I was there on Sunday with my Family and this place is SPECTACULAR,
MAGICALLY BEAUTIFUL 🥰😍 to say the least lol we only had time for swimming and Kayaking since we live 4 hours away (Palm beach county)

Lots of good information. I was surprised by needing a whistle while we floated down there. We can drink here in Tennessee while kayaking. You need to get off to an early start here in Tennessee, also. We absolutely enjoyed our float on the Rainbow River. ~Scotty
I know some of the rivers you can in FL but not Rainbow. I filmed this at 7:45 am and by 12 it was pure chaos on Rainbow! Hope you both are doing well Scotty!
Thank you for the info! I’m flying into Tampa next weekend and staying 3days. I plan on going to devil’s den, rainbow springs, crystal river to swim with manatees, and clearwater beach. Is there any other place you recommend?

Hello Becky, Looking for a relaxing kayak trip on Rainbow River. Estimated kayak time from the headwaters to Swampy's? Estimated time for the return trip?
Is there a place on that river where we can enter just for snorkeling?
With your dive flag the campground or take a water taxi up from KP Hole.
How deep is the water? And do the tube rentals also rent life vest?

Some parts are over 25 ft deep. Yes they have vests as well.
Can you rent the life vest from the kayak rental place?

I would drink straight from the spring no.
Northerners have ruined just about every river in the last 15 years or so however the last 4 years have been horrendous

Their getting ridiculous with the springs. It's not even worth going to them anymore by boat.

Unfortunately they changed the rules right after covid it was total crap. They put a lot of small businesses out of business.
Recommend starting paddling where the withlacoochie ends and eventually turns into the Rainbow. Such a cool transition.
