- Ian Hislop is joined by Harry Enfield, Jan Ravens and Lewis Macleod to bring the Private Eye annual 2024 (available in shops now. Ed.) to the stage. Featuring EJ Thribb, Sir Herbert Gussett, St. Paula and Keir Starmer's leaked WhatsApp group!
Be upstanding for the journalists of Private Eye who championed the Post Office scandal from the start.
Not to denigrate the P.E team but Computer Weekly were first to raise the issue.
@@joehiggs100: As the good people of Private Eye will always be the first to remind people. But that doesn’t lesson either contribution.
Here here.
And the Archbishop scandal
I love how at least 2/3s of the Johnson impression are just noises and it's 100% accurate xD
A breath of light in dismal times…
Brilliant! 👍
Utterly priceless. As ever.
One of my highlights of the year. Ian HIslop is a national treasure.
Lewis Macleod is fantastic.
Elon Musk: Love-child of Ayn Rand and P.W.Botha.
This is genius 🎉😂❤
😂
Amazing imitation of Musk’s voice
👍😆👍
💯❤
I look forword to another brilliant year of the Eye.
Brilliant; loved it!
top notch as always
i was just thinking about this last night and hoping it would be released soon, thank you PE team
My favourite time of the year!
Wonderful, thank you to all involved, wishing all a happy Christmas
Thank you all, my year is complete.
Super as always
Just effing brilliant as always.
Glorious!
can't wait to watch this!!!
Wonderful! Thank you.
Lewis Macleod made the whole evening
Great as always. Hope Ian is ok after his accident.
I love how they take different parts of the organ. Their podcast is also excellent, brilliant journalism. 🎉❤😂
I need to get to one of these annual review's live one of these years
A tour de force as ever.
Thank you!
Loved The Chase send up section because it is exactly like that! One gripe though. The "British" Mountaineer was a "New Zealander".
A joy to attend and thoroughly enjoyable.
An hour spent laughing hard here in Poland! What a shame I can't subscribe to timely satire 😞

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . it is in in some libraries in Poland

@@Jack-l2x5b Arrives a week and half too late for the jokes to be topical. I'd happily pay a subscription for access to .pdfs on the day it comes out.
Use a VPN. There are free versions available.
@@MichaelDembinski I'm pretty sure they have a digital version
@@Crispman_777 Private Eye doesn't have a full online version. You have to buy the printed edition
That was brilliant. Thank you so much. Here in the colonies it's lovely to get notes, queries and letters from "home".
I love this show - one of the high points of a fairly depressing year - a great fixture, RIP the magical John Sessions who was part of the cast in years gone by.
This is a highlight of the year for me. Thank you, Private Eye.
Do not listen to this while driving 🤣, especially Jaberwocky
Fantastic. All great, the Ian McKellen at the end was spot-on.
I was there!
hilarious. the eye remains an absolute necessity
I so remember the glory days of punk rock when Robert Maxwell was managing Sex Pistols
Thank you. One of the best.
This and the 2024 annual complete the subscription perfectly. Harry Enfield bringing out E.J. "Kevin" Thribb was one of the highlights for me, along with Lewis's impressions-that guy is fantastic!
Clap 👏
Brilliant stuff
Quality and quantity. A massive thank you.
the best bit of December - brilliant - thank you
44:45 That joke made me spit out my ale
Yayyyyyyy, 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Please do the decades long ME/CFS scandal next. Now featuring Long Covid… get Wessely et al out if healthcare for gods sake.
this has become as yearly a must, as joules holland's hootenanny, . . for me. so that's just to two then.
Bloody Brilliant 😂
So Private Eye actually did discover that Labour are in power.
I look forward to this all year! If only Charlie Brooker would stop messing about with Netflix and bring back his annual "Wipes" then the festive season would be complete!
Jan really nailed Truss 👍
Stomach-jiggling laughs!
How do you get tickets to see this live I have watched this on TH-cam for the last few years no I feel I need to be part of the London glitterati and see it in person.
Wonderful -- you have to laugh.
But then you have to be philosophical ...
And not think about it.
That musk impression is absolutely awful
Why didn't Jan Raven's keep quiet when she wasn't performing? Her loud laughter was terribly disruptive?
9 52 absolutely brilliant thx
I find it impossible to laugh at people turning the Post Office Scandal into a comedy sketch. Innocent people committed suicide, FGS.
Fair play to the Eye for doggedly pursuing the truth, but it's still no laughing matter - the victims haven't even received their compensation yet.
😂
So good I cancelled my unsubscription.
Lesotho is pronounced Lesuetho
Thank goodness it's Lewis Macleod and not the appalling John Culshaw. The latter's voice is always there in any impression he attempts. A nice man but a poor impressionist.
Sorry, but this gets less funny with each passing year. I suppose all talent becomes dated.
Hmm... this first Notes and Queries thing seems to be lifted word-for-word (apparently) from the latest issue. Much as I like both Harry E and Jan R, I'm not entirely sure this is gonna be worth watching ... for an HOUR.
