Miracles happen every single day, you can do this! Visualize whatever you put in your body (food, meds, etc.) as healing you. You don't need training to do this but I offer you help if you would like to know know more. I'm hopeful for you! Stacy

    Wow! Saw you on Dr. Baker’s channel this morning and decided to come and look at this interview. This makes sooo much sense! Retired nurse here. I’ve been Carnivore for almost 2 years and have greatly benefited from it. Had breast cancer with double mastectomy. This information is so encouraging, moving forward. Will look more into GKI. Thank you so much for this interview and I’m praying for you and for your strength, to keep pushing forward towards healing. God bless you!!!

      @jasonwatson6104  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I hope you are doing well and staying healthy. I had a question for Professor Seyfried, but unfortunately, I ran out of time. I wanted to ask if ketosis can help reduce the risk of recurrence. I believe it might. Congratulations on your two years of carnivore diet! I recently incorporated bone marrow fried in tallow into my diet. It's delicious, and I'm already noticing some benefits! I get the bones from my local butcher, and they kindly cut them for me. Give this a try! Its honestly amazing!

    • @chrisypbydesign
      @chrisypbydesign 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@jasonwatson6104 , Thank you! From what I have been reading, I think there is a good possibility you are correct in your thought that ketosis may indeed starve those cells that are thinking of becoming cancerous. My hope is that the damaged precancerous cells can be eliminated with the right environment (ketosis). I absolutely love this way of eating. I’m really looking forward to making your bone broth. It sounds yummy! Perhaps you could do a video on how you make it. I’d watch! Also, it would help to have a great recipe like that for when I’m feeling under the weather. Those are the times I don’t like the thought of eating meat and having some nice, fatty broth would do the trick 😁

    • @jasonwatson6104
      @jasonwatson6104  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @chrisypbydesign, I've been considering doing that video when i do my fast. To be honest, I find the broth to be quite bland. I usually add salt and butter to enhance the flavor. Occasionally, I obtain beef rib bones from the butcher and add them to the broth, which significantly improves its taste.

    • @chrisypbydesign
      @chrisypbydesign 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@jasonwatson6104 That would be awesome! I like the idea of adding the bones to the broth. I also saw someone who cooks down organic broth to about half of the liquid left to enhance the flavor. I’ve also seen people who bake the bones in the oven before adding them to broth. So many ways to do it!

    • @jasonwatson6104
      @jasonwatson6104  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@chrisypbydesignI prepared the bones on the barbecue and they tasted delicious. The marrow came out effortlessly. It was quite rich in fat. I had to fry it a little in lard to make it crispy. I shared this experience on my community tab. Please take a look at the picture, it's quite amusing! So many ways to do Broth! I need to experiment!

    Hi Jason, I saw your interview with Dr. Shawn Baker yesterday. Thank you for sharing your journey with the world. I've followed a carnivore diet on and off since 2020, but I became a strict carnivore on April 12 of this year. I wish you all the best on your health journey and the success of your channel. Amazing interview ! Thank you both....spread the word far & wide...If we inundate the field of oncology with millions of people simultaneously demanding a paradigm shift.....relentlessly, we can eventually wear down their utter refusal to acknowledge the truth and act on it ! That is once we get through all the CENSORSHIP ! It is this denial of true, non-toxic therapies that oncology refuses to research & act on.....that caused me to completely pull back from donating & volunteering to collect donations for Cancer Research as I previously had done ! I realized I was only contributing to their blindness & ultimately to the disgusting Money Grabs of pharmaceutical industries & their buddies !

      That's just unsustainable. I saw 900 calorie recommendation in one of Seyfried's papers. I tried that and lost a ton of weight. And eventually hunger takes over and you pig out.
      I find it much more practical to find the right level of protein to just maintain muscle mass. I can maintain low gki for many weeks after just a 3-day fast. And I'm consuming about 1,500 + calories a day.
      I am very active, though.

    Thanks for this interview. I have watched pretty much every other interview with Dr. Seyfried, so there wasn't much new here, but a little bit of a different angle. Thanks for asking some less common questions! Do you have any potential ideas for a follow-up interview? I know that HomesteadHow and/or Jeff D. (blessingsonmyjourney) did a follow-up interview to gather a little more information, which I also really appreciated.
    So at the moment, the keys I gathered were: Keto diet (really focusing on GKI)(maybe with fasting too), reducing stress, moderate exercise. Add in fenbendazole; there's not a lot available to most of us to pulse the glutamine. I take a lot of supplements with the hope that they can help, but that's a whole other topic, and maybe impossible to measure.

