@@unvcht5046my Garmin and the Ultra series can get longer. Maybe a SE model or such that trades some features for more battery? Like swap the AOD and detailed health tracking with turning the screen off and tracking only a few essentials and notifications?
@@unvcht5046No… it’s not. Your watch should AT LEAST last a full 24 hours. You should not have to worry about charging your watch at a random time of the day. Don’t forget that Apple’s competitor’s (Garmin) watch can last weeks. The battery life swayed my decision between the Fenix 7 vs the Rugged Apple Watch.

kinda impossible as of the moment as their chip is faster than any other watches. if battery will improve, it's going to be a small improvement. i have other watches like garmin, huawei, and xiaomi. after using apple watch for the longest time, feels like my brain is lagging when i'm using a different smart watch.
my ultra 1 lasts 3 days easily
We can always drean. The Fitbit used to give a really long battery life.
The series 10 looks identical to the series 7 all the way up to the series 9 the only change is the screen is getting larger, and the bezel is shrinking. This is not a complete redesign at all.
It’s really sad. Just like they said IOS 18 was going to be a complete redesign, it seems they’re over promising to mask the inevitable plateau of apple upgrades. They could’ve done so much with this series X smh.

@@nerevarchthn6860 I mean only a slight curve just so it sits on the wrist a bit nicer on the bigger screens as most men have bigger wrists. I find that the watch sits a bit uncomfortably on mine because of its straightness. But I agree with you, I don’t see how much change could actually be brought. It’s just a bit underwhelming that’s all. There is seemingly no justification for upgrading your Apple Watch for a long time now.
This is definitely the year I'm upgrading my Series 5 (mostly because of the dropped software support), now gotta decide between the Ultra(3?) and the Series X
I got a small wrist, so if they do ditch the smaller size, then it’s going to be a big skip for me.

I have the tiniest wrists so I have always gotten the smaller Apple Watches. Even the 41mm Series 9 is a bit big for me but I still got it anyway. Unsure about the Series X now.
These are still rumours until they r announced in september.
Only me waiting for the battery specs? Have many years old Garmin on my wrist, and still 8-10 times longer battery time compared to a newer Apple Watch.

Simple answer: Use the watch, and not charge most of the time. Track the sleep, and not charge at night because the battery keep less than 24h. And not worry about charging all the time, just use the watch with no worries. Like Garmin understood, for example
@@Vitruvianus funny I have the ultra and don’t have a problem with the battery and I wear tonight. I simply put it on the charger for half hour to an hour when I get home from work and put it on before bed

I have the series 7 and going to get the X 49mm . The series 7 screen looks small .

Unless a “redesign” is necessary for major functional improvements, I don’t particularly see a need to change something that works very well, just for the sake of change.
Something doesn’t make sense. The next watch will be the series 10 and they’ve been saying that it marks the 10th anniversary all of this time, but in actuality the 10th anniversary is going to be next year? That doesn’t make any sense. Were they gonna call next year‘s watch?

Was thinking of waiting for buying the X, but because it got bigger and my wrist is too big for the 45mm it was an easy choise to now buy the series 9... Kinda sad, would have gotten the x if not for this

Why is there this constant expectation for redesign each product cycle? The likes of Cartier, Omega, Seiko etc keep designs literally for decades. The whole thing for me about a smart watch is the ability to customise the display to your own liking.

Really want an Apple Watch that gets a few days off a single charge.
I loved my ultra 1 but after 1.5yrs of wearing it, it went boot looping after an unfinished software update. Needed to make 1-1 replacement with the cost of almost the new price. Broke my heart n my bank ofcoz, now not sure to keep purchasing this brand :( Garmin seems cool to me but lack of smartwatch features tho!

I got Series 9 45mm from marketplace brand new for almost 40% off. So if anyone get lucky enough on marketplace no need to wait for new watch. It saves taxes and additional cost

Best sizes should be 43mm and 47mm for most regular users.. I owned 45mm but it seems I just want additional 2mm on the display..

The whole story is based on one leaked Cad-file. For updates on the inside of the watch we'll have to wait for it to actually be announced.

I purchased Omoda E5 here in Nepal 3 months back. Really loving it. Apart from few hiccups like auto wireless Carplay connection problem sometime and tyre pressure not updating live, I like it a lot. :)

Can’t take BP with just infrared sensors. Sleep apnea monitoring won’t work properly without Sp02 monitoring due to law suit. Glucose monitoring is years away so what else they got to make it so special??

Im not happy about the size increase. Sure, 1mm doesnt seem like much, but compared to the original 38mm its a 4mm increase. As someone with extremely thin wrists this doesnt seem like an improvement.
So should I get an ultra or wait for this

Personally the biggest turn off for me with the SX is the size options. I'm currently using the 41mm S9 and I love it. I could maybe go to a 45mm but 49mm is crazy. I prefer the smaller size for watches cause it's a watch, I have the Iphone 15 Plus if I need a bigger screen for something. I don't really want a bulky, huge screen on my wrist all day personally. And as for people's battery complaints, I don't have any issue with the current battery on the S9, lasts me over 24 hours (roughly) per charge which is more than enough for me.

Why would you even think of upgrading? An apple watch can usually last 4-6 years without an issue. You can change the battery once it degrade.
I don't want real leather anything! I have a small wrist but I prefer a bigger watch because I can see it better.
I don’t think it will be re-designed. From a watch - wear perspective it is already perfect to wear with rounded edges that doesn’t catch on the sleeves. The band / strap changing method is a milestone in all watch industry in terms of how strong , reliable and easy it is to change the strap. Not even top tier / luxury Swiss brands cannot do that. It is made from solid ( and depending on the model luxurious ) materials like stainless steel / ceramic / sapphire glass / titanium. Simply put it is very very wearable by a lot of people.
If apple makes a round watch I will jump ships just for that 😊

We don’t need thinnest watch. We need bulkiest watch with massive battery.

Super disappointed! Almost to the point of pissed off... This is a big year for the watch, and to just give such minor updates is very sloppy. The only thing I'm happy about is that they're not going round. I can't stand round watches. But I was really looking forward to upgrading my series 4 this year... not really sure I will now.

I guess the smaller SE is for kids. And adults who don’t want a 49mm but prefer a 41mm watch can stick to a series 9. Nothing wrong with that. One could argue that if you have a 41mm 9, why upgrade to an X
