The glutamine medication is 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine (DON), which is discussed in the context of targeting glutamine metabolism for cancer treatment. The generic medicine mentioned for targeting glutamine metabolism in cancer treatment is 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine (DON). This compound is known for its ability to inhibit glutaminase, an enzyme crucial for glutamine metabolism, which is often upregulated in cancer cells. DON represents a potent anticancer agent, particularly when formulated as a tumor-targeted prodrug. Full study here: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34564387/

    • @stanleyyu2079
      @stanleyyu2079 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

DON is only available for research purpose, not for general public unfortunately.
Berberine, egcg (green tea extract), curcumin, quercetin, and resveratrol are glutamine suppressors. They also can activate tumor suppressor p53.
Please look them up and study their side effects and drug interactions.
Also their bioavailability is very low. There are technologies and enhancers that can increase the absorption.
Metabolic Therapy in conjunction with fenbendazole might stand a better chance fighting cancers.

@@stanleyyu2079So glutamine from bone broth is not good for cancer patients??

    • @stanleyyu2079
      @stanleyyu2079 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Too much glutamine is not good. It is hard to completely shut down glutamine. Even the body will produce glutamine.
That is why it is so critical to have DON. As I mentioned above, there are glutamine suppressors we can use.
In my opinion, metabolic therapy alone is not enough. Fenbendazole should be added to the treatment. @@cc8722

Dr Seyfried used to recommend a 5 day water only fast once per year to help prevent cancer. About day 3 of a 5 day fast, you body starts repairing mitochondria, which is what makes the fasting so powerful for prevention. However, a 5 day water only fast is not easy to do. It can be quite uncomfortable for people who do not fast regularly. And I do not think Dr Seyfried personally does fasting, as it is not pleasant initially. But fasting is very beneficial. Dr Jason Fung is one of the leading experts on fasting. He would be a good guest.

This was such a great episode and I listened with great interest because my dog currently has cancer. He’s been eating carnivore for the past 5 months and his tumors are stable and he is happy. I do wish Dr. Seyfried had gone into more detail regarding how someone might access his metabolic press-pulse approach to treatment for cancer. I realize it might be nearly impossible to find.