      Thank you very much for your support and feedback! You have accurately identified the challenges of big business in the medical industry. It is acceptable to occasionally make mistakes, as long as you get back on track. When I make a mistake, I usually fast for a day or two to get back on track. I have advanced cancer, so this is a rare occurrence. I have a strong motivation, but it is important to get back on track, regardless of the circumstances. Keep on going my friend!

    I just watched you and Dr. Baker. I also have a stage 4(different cancer)
    A lot of stuff came to mind, relating what i have learned in regards to trying to beat the cancer.
    1. A CGM. This has helped a lot lot. You have a gki mojo, i use pee strips to measure my ketones. I like the cgm as it doesnt require a prick and is easy.
    I find some tricks to keep glucose down(besides carnivoire) 1. Walking even a half a mile a few min(like 30??) After eating. 2. Cold therapy. I take a shower( not hot
    .luke warm to chilly) and finish off with COLD as the artic. Both things drop my number.
    I try to eat 3 times a day(i lost too much weight also) breakfast is my big meal or maybe lunch. Dinner is a light meal. And try to end dinner by 3 ish. I have a small bowl of salt by my chair in the evening and the taste "helps" quench any cravings. I drink lots of coffee with butter, coconut oil and also mct oil. I add a touch of cinnamon. At least 4 times a day. I try not to drink for a hour after eating. I eat FATTY meat. Rib eye is good, beef ribs are the best for me. I struggle to eat more and more fat. I use also in my coffee heavy cream or half half. I get maybe 1500 calories a day from the coffee mixes. I do bone broth i make but not religiously. I should. I eat a few nuts, maybe like 2 or 3 nuts from like several varieties. Also fruit, just a bite of berries and pineapple. Literally a bite, ALWAYS after my meal is done. In my mind this is to keep my microbiome tuned to some different things that are not bad. Anyway.....i appreciate your sharing. Hope we both are around to share war stories in 5 years. Thanks Jason

      Thanks a lot for sharing this! We'll both definitely be around in five years to share war stories! I took a screenshot of this and saved it! If you check out my current videos, you'll see I'm doing an animal fat fast. I hope this actually works. I have high hopes. With cancer, usually, it's not a great thing, but this time I do believe the fasting can help a lot. Just fat should help keep the weight on!

      @jasonwatson6104 the idea of a fast , eating fats is not an idea I have heard before. Seems it will boost your ketones, thou you are mostly meat anyway. My ketones ran from. 3 to 4 for the first 9 or 10 months or so. Some said it was because my body wasn't used to run on ketones and it was a runoff, or excess...didn't quite understand. Lately I have dropped to much lower. But I am renewing my efforts. I started to taking to some carbs when I lost over 30% of my body weight. My wife said I looked like a POW. Now I have bottomed out I think and can eat more than I used to. It took getting used to. Lots of bacon and dairy fats. I keep learning what works and trying new things

    Hi Jason,
    Saw your Dr Baker interview now here listening. I admire your drive to try work your way through this most difficult journey.
    Not sure if you have stumbled upon this in your research yet - but many in the keto/carnivore world are doing sardine fasts/challenges and getting amazing levels of ketones and lower glucose readings than normal. Usually seems people are doing 3 days as the length. Can add butter for more fat, use mustard or hot sauce to make more appealing. Brunswick brand in Canada is in spring water. Might be worth adding to the regime.
    Wishing you all the luck and the ongoing will to persevere.

I did not realize his protocol is so technical. I heard it elsewhere the importance of precision level implementation of his protocol. Once implemented correctly positive results invariably follow.
    I have advanced prostate cancer and standard of care wants to put me through hell and I refuse to do it. They use the word cure for my situation. Cure, are you serious? Professor puts is so succinctly, we do not cure. We manage the disease which is the correct response. Once our cells are disregulated leading to the cancer. The problem is there for life and it is up to us to manage it for longevity.

    Is there any video that explains how to manage glutamine for brain tumors?

