mum‘s. He used to play at our local theatre quite often and this song is titledstranger on the shore hope this helps if she’s interested in getting a copy from somewhere love the show, keep up the great work kindest regards, Chris.
I'm glad you have just discovered Karl and the gang. 20 years late. But never too late... looking forward to seeing your journey over the next few months. XFM radio shows shd be first tho!!
Not Jewish but one of my favourite cruises was a visit to Israel including Jerusalem and Bethlehem and would love to return . Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall, because it is considered the last remaining wall of the Second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, a site of immense religious significance where Jews believe the divine presence is particularly close, allowing them to express their prayers and lament the destruction of the Temple with a deep sense of connection to their history and faith; they often leave written prayers tucked into the cracks of the wall as a practice signifying this connection
You not the first American that I watched react to idiot abroad but I got to say you the best so keep up the good work I love the vibe of you two ❤ at the end of the season they do a karl comes home
Karl being so content in the cave is one of my favourite moments of the entire series. All most of us want is somewhere comfortable to sleep, with no noise or distractions
Absolutely, I'm with you and him 100% on that.
Same. The place even comes with an optional cat. Win win.
Like contestants in shows like Naked & Afraid or "Alone" 😄
Well Ricky and Steve always said karl was a caveman.
Just warm and well rested for a night. He's always getting ragged around so that peacefulness and just seeing a beautiful monument.
The beautiful Clarinet of Acker Bilk.
This particular didy is .
"Stranger on the shore" Wonderful.
Beautiful song
First British song and artist to top the US charts. Number one in UK and US at the same time.
My Mum loved Acker Bilk, he performed at the shopping centre in Burnley (my hometown) in the 80s. He was promoting his album, my Mum and I met him and she got her album signed.

Karl: 50% deep philosopher, and 50% mild mental ret*rdation!😂 I absolutely love this guy and the fact that you're covering the series.
Thank you so much for putting the full episode up. Haven't seen it for years!
35.50 camels “ ships of the desert “ And I got the Titanic ! 😂 Karl is the Goat 😂❤️🏴
34:42
To the theme tune from Lawrence of Arabia 😂
Fucking legend 😂
don't normally watch a lot of reaction videos but yours are good stuff, keep up the good work.
"If you're getting road rage at this there's something wrong with you". Every Brit thinking exactly how Karl reacted, this would definatly give me road rage 😆
Get out the fucking road 😂
especially those from London. I'd lose my mind
Not only the UK. That's fully idiotic. Karl is right once again
“Is it safe?”
“Yes. I have insurance”
Me: “that’s not the f***ing question he asked” 😂
I love that Ricky's cave idea backfired and Karl actually enjoyed it. :D
It didnt backfire...how do you think he got something nice to eat, beer and a cozy nights sleep😊
Ha! You two were so shocked at the 'extreme scenario training' part that you both missed, "I don't even know my mum and dad's number!" 😂
music is acker bilk, strangers on the shore :)
It was the theme music to a British 1960s TV drama series.
@@digidol52 and it topped the Billboard chart in the USA !
I thought everyone would know that.
The music he was listening to (Acker Bilk Stranger on the Shore) made #1 in the UK and US in 1961
It's also really popular at funerals, least in the UK.
Jess and Elvis sitting in a tree....... K I. S. S. I. N. G 🤣🤣🤣
Thoroughly enjoying you watch our comedy. Karl is genius.
There's so many British comedy for you both to watch, you'll never be bored again.
I went to Bethlehem in 1977, as part of a school cruise (SS Uganda). When we got there we were told that a bomb went off in the town square the day before and killed 10 people. "Don't worry," the guide said, "It will not happen two days in a row." That put our minds at rest.
😂😂😂
My dad always said if you're flying somewhere you should take your own bomb, because what are the chances of there being two bombs on the same plane?!
At the end of each of the series, they do a "karl comes home" episode. They all talk about how it was and what he did etc, and you hear extra bits as well that are going to show in full just how the legendary Karl brain works.
Congress tart
And at the end he dies .
I'm so glad you found this series.
I've not watched this for years and it's even more funny watching along with yourselves. 😊
Maybe its just English humour but Karl getting kidnapped is diabolically hilarious. 'i dont even know me mum and dads number!!' im dead 💀 8:00 the more you watch Karl the funnier he gets
He was just so chill. He wasn’t “expecting it”, but really, he was. He knew this place was dodgy. And he dealt with it like a veteran.
I don't think it was good because it was so fake. I'm convinced Karl knew because he was able to joke and say that. Of all the episodes I hated this part most because it wasnt just fake but it was stupid. And it was stupid because it was fake.
Peed myself
@NoVerges i would've said the same ss him. Ive an autistic streak and relate to him a lot. Time to reassess your judgement
@@NoVerges A bunch of yids dressed up as a-rabs, cosplay at its finest
The simplicity of Karls mind is so refreshing in this troubled world

the look on your guys faces when he said israel 🤣 it was like watching the ball inside karls head get stuck in a corner 😆
😅😅
I have watched these SO MANY TIMES yet I still love to watch them. They never get old.
I'm not going on a camel again, I'm not going on a camel again,I'm not going on a camel again, I'm not going on a camel again 😄😄😄 Carl was like a kid that won't eat his veg
Haha so true
Karl’s superhero idea, b@llsh1t man is one of the best bits I’ve ever heard.
The music when the camels were in the truck is the theme tune from the epic film "Laurence of Arabia" by Maurice Jarre.
the music Karl played was Acker Bilk 'stranger on the shore'
My wife and I have been so eagerly awaiting more An Idiot Abroad content 🙏🏼 thanks for taking the time to react to the longer format
I love when he's trying to bring the flute inside. Haha
I would absolutely despise that dancing van, being in it, or stuck near it in traffic. I think most British people would hate that to be perfectly honest, it's very antithetical to the stereotypical British reserve.
No need for climate protesters blocking the road, with the dancing van around.
Idk, maybe after a skin full!
@@WilfChadwick I'll give you that, but then you shouldn't be driving either :P

“I’m not getting in a camel again” in 5 different tones.., and MJ said KP wouldn’t refuse things! He is the SQUOZEN ONE, remember that!
‘Camels are called the ships of the desert - we ended up with the titanic’ , great line.

You must be muslim then

How does Jordan remain peaceful?
I’ve had the worst day!! This made it better! Keep doing Karl 😂love him and both your reactions 🥰
At the end of this season he ask for a small companion to travel with. Like Christopher columbus had a cat. I can't wait for you guys to see it 😆
Sending Karl to Israel first to make things much more difficult for him!
Music was by Acker Bilk, real name Bernard Stanley, an English clarinettist. Be a good reaction video tbh 😊
I never knew that was his real name!😊
Been waiting for this to drop .
Enjoying your guys reactions. Keep them coming. All the way from the UK 🇬🇧

Aker Bilk - Stranger on the Shore was the song during the desert/camel trip. It was used in the 1979 movie The Wanderers.
The music is Stranger On The Shore by Acker Bilk - very big in the UK in the '50s and '60s
