Jon, I absolutely love the new format. Showing what it does stock out of the box for the average pilot, followed by showing what the Commander is capable of! Hats off too you! I watch your videos in envy and amazed at your Pilot skills! Thank you!! Looking forward to future content!! Hawk.
Hey Jon! Want to thank you for the help with the links for the Viper 90 build! Going to be showing up on my porch any minute today, and I am stoked!! Love your channel and looking forward to what you guys fly in 2023!
I come to your channel because you like to take things to the extreme and it is fun to watch. I'm not looking to try those things myself, but I appreciate what you do.
My son is new to flying, and I’ve been in this hobby for 8 years. I prefer grabbing some jets when we go flying, but my son bought and I’m helping with the e-flite Mustang. I love my IX12 with buddy boxing, but dude thanks for these videos! Showing what can be done!
I just acquired one of these for free. It's been crashed a few times but it's really not in too bad of shape... The only problem I am having is on a SMC 4s 2200 LiHv I can't get the battery forward enough to be able to still put the canopy on and it not be unbelievably tail heavy. It is still flyable but the elevator is insanely touchy.... It makes for some pretty sweet snap rolls though lol
It's definitely not possible to make this plane tail heavy on a 4 cell 2200 - it may be more sensitive than you're used to, but it's far from being tail heavy in the aerodynamic sense. Try increasing expo which will help.
Thanks! Both sticks to the top left after rolling for a bit. You need full travel and full span ailerons to perform it. The setup guide for this is included in the description.
Some servos can't take 150 on end points.....there's plenty of servos thar max out at 120 or eve 100....maxing a servo is adjusting it until travel maxes out or it binds then back it out a couple nominals....if it maxes out at 110 and you set it to 150 your just extending the servos capability and load....so in reality 150 isn't always good yes is will be max thro but could be 30 pts of no movement and unnecessary load on servo so always set your servo by its physical movement limit...unless using analog for some reason analog can go alot further....I learned this the hard way from thinking just set it to 150 and then a pro 3d team pilot showed me the proper way to set up a servo
& all the plastic gear servos most manufacturers use currently can't handle over-extending their throws. It cooks them! Y I believe EVERY manufacturer SHOULD BE putting MG digital servos in everything WE are paying $400+++ for nowadays!
Can you describe the mods needed to accomplish the "Unlocked" version? I assume you will need to have another bigger rx to handle two flaps, two ailerons and mod the flap cable?
Fist mod of most e flught planes......put quality servos on there and if flying 3d go hv....makes a world of difference....and also get smc pack because your cheating yourself if not u can't beat the bang for your buck they bring
@@TwoBrosRC yeah that's y I said most.....some of then are ok....if you plan on flying aggressively more often than not then it's a good idea....especially on timbers and ultimate and extra 300...and eratix it's a .ust I stipped out stock elevator doing a waterfall lol....and when I mean quality I don't mean lime savox or mks or bluebird ur just something reputable like agfrc or the mid range hi techs

Very nice drone-chasing view! The flat spin from aerial footage is completely different than the ground view.
I like the new format. Love the seeing the difference in the same vid.

Happy to help!
I had the opportunity to fly one of this, and what a surprise, great little airplane, easy to handle and lots to fun.
I truly enjoyed the drone footage and the flight review. You guys are doing great! 👏
Cheers, Corey!
Very very nice change! The idea of flying let’s say stock compared to how you show what the planes/jets can do. Love it!!
Really like that chase footage. I bet it's tricky. But man! It's a pretty dope outro 👍
Love the info. You’re always a must watch before purchasing any rc plane. Thanks!
Happy to help!
Fantastic chase footage! Well done!

I'm flying mine with SMC 4400 LiHv without any issues
Love this video! Love the channel! How are you performing the tumble on the sticks at max settings.

nice fly bro

another banger of a video

Can we use flysky receiver and transmitter on this plane?
Sure, just pull the Spektrum receiver out.
Can you , or have you made a video on unlocking the BNF reeivers so we can get the 150 rates
Horizon already did. Search YT for "unlock AR637TA"
Jon, is there a better 9 gram servo other than the A332? Thanks
We highly recommend tinyurl.com/B11DLS
So a 7ch is needed for the extreme set up? Cheers
Seven channels if you want SAFE still. Six can do everything you've seen here without SAFE as a backup in case it's ever needed.
can you post a link to that sms battery please
Check 4s batteries under smc-racing.com
So what modes do you make?
We don't make models.
Did you need to rewire for fullspan?
Yeah, you have to adjust the plugs going to the receiver.
@@TwoBrosRC so therefore no open channel?
I want lights on this plane, I also want full span
Put the lights into the bind port. For additional questions, hop on Discord and ask in #tech-and-setup via bit.ly/TBRCDiscord
Finally 1 without 'gator skin' aka popcorn!
Y I no longer buy anything '1st run'!
This model was one of the first though. We picked it up in May of 2022.
IMHO, it's still underpowered. A 65-70A ESC would be nice.
An ESC upgrade won't do much without a new motor.
@@TwoBrosRC Clearly this rookie left out the most important "part" - bigger motor.
No Thanks ill keep mine stock it does everything i need it too just fine and i dont need to increase my percentages to crash more frequently
OK, that was always allowed.
Fist mod of most e flught planes......put quality servos on there and if flying 3d go hv....makes a world of difference....and also get smc pack because your cheating yourself if not u can't beat the bang for your buck they bring
This model is flown on the stock servos still - didn't see a reason to upgrade them since they performed well out of the box.

Another great video! This how you make lemonade from a lemon! 🎉