    • @jasonwatson6104
      @jasonwatson6104  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Yes, but allow me to summarize. You need a drug called DON. Below I will explain in detail, but first, it is very difficult to obtain, so you have to do the hard work. Glucose is still the primary fuel source for cancer. You need to get GKI down as low as possible, so cut out all carbs and sugars, including most fruits. Test GKI regularly. Buy the kito mojo meter from usa. Hard to get if you dont live there. I hade someone living there buy me mine and mail to me.Prolonged fasting (water only) for 5+ days with mild exercise will lower glutamine. Also, fenbendazole or embendazole will lower glucose and glutamine uptake to cells. Remember, glutamine is what the cancer uses for replication, and glucose is for energy. Below are the drugs you can use that pack a huge punch but are almost impossible to obtain.
      The drug, 6-Diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine (DON), can be effective in targeting the glutamine pathway, but the drug is difficult to obtain and must be administered intravenously by a trained medical professional. Patients would need to find a physician that can order DON from the company and administer this intravenously according to the dosage information in the Magill et al., Sullivan et al., and the Mueller et al., papers. Sodium phenylbutyrate can also be effective in removing excess glutamine from the blood. Any physician can prescribe this medication. However this drug is used in children with metobolic disorders and in short supply. May be tough to find a physyscian willing to risk this off labell use!

    Hi Jason, wishing all the best to you. I've read in several places that cancer doesn't like alkaline environments and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is one of the most potent alkalizers. You could give it a try taking a small tea spoon of baking soda a day for a few days to see how your body reacts. Just my 2 cents here, keep going with the carnivore diet, remember to add pure sea salt instead of regular table salt, and all the best in your journey!

      Dry fasting is awesome! I am going to try this after my current fast! Glutamine is tricky because all cells need it. Dry fasting is like 3 times the benefit as water only. There are repurposed drugs that interupt the glutamine path way like fembendazole. Also DON.

      @@jasonwatson6104 Yes..I'm just getting into it...gearing up for a 5-7d next month.. Curious, how does one test glutamine levels, and how does one know if they have gotten their levels low enough to impair cancer cells/tumors?

      You can't test glutamine. Honestly, just get your body below 2.0 gki. Check out my protocol video. Repurposed drugs will interrupt glutamin enough. Also, fasting and exercise. Also, see fembendazole notes I will put here. Usually, I ask for an email to send this stuff but low on time. Please dont stress on glutamine. I know DON is the best. Check out proffessor seyfrieds latest publication press pulse. Press cancer with low gki and pulse it with hyperbaric oxogen and high dose vitamine c.
      Fenbendazole Mode-Of Action
      How does this amazing drug work in relation to cancer?
      Fenbendazole has the ability to fight cancer by halting the mitosis of cancer cells through multiple pathways.
      1) It bonds to and disrupts the micro tubulin of abnormal cells.
      2) It inhibits glucose delivery to cancer cells.
      3) It reduces glucose uptake in cancer cells by down regulating GLUT transporters.
      4) It acts as a kinase inhibitor and helps block the formation of new blood vessels necessary for tumors to survive.
      5) It stimulates the P53 to suppress and fight tumors.
      I really hope this helps. Email me for more information. I have loads of protocols and things I can share.

      @@jasonwatson6104 Man...great reply and thanks for taking the time....I'm not currently diagnosed with cancer..I'm in prevention mode...although, after years of consuming nothing but crap food daily, I know I'm not free of cancerous cells, but have not have any of them manifest into anything noticeable. I'm just now getting into dry fasting. Gki tracking is difficult. Urine strips aren't reliable in my view, and blood monitoring is expensive..I do monitor glucose and definitely maintain an optimal range at all times...😀

    I'm currently receiving Keytruda thru Kaiser. I am able to function well while on this therapy. Sure, I'd prefer to prefer to be treated a "Seyfried Clinic", but unaware of that being possible. Beside, I probably dont the $$ needed. I just measured my GKI as 1.68, probably owing to my strict attention to Dr Seyfried's advice. I wonder if there are/is any group in the southern calif. area which encourages people like me to compare Melanoma ??

      That would be so cool if there was! If not you have this community here! Great work on the GKI! Keep going!

      Look into Rigvir Virus Treatment. It is a live virus that seems out cancer infects it and kills it, the nice thing it only targets the cancer.

      It's approved for Melanoma in Latvia where it was discovered.

    hello Jason, can we get the professor to explain lactate? In the Drive podcast hosted by Peter Attia episode 312 - A masterclass in lactate him and another scientist were discussing the role of lactate and that mitochondria's prefer fuel is lactic acid. I remember Dr Seyfried explaining that lactic acid is a by-product produced by cancer cells that the liver would used to convert back to glucose. Is Peter's guest on his podcast missing something? I mean the science is beyond my understanding that's for sure
