Just found your guys channel and LOVE it. I found myself binge watching for 5 hours (don't worry it's not like I had homework due or anything). You are both absolutely hilarious. I was curious as you mentioned that you liked Dylan O'Brien's acting, have you seen Love & Monsters. Funny as hell but also very moving.
They don't really mention this in the movies but Thomas actually was the one who designed the maze itself. The main characters were actually given names by WCKD after scientists. Alby - Albert einstien, Newt - Issac Newton, Thomas - Thomas Edison. Thomas was actually named Stephen by his parents before WCKD got hold of him.
Teresa felt guilty for what she put her friends through so she just decided to go. The maze runner : everyone hates gally The death cure : everyone loves Gally
I think it's because everyone understands that Gally was a jerk in the first one for a reason. He was a scared kid, doing what he thought would help them survive, and was controlled by WICKED at the end of movie 1 to kill and suffered guilt over it. Then he mans up in the 3rd film and comes back as a hero to help his team.
a not-so-fun fact is that in the books we find out that Newt had a sister (the blonde girl who was with Aris in the maze), but bc of the memory loss, they just forgot about each other completely which is heartbreaking.
For me Newt's death was almost as sad as Chuck's in the first movie. Chuck was such a sweet kid, but Newt was with Thomas almost to the very end. I cried for both.
In the Book: *An epilogue written by Chancellor Paige reveals the final twist.* Brenda and Jorge had been planted by WICKED after Paige realized that the attempt to find a cure wouldn’t succeed. Brenda and Jorge’s mission was to lead the remaining immunes to a safe and secure place - a place away from the cranks. This would allow the immunes to start civilzation anew while the rest of the world dies off. Paige also reveals that the government created the Flare virus as a method of population control. They weren’t able to control the virus, so WICKED stepped in with the goal of preserving the human race. With Brenda and Jorge leading the immunes to the safe paradise, they essentially succeed in their mission. This proves Paige’s point: WICKED is good.
But WICKED wasn't good... it's just a phrase they put in as a last "dun dun duuuun" moment. WICKED is still evil, it just took people disobeying and tearing down the establishment (WICKED) for humans to finally have a chance. I also refuse to believe that a government organization that was responsible for the creation and distribution of the flare can somehow be "good" just because they were finding a cure for it.... a cure for a disease THEY CREATED.
Ava never says who the 2nd WICKED agent was in the final memo, but it's heavily implied that its Jorge. Brenda joined them because she had no choice. You also get a backstory on Brenda. Brenda is Canadian and was one of the first to reach the safezone in Alaska. She probably came from Dawson City in the Yukon. She lost her mother to the Flare on the way and she and her father were left together until he contracted the Flare. Brenda was immune and WICKED killed her father who didn't want her to be taken. At some point, she met Jorge who practically raised her. Since neither of them had any family left, he became like a father to her, which I was glad they showed the film. I remember the last memo saying that when the Sun scorched the earth the Flare virus was accidently released from one of their labs. But I remember her saying that the Virus was intended as a bioweapon.

Teresa is so stuck in her decision because of her backstory: She lived alone with her Mum, who ended up catching the virus. Her Mum then locked herself in the basement and would scream and claw at the walls so much that it was engrained in Teresa’s head. She could hear her mother’s wailings even when out of the house. One day, she wakes up and the wailing has stopped. It’s been 2 years. She opens the door to the basement to find her mother in a pool of blood with her eyes gouged out. I like how they took a different direction, instead of teenagers fight the government and win - instead, they were trying to stay out of the fight. It was unique for a YA dystopian film.
