- Here is some parts of one of the 27 shows that I had the honour to play with The Musical Box, the closest thing I ever could get to Genesis. They are without any doubt the best in the world. I did filled up for them for a a drummer for the US spring tour of 2019. That particular show as been shot in Beverly Hill, California on April the 20th of 2019.
Remember when you had to line up to buy tickets to see music like this? These guys are well worth it in my opinion. They are above being just fans of Genesis. They FEEL every note, every drum hit and it shows in how much passion they put into performing this music which, at the time it was written and performed originally, was VERY hard to replicate on stage. These guys master it! BRAVO!
Think I've seen TMB five times now. I don't normally "do" tribute bands, but I'm too young to have seen Genesis mk 1 and these guys are awesome.
I had the privilege of seeing Genesis in 74 & 77 with & without Gabriel. I don’t say this lightly…I’ve been a musician since late 70s….Musical Box actually sounds more like Genesis than Genesis lol. I’ve seen TMB several times & saw this tour with Antoine & it was incredible. This guy is the GOAT…
I'm humbled by your drumming and I only play drums. Your ability to play anything is utterly amazing. You don't just play a lot of instruments, you play them all so well. Inspirational.
I just saw The Musical Box last week in the Netherlands. Did the Lamb in full. Just amazing!

Musical Box are absolute legends! I saw them many times, dating way back to the days of the Spectrum in Montreal. Great work Antoine, it must have been amazing!

My second time seeing TMB was last night and it was just as good as the first time. Absolutely incredible performance, and as an younger fan of the older Genesis albums it is a real treat to see you guys play this music live. Great sound, keep it up, I look forward to seeing you for your third variation of the show.

Last year's show in Montreal was amazing! Brought my father to see you, I owe discovering Genesis to him, he gave me a bunch of vinyls and Selling england by the pound was in there. Supper's ready was the perfect encore! Hope to see Musical box performing The lamb lies down on broadway album tour in 2021, as promised!

The worst mistake before the main attraction gets on stage is, when they announce that tonights concert will be recorded, then all the idiots that had one beer too many or none, will find an aduleson way to make sure there on that video. Grow up people, dont forget that all the people that are around you dont need to hear your shit too, mellow out, or stay home.

Fan de Genesis et Phil Collins, je suis tombé sur tes vidéos par hasard et j'ai été stupéfait et émerveillé avec quelle exactitude et perfection tu joues les morceaux d'anthologie de Genesis. Le medley est tout simplement extraordinaire et quelle maitrise de tous les instruments, je trouve cela assez exceptionnel. Bonne continuation.

Quel honneur bien mérité pour Antoine Baril, que celui de se produire à 27 reprises devant le public américain (avant la Covid-19) avec le meilleur groupe hommage à Genesis au monde! D'ailleurs, j'ai déja mes billets pour aller les applaudir avec mes 2 fils à Laval le 19 octobre 2021.
Très belle performance Antoine! Je suis toujours surpris de ta justesse à jouer la musique de Genesis, dans les moindre details, et ce avec TOUS les instruments! I was at that show! I was so thrilled when I realized "One Man Genesis" was in the house! I've seen The Musical Box in person three times now, such a fantastic experience every time. I hope after the pandemic finally ends you'll be able to come back to Los Angeles again. Is the Saban as fun a venue to play as it is to attend? If you're interested I've got about 50 minutes of video I took that night, not uploaded anywhere. I'll get it to you if it is of interest. Fortunately the crowd around me was not quite as roudy as this video.

Saw you with them twice last tour on Long Island and Connecticut, and I am holding tickets to The Musical Box show for Fri April 3rd 2020 Westbury (LI) that never happened due to the Election Infection Covid_19(84). No one but you could have helped the band out when they needed it, and THANK YOU for that!
They just flawlessly play the albums content.. note for note..same tones and sounds ...in a live context ..unbelievable band

Saw you play with TMB in Pasadena and San Juan Capistrano on that tour. Simply outstanding, the best drummer they've had in the 7 years I've been seeing them perform (over ten different shows). Come back!

Dude, i thought this an small documentary because of the title, that's why i didn't watch it right away and kept it on my waiting list, this was aweosome.
From what I’ve heard - This is the only other keyboard playing in a Genesis tribute band done accurately. Bravo. Oh, the drumming is not too bad either.

Search Matt Thomas Overdrive, dude's spot on, on the synths, equipment, pedals, etc, he also covers weird medleys, like The Lamb/Watcher, It/Watcher, Dancing with the moonlit knight/Carpet Crawlers.

I saw the Musical Box for two nights way back in the late 90's in Raleigh NC. I was told that they were using the original circle stage background from the early Genesis shows and the musicians and lead singer looked and dress like the band from the early days. The Manager had a heart attack during the second night of the show and the band had to leave Him behind while He recover. I have never known them to play North Carolina since.
I have seen them at least ten times that I can recall…

I got into Genesis after YES and missed the entire Gabriel/Hackett era. I saw the three man version of Genesis twice, but right now I would tell you I would rather see The Musical Box more than the just announced "The Last Domino? Tour” Genesis reunion tour.
Same reaction to "In That Quiet Earth" when I heard Genesis do it back in the 80's!!

I was at that show, probably about 5 rows further back and a bit to the left. I was so thrilled to see Antoine playing the drums, did not expect that (I had seen MB twice before, always incredible). I probably have 45 minutes of video from that show, I could dig it up if you’re interested. (This offer is specifically directed at Antoine, I’m not going to post it publicly.) I never got to see Genesis with Gabriel, first show I saw was Wind & Wuthering. Seeing Musical Box is like renting a time machine for the night!

Saw him play at the Buffalo New York show. Was an awesome show. Seen them many times, but this show really rocked. Saw Hackett there just a few months before the Musical Box show, and it was stellar also.
