I have no idea of what I would give to go back in time and go to a genesis W&W 1977 show. Thank God Steve Hackett is keeping these magical jewels alive every year.
I saw Steve Hackett in Tucson, 2 weeks ago, it was a very emotional 2 1/2 hour concert for us now white/grey haired generation with the entire album 'Trespass' featured. The encore was this ...........Unquiet Slumbers For The Sleepers / In That Quiet Earth / Afterglow followed by Los Endos.

We saw them twice in the last 2 years and the concerts were just fantastic!! The night we saw them in Collingswood, New Jersey, they instead of doing the normal lineup of Genesis Revisited songs plus Hackett Highlights, changed the program and did the Genesis Revisited lineup plus the whole of Selling England by the Pound. It was awesome!!
Fabulous performance! The transition to _Afterglow_ has always been a sublime musical moment and no less so in this collaboration. Excellent!

This is my favorite part of a cherished album. It always feels so autumnal. This was brilliant. I listen to this and then want to cry because music has declined so precipitously. I was lucky to be a teen when this came out and to see it performed live by Genesis at the Forum in Inglewood. Which also happens to be the town I was born in way back in 1959! (Glad I live in NorCal now).

One of the most under-rated Genesis numbers, and imagined as I always did, by windswept winter scenes, I had parents that lived near Hindhead in Surrey, at Christmas I would walk over Hindhead Common, and this always was playing in the background; sadly they are both gone now, so when I hear this memories of those times flood back. Sad but beautiful.
Sounds like it was a beautiful place ! Music has a way of reminding us of days gone by.

Saw Steve Hackett in Tucson, AZ about 2 weeks ago. He didn't disappoint, an absolutely flawless presentation with 45 minutes of his own songs and 'Trespass' in the second part of a 2 1/2 hour show. This was their encore followed by Los Endos. What a show, the highest recommendation I could possibly give. A classic show for the now salt & pepper, grey and white headed generation. How fortunate were we to be born in a time when this was the music we heard everyday.
I've seen him twice in the past 2 years. Absolutely phenomenal shows!!! ❤🎉

@@daveinma1107 Yep, that was Phil’s idea. I always thought fit perfect. I recognized it the first time I heard them play it.
Phil liked that fill a lot. And Chester says that Ralph Humphrey worked out that fill. It is of course amazing sounding with two drummers.
