He is just not a tapper.. one reason he isnt able to reproduce some of the great Chinese Democracy song solos... didnt listen to those from a recent tour but he really more or less destroyed some of the solos when the reunion tour started...even those that were more like his blues like play style..he tried to add too much and it didnt fit anymore..... but it is what it is he still is a great guitar player..

Honestly ... It was TOO scientific. There was nothing unique or interesting about his version, and it was so clean that it felt robotic. I enjoy Buckethead at times, but his biggest issue by far is that, for all his external craziness, his playing always feels clinical and a bit empty.

Randy was just flat out a Prodigy and covering him and his solos are really a tall talk for about 99.9% of the human species. really nice playing by all the guys but my preference is either Buckethead or Bumblefoot over all. (Like anyone on planet earth cares)
