She was outclassed anyway. The only one's who'd n would've last passed season 10+ would be Christina n Petrozza. Christina by season 14 already was far greater than what she was when she won in season 4 meanwhile Jen regressed especially her attitude n ofc sadly petrozza passed away...

I think he only couldn’t hack it *on Hell’s Kitchen,* not necessarily in the fine dining industry in general. Other chefs have spoken out about how unrealistic an environment Hell’s Kitchen is compared to real-life restaurants, even in haute cuisine. You don’t have silly challenges and punishments and drama with your coworkers (well, not same kind of drama, anyway) to sap your energy; you’re not cut off from your loved ones and the rest of the outside world; and you don’t usually have a chef as enraged as Ramsay hollering a torrent of verbal abuse in your face over the slightest mistake. It’s a stressful occupation, but not on the same level or in the same ways as HK. I bet Peter’s doing just fine wherever he is now.
@@WestIndianAKby the same token RAW food and mistakes of that magnitude would get you instantly fired from any good restaurant. I have 0 idea about the industry but i am SURE that most of this mistakes are ,,fatal" for well established restaurants image.
@@noobmaster9644 mistakes happen in any field of business. During my time in fine dining there wasn’t blowups like HK but returned food was not uncommon. I seen chefs eat undercooked noodles that have been returned since they do not want to waste food.
Imagine if all 10 of these chefs were on one team. They'd all be kicked out before dinner service ends.

Most of the chefs amongst the 11 ousted, absolutely would be kicked out again. IMO, Nilka is the only one on the list that likely wouldn't get kicked out again. Here's why. She was a solid chef that just had a terrible night on the fish station.

At least Peter - the last chef in the video, had the decency to admit that he is lacking straight into GR's face. That's a good spine over there. I hope the guy is well.

Peter is the type of guy that I would want to see in a comeback season. Not only did he accepted his faith but he went down with respect. He knew his limits and didn't waste any of Gordon's time. Gordon didn't even get mad because he probably saw that Peter was not there to fake it. Mad respect to Peter.
I actually respect Ramsay for not just screaming at Josh to get back out when he came down, but actually speaking to the man (reasonably) calmly.
Ramsay really goes off on the contestants who he feels are not living up to their full potential or are lying to him.... Josh really was doing the best he could do, but just couldn't emotionally handle the pressure.

Josh’s elimination will always be my favorite. The dude got verbally smoked by Gordon, took the beating like a champ, and walked out with his head held high.
Nilka's elimination I think is the saddest, but ended well for both her and Gordon. He met her when she was about to enter her cab, then explqined everything calmly. No drama here, just reconciliation, and of course Gordon asked for the jacket which Nilka pretended to wanting to keep it with her.
I actually felt bad for Josh. He seems so kind and his team absolutely hated him. I get wanting to win, but they were straight up cold to him
It's sad. He's a good guy, but the restaurant kitchen is not for him

Peter probably the most mature exit on the show. He had the self awareness to know he wasn't good enough, stated that politely, and left without wasting anyone else's time. I think he deserves a lot of respect for that.

You know what. Shout out to Peter for understanding his limits. He didn't force himself to do something he was hating, something that was stressing him out, and he didn't let himself drag the team down by doing stuff he wasn't cut out for. It takes its own type of strength to be able to acknoledge your own weaknesses. Not everyone is prepared for leadership or authority positions.

I feel like Peter's mid-service elimination is more on him indirectly quitting by admitting to Chef Ramsay that he's not ready to be the head chef and the Chef simply granting his request by eliminating him. calmly telling him to bring which made things easier for both of them since there's no drama and yelling in his elimination, I like how Chef Ramsay just calmly told him to take his jacket off and f*ck off unlike the other chefs who got mid-service eliminations.
Competition burnout is real in HK, I'm sure that's why Joy just buckled under pressure despite being a frontrunner. At the end of the day, you gotta take care of yourself coz noone else will
The fact that Raj was never eliminated in the middle of the service just showed how talented he really was. Also, Jen being eliminated mid service was one of the most satisfying things to happen .