@@komuhangiwinfred2241 I am going through the same process myself ... Trying to figure out how to heal from cancer... I have decided to do DYI metabolic therapy treatment. I'm consulting with a Chinese medicine oncology vet Monday which I hope will be supportive and can perhaps offer guidance or be on stand by to help me look at markers or if needed end of life care or additional supportive care like the IV C.
That said, I have been able to piece together a protocol based on relistening to days of interviews from cancer pioneers like Seyfried, Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Nasha Winters etc. Reading their published papers and that of others, and verifying snippets of gold from others in the DIY self treatment camp currently or previously. For the snippets I verify, for example glutamate/glutamine inhibitors etc.... Im also going to compare lab markers to therapeutic benefit need or risk before implementing supplement, herbal or dietary tweeks, as well as contraindications.
      So here is my plan:
      1. I am going to cycle in and out of fasting and check gki via ketomojo device while gradually increasing keytones through coconut oil, MCT, and perhaps specialized keytones such as the ones being developed by Dr. D'Agnosito...
      2. When not fasting, eat a restricted carnivore keto diet 0 carb.
      3. I am going to pulse low dose glutamine inhibitors intermittently when gki is under 2. I am rotating the inhibitors out from ashgawanda, green tea extract, and quercitin since the market med equivalent isn't available. The pulse treatment will include the low dose inhibitor low dose combo of fenbenzadol and the other antiparasitic companion Dr.Seyfried mentioned in this interview. It is critical you read his press n pulse treatment paper on the foundation website. Judy linked to it in show notes.
4.I will be logging reactions and benefits to eliminate anything with adverse affect to good affect and may gradually increase pulse dose to tolerance. Will also increase exercise to tolerance.
      5. I will be adding liposomal vit c, multi.mineral, multi vitamin and multi b support inc a lot of pork belly (pork belly feeds the good bacteria creating bioavailable b vitamins).
6.I'll be adding 0carb fed probiotics including Mutaflor which eats lactic acid (from fermentation process in the cells and what cancer cells make).
      7. May add on at home oxygen treatments, IV vit c, mistletoe, sweet wormwood doses since it targets iron dependent cancers such as breast and lymphoma, and blue methylene etc.
Essentially my dog is sick and the vet is leaning towards with lymphoma, though it may be a severe infection. Our treatment budget is limited. My goal is to make him as comfortable as possible and provide the best outcome possible... be it added extension of life with good quality, or remission, or suspension of growth if it is cancer.
He was just tentatively diagnosed yesterday and is on low dose steroid to slow down tumor growth, a clotting herbal , and antibiotics right now. He will likely stay on the pro clotting herbal Yunnan Baiyao throughout this diy treatment due to blood pooling on his abdomen indicating he is not clotting well or normally.
If I can get him to therapeutic ketosis verified via ketomojo he will likely stay on low dose steroid. Because steroids interfere with ketosis cancer killing ability, we may have to taper off as we ramp up metabolic therapy of cancer protocol's. However is dose is low to contain cancer spread so maybe not.
There is a risk either way, so I will be reaccessing frequently and readjusting as appropriate. Bearing in mind w/o this protocol his prognosis is bleak and short. With miracles may happen, or not. But would likely make his suffering less nonetheless and his remaining time more functional.
Waffles is a larger German Shepherd Collie mix, almost 11, and like most of us I didn't know then what I know now. Though I changed course in his diet from kibble and "standard of care" (heavily repeated vaccines) a few years ago, everything I have learned trying to cure my bodies own RA disease, has led me to be able to quickly and knowledgeably be able to take decisive action on this.
Hope this insight helps all on their journey and def go to Dr. Seyfrieds websites inc the foundation and read the papers. Add in other nontoxic or less toxic cancer research papers for not only essential targeting and information, but to gauge the most appropriate conservative dosing and make sure you review contraindications for self therapy treatments before applying so you can adjust accordingly etc. Knowledge is power, and love is courage, sharing leads to freedom!

Additionally, we can source kangaroo (which is fantastic, v similar to venison) which is absolutely wild, range fed - eating less meat, but higher quality keeps the costs consistent while the health impact is significant.

This interview with T. Seyfried may be somewhat confusing to the carnivore crowd. We all need a certain amount of glutamine. So glutamate, a secondary fuel for cancer cells, is made from glutamine by glutaminase enzymes. And all carnivores know that red meat, as well as all high protein food (especially bone broth and protein powders) is high in glutamine. This is why, people with cancer may do well with fasting, and higher fat, rather than protein, diets. Or even use the Rainbow Diet that advocates fish instead of red meat. Fish is high in glutamine, but not as high as beef. Chicken is the highest. According to Chris Woollams, "Believing that restricting glutamine consumption will restrict glutamine levels in the body is a non-starter. I am already full of it,; in my muscles, brain and so on. If a cancer cell wants glutamate, it can go next door and rob adjacent cells. Given every 16-year old biology student knows it is a non-essential amino acid, were I to have depleted levels, I might start to experience muscle wastage and my glutamine production system in my body would kick in to raise levels."
Then there is the Paleomedicina Clinic in Hungary, run by Dr. Szofia Clemens, that used meat and water (PKD diet) to put cancer in remission, even an aggressive form like glioblastoma. I have a friend who is a patient of Clemens. The meat portions, relative to the fat, are very small...maybe only 4 oz, 2 X a day. Absolutely no dairy is allowed.
Here are 10 foods that can block glutaminase:
    EGCG (Green tea)
    Curcumin (Turmeric root)
    Lycopene (Tomatoes)
Ursolic Acid (Holy basil, pistachio nuts)
    Resveratrol (Red grape skins)
    Honokiol, magnol (Magnolia Bark Extract)
    Graviola (Soursop)
    Sulforaphane (Sprouting seeds)
    Valerian
    Withanolide (Ashwagandha)
And here's a list of 17 foods that contain glutamine, starting with foods highest in glutamine to the lowest:
    Chicken
    Beef
    Lamb
    Turkey
    Pork
    Seafood
    Shellfish
    Eggs
    Yogurt
    Milk
    Cheese
    Tofu
    Kidney beans
    Nuts
    Red raw cabbage
    Dark leafy greens
    Whole grains

