  • A CSX mixed freight led by a couple of GE CW44AC’s on the Hanover Sub passes the historic Gettysburg (Lincoln) Railroad Station. Built in 1858, just several years later it became a field hospital during the Battle of Gettysburg. Its most famous passenger was President Abraham Lincoln who arrived there in the fall of 1863 to dedicate the National Cemetery. It was at the cemetery that the Gettysburg Address was delivered. The station now has an interactive museum on the first floor. Notice the old semaphore signal still standing above the station!
