Well now address the difference between why you use retention vs competition. Try wrestling with someone with a race holster, try running with the firearm holstered or keeping someone else from taking the firearm. My point is what each is designed for, what the purpose of each is. They are utilized for different reasons. and speed although can be a factor it's not the only factor when carrying a firearm for self protection.

We consider that self-evident. We've noted that the choice of holster should be based on the shooter's objectives and intentions.

Wasn't it "drawing cold" against "drawing being warmed-up" after the first series? Btw if one orders custom-made kydex holster (not expensive at all) - it can be adjusted even better to his personal needs

Th adjustment he speaks off is free movement on a ball joint changing angles to fit to one's draw, distance to the body, height, cant etc. and it stays adjustable.

@@onpsxmember yes but that's common between all sport holster types

Please give me 1-2 examples of sport retention holsters or just custom kydex holsters that have that freedom. Maybe I'm just unaware of what you're talking about.

We disagree that a Kydex holster inherently provides more freedom and adjustability; this largely depends on the hanger rather than the holster itself. A race holster, in particular, does not add any friction that needs to be overcome. You can present the gun toward the target immediately since the muzzle does not need to clear the front of the holster-simply because there isn't one.

@@onpsxmember as i've mentioned mine is custom made but its very similar to Ben Stoeger Boss Hanger. It does allow customization in terms of how you angle your holster. I hope this is what you mean