first thing i would do at even slightest suspicion of cancer is go on a long fast, or several. you have to basically rid your body of as much glucose and glutamine as possible. then go keto, just fat and meat mostly fat. also dewormer drugs like fenbendazole or ivermectin can be very powerful. but i think based on what ive read the very best results are from long brutal fasting, basically starvation.

Ketogenic diet with olive oil, avocados, as first line of defense and fatty fish like salmon as second, grass fed hormone free organic beef as third would be way to go

I have prostate cancer and had it removed 10 months ago. My 3mo Blood Works were in order .022, .064, .21, and last week .231 so it was tripling every 3 months but now has more of less flat lined. The only thing that changed was getting on the Keto Metabolic Diet with intermitted fasting, (hard exercise but always have done this), and I take a 500mg of Mebendazole daily with a fat type breakfast and crush it into a powder, and 1 Ivermectin two times a week. I just had my CT/PSMA Pet Scan and no red dots at all but 1 small, iddy biddy lesion on my bone but it could not be cancer because to have that on the bone be cancer has to a PSA 10, 20 or 100 and your bones always have little benign lesions. My PSA flatlined because of Prof. Seyfried and doing his protocal I am waiting to get my Keto Mojo to monitor my Glucose to Ketone ratio. My Urologist/Surgeon was in shock with my PSA flat lining and I told him what I was doing. God Bless Prof. Seyfried. I also am getting the DON drug but did say it was not for a patient so I lied. The big Case Study Trial done on DON, those fools rigged it all as they were giving like 10mg of DON 5 or 6 times a day so some got sick. It was intnetional to shut down DON

Here’s the summary of the video featuring Judy Cho’s interview with Dr. Thomas Seyfried on cancer and metabolic therapy:
    Introduction
    • Judy Cho introduces herself as a board-certified holistic nutritionist focusing on root cause healing, starting with a carnivorous elimination diet.
    • She interviews Dr. Thomas Seyfried, a professor of biology at Boston College with expertise in cancer research, particularly cancer as a metabolic disease.
Key Points from Dr. Thomas Seyfried
    • Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: Seyfried explains that cancer is often wrongly perceived as a genetic disease, whereas he argues it stems from metabolic dysfunction. Specifically, cancer cells use fermentation (glucose and glutamine) to generate energy, rather than oxygen.
    • Mitochondrial Dysfunction: He suggests that the inability of cells to efficiently use oxygen for energy leads to mutations, and these mutations are a result of the metabolic failure, not the cause.
    • Warburg Effect: Seyfried discusses the Warburg hypothesis, which highlights that cancer cells prioritize glucose fermentation even in the presence of oxygen. Seyfried expands on this by introducing glutamine as another fuel source for cancer cells.
    Critique of Conventional Cancer Treatments
    • Seyfried criticizes chemotherapy and radiation, suggesting these treatments often do more harm than good. He claims many cancer patients die from the treatments themselves, not the cancer.
    • He emphasizes that metabolic therapy, which includes dietary strategies like ketogenic diets and glutamine-targeting drugs, is a non-toxic and effective alternative.
    Diet and Cancer Prevention
    • Ketogenic Diet: A ketogenic diet, which restricts carbohydrates and raises ketones, starves cancer cells of their primary fuels-glucose and glutamine.
    • Seyfried advises integrating metabolic therapy from the start of cancer treatment. He argues that cancer cells cannot survive without glucose and glutamine, and ketogenic diets deprive them of this.
    • Fructose and Processed Foods: He warns against high consumption of fructose and modern processed foods, as they raise glucose levels, contributing to cancer risk.
    Challenges in Adoption
    • Seyfried explains that despite the evidence supporting metabolic therapy, the medical community is slow to adopt it due to entrenched beliefs and financial incentives in favor of conventional treatments.
    • He also mentions the resistance from mainstream oncologists, who often discourage alternative therapies like the ketogenic diet.
Practical Advice for Cancer Patients and Prevention
    • For those diagnosed with cancer, Seyfried suggests starting with comprehensive blood work and adopting a ketogenic diet to lower glucose and glutamine levels.
    • He stresses the importance of exercise, maintaining a low glucose-to-ketone ratio, and avoiding high-carb foods.
    • Metabolic therapy involves combining diet with low doses of drugs that target glutamine, which, according to Seyfried, is highly effective without the toxicity of standard treatments.
    Closing Remarks
    • Seyfried concludes that while metabolic therapy is not well-known, it holds great promise for cancer treatment and prevention. He encourages patients to seek out information and consider alternative treatments that could save lives without causing the harm associated with conventional methods.
The full interview dives deep into how metabolic therapy works, its benefits over traditional cancer treatments, and how lifestyle and dietary changes can prevent cancer.