Kind of looked like the women were sabotaging him by sending the dish up before he would work at his own station, but I haven't seen the whole episode to know why they're working together in the first place so maybe it's just appears that way.
@@XperimentorEES In a nutshell, he was getting carried on the blue team and they got tired of him and put him up for elimination. Ramsey decided to cut him a break and sent him to the red team where he was immediately hostile to the women which made them instantly dislike him. He kept arguing with them pretty much at every turn even when they were trying to help him. During the service where he got kicked out, he kept messing up to the point where even the nicest red team member gave up on him since he kept messing up on his station. He had passion but he made both teams hate him because of his attitude and inability.

Probably age, he's four years from 60. Hells Kitchen US has been going since 2005, so he's had to tone it down.
He says the production team wanted him to ham it up for the US show, partly to attract people to watch it more. Ig nowadays between age, and the fact that it's established now so he probably doesn't need to ham it up as much.
Ramsay in Hell's Kitchen and in Masterchief is like night and day. 😅
Show prolly needed to be more sensational in the beginning to hook people and then they toned it down later when it established a loyal following

Do you know that it's reality tv? Like a lot of the plot is staged, the videos are edited to portray certain views. With cutting a video the right way you can prove a lot of points. In Hells Kitchen the show and views come first and the food always second. With that in mind it's totally possible Jen was actually set up, though it's not proven in any way

But at the same time, imagine signing up for this competition just to quit midway. To me, I would recommend watching the show before applying to come and compete. One thing I will say that at least he’s honest.

@@rieaweer7459 yeah. When you put it like that I can sympathize more with her. I was in a very messed up job at the same age and quit after 2 months. And I consider myself a very sturdy person. There's only so much we can take
Peter is a champ and he for sure is gonna be a good chef, even if is not in a fancy restaurant, it takes guts to admit you're not ready and you don't want that kind of stress. I did the same call a few years ago and now I'm more than happy with my little restaurant, it brings food to the table and I don't have the stress.

I sympathize with Peter a lot. I used to work 52 hour weekly shifts doing something I’m good at, but when you struggle and put your back on so much at once and work overtime to where your mind and body is turning against you… it wasn’t worth the stress, pain, and even the money. You gotta do what makes you happy, even if it’s challenging, but not if it breaks your limit and sanity in an unhealthy environment.

@@calebgadison167 Had to edit the comment to be more clear, but yea, 52 hours a week. On my feet from 6am to 5 pm with only 20 minute breaks... so happy that I'm not doing that anymore and working in a more healthier and functional environment.

Yup had to quit a job paying 17 hr working over 60 per week they thought it was never enough my son was a new born I didn’t even see him that much I work there for 4 years and they never gave fulltime benefits because all contract were “part time” and whatever it was over five hrs for them it was a privilege i quit after a month my son was born cause i wanted time with my family and got a way easier and better payed job with weekends off

Gabriel's ejection was the most heartbreaking for me. He was kinda clumsy and he had a pretty bad start of S12, but honest to god I thought he was gonna be on a Tennille-esque comeback. And then that one dinner service happened and he crashed and burned on fish. Mad respect for him, and I love how he went on Cutthroat Kitchen and won.

I saw a thing where TH-cam channel FlynnMasters said that Jen’s Season 18 ejection was more of a rage-quit, and I have to agree that it straddles the line between the two. Given how she was so willing to hand her jacket in even before Ramsay told her to remove it, you can tell she was done and ready to walk out the door. It is a shame too, as Jen had the longest time between her initial season and All-Stars. Yet instead, to quote Trinity The Tuck: She’s not the same, She’s WORSE!

I pretty much consider it an ejection if Gordon says to the chef something along the lines of "Take your jacket off and get out!" which he did to Jen, so I see it as an ejection. But I can still kind of see what some people would think it was a quit.
That would be worse if it's a rage-quit because there's a saying, "You can train to get skills, but nobody can train you to get better attitude.".

It’s easy to make fun of these people when they are so upset, or when they cook bad, but it’s so stressful to be in this kind of environment, and if you move wrong you go out of sync with your team and it can be impossible to get back into it.
Then, when you know you are failing yourself and your team, Gordon comes over and tells you that your also failing him and the customers, it’s the chefs fault, but it can be hard to realize that them getting so upset can be more than just “Gordon sucks and I am angry”
You can do anything you set your mind to. If they fail it's because they're a failure.
They need to find something they're good at....
