There was easier times when there was no globalisation.
It's not so much an obsession... It's what a large portion of "African-American" people wanted to be called. At least about a decade ago. It's changing again, but this time there's not just one name to use to blanket an entire race because humans are starting to realize there's more than one "type of black person" and we're STILL trying to categorize people of color as one group and that's just not possible.
And why are we saying "white" but not "black"? It's only racist if it's not applied to everyone else.

The scary part about this video is how it didn’t go extreme enough on the crazy side but actually seems quite appropriate to our world today. Only thing it got wrong is that no one bothers playing guess who anymore because everyone is wearing a mask and it’s impossible to see anyone’s face at all.