The relationship between cancer and metabolism isn’t a straightforward cause-and-effect scenario; rather, for cells to become cancerous, they must go through numerous steps and acquire a range of complex characteristics. These include proliferative signaling, evading growth suppressors, resisting cell death, enabling replicative immortality, inducing angiogenesis, and activating invasion and metastasis, as well as reprogramming energy metabolism and evading immune detection. Achieving this intricate array of changes requires multiple genetic, chemical, physical, and electrical alterations, painting a picture of immense complexity. Consequently, while there are many potential targets for treatment, pinpointing the specific few that could disrupt this formidable machinery remains a significant challenge.

Read about an early Luekimia Dr. and he talked about how they often did such aggressive treatment that his patients usually came near to death before getting better. He talked about what would kill the cancer, often would almost kill the patient. Carnivore/ketosis sound a lot better to try first!!! Current children's hospital practice is all about drugs and big pharma, natural is "unstudied" so the Dr.s can NOT recommend because the CDC FDA and NIH will not allow them to recommend...criminal!!!

The Medical Industrial Complex doesn't make profit with an emphasis on eating a healthy diet including elimination of sugars in our diet. We have a sick care system in the US.
Grains and "complex carbohydrates" break down to sugar. Cancer feeds off of sugar. I'd rather starve the cancer cells than feed them.

can mold toxicity cause cancer? my husband and I, along with our 3 dogs lived in a new construction home with toxic mold for 5 years from 2014-2019. all 3 dogs and my husband have now been diagnosed with cancers that are not common to their breed and age. I am the only one that does not have cancer. my husband and I have both been paleo keto since Fall of 2015. The biggest difference between the diet my husband ate and what I ate was that I didn't do any non paleo cheat days or drink alcohol while my husband did both a few times/month. He also continued to eat butter while I couldn't tolerate butter even. He has just been diagnosed with stage 2 clear cell renal cell carcinoma at the age of 48. They did do cryotherapy to remove it. Now we wait 6 months for the next scan to see if they got it all. He was never symptomatic and it was an incidental find. They also found a mass on his adrenal which needs further investigation now. Crazy thing is that I am the one with 3 autoimmune diseases.

the drugs people take are possibly unnecessary.
I know a person who started with heart issues after so called beating cancer. He now has heart failure and afib and high blood pressure and reflux and has anxiety and sleep apnea.
Plus they saw a spot on his liver. But he eats a lot of sugar and highly processed foods. So chances are the cancer will reappear.