It’s been so fun to rewatch my favorite YA saga with you all, haven’t watched these movies in so long! The books are pretty good too a sequel is coming out i think 73 years later
Sad how newts death is basically because wckd. He died in its grounds, it’s knife, it’s virus. Like he never really escaped what he hated the most. But Thomas was there which made it easier for him. 😭😭😭
Still cant get over Newts death.. In the book. His death is way way more heartbreaking😭 his character is the best all through out!! "Please tommy please" his last words to thomas is just soo sad!! Plus shout out to Thomas Sangster he totally portrayed Newts character perfectly!
while filming this part 2:12 (i think), Dylan basically fell off and went under the moving car, he had facial fractures and what not.. so they postponed the movie's production/filming indefinitely 🙈 and while Dylan was recuperating and preparing for another film ("American Assassin", highly recommend ya'll check it out) he got over that dark time and they could finish filming death cure
The fact that all of this could've been prevented if Wicked just mass tested all of the kid's blood for a cure instead of putting them through all torture, I mean farming kids and literally suspended in the air is fcked up
god this was SUCH a fun series to watch with you guys! super glad you enjoyed this one, it's usually not the one people cite as their favourite but it's got a soft spot in my heart so i'm glad to hear you two liked it so much :D somebody else probably mentioned this already but! the enzime that was part of the cure/the delaying serum mary (the doctor) in scorch trials made couldn't be manufactured, just harvested like mary said then. that's why they couldn't just replicate what they had. and given, like you said, the whole city being overrun and being blown up, they never had time to figure out if they could replicate thomas's blood components. additionally, the maze trials were what created the enzime/whatever cure bits which is why they induced those hallucinations in minho that put him back in the maze. so thomas's blood wasn't the cure the entire time, just how his body reacted to the maze (and probably because he reacted to the maze in such a different way than the other kids).
Every time that I watch that train sequence at the beginning of the film, I cringe. This is because Dylan O'Brien, the actor portraying "Thomas," was badly injured during the filming. Filming was delayed for a year due to the severity of O'Brien's injuries.
@@thehardyfan9908 - It's correct usage. Why? I physically "cringe" -- shrink back in fear, pain or cowardice -- because I know that Dylan O'Brien was REALLY injured during that scene.
@@thehardyfan9908 - True. However, that isn't the actual etymological definition of the word. The word morphed into the notion of embarrassment and awkwardness only very recently and primarily in the United States.
Thank you for reacting to this trilogy! Everyone has a YA series that they connect with on a personal level. The Maze Runner was my thing. Its been fun!
Dylan O’Brien, the dude that plays Thomas, ended up in a pretty serious accident while filming this movie. Got hit by a car, broke a number of bones (mostly in his face), and needed reconstructive surgery. I remember him all but disappearing from Teen Wolf, he played one of my favorite characters, because of the needed recovery time.
I'm just glad Vince survived. He is literally the only one I care about. Barry Pepper's got a habit of playing characters who don't survive so this was such a refreshing change of pace.
You guys should react to more of dylan obriens work(Thomas). He was also in American Assassin and Love and Monsters. He also starred in a show called teen wolf also really good
I really love this last one and it’s probably my favourite too. When I saw it in the cinema I was surprised how moved I felt by the end. Maybe it was partly because for a while we didn’t think they’d finish the final film, due to Dylan’s serious injury during the opening stunt and his recovery taking a long time, so getting the conclusion was great. Plus I loved Newt so that end really got to me, plus the score to it was lovely.
So one cool fact is that during the crank infested tunnel scene that car actually wasn’t scripted to flip over they had decided to keep it in because it looked cool
I think what is so incredible about these movies and the books is that there were so many twists and turns. Normally, I can tell when something is going to happen in stories. I remember reading this series years ago and just being blown away, everything was just so unexpected and amazing! I really wish they would make a movie for the prequel, I loved that book too, but because of one of the character (I won't spoil who) has a slight different tale in the movie, it would be really hard to make the prequel.
the guy, Stiles from Teen Wolf, who played as Thomas in this movie..actually got a back injury while doing/shooting the train scene back in the previous movie. It was sooo bad, they weren't sure if he'd recover. He was doing his own stunts!
if they haven’t already seen it, i think these two would LOVE avatar the last airbender !! it’s a show by nickelodeon that was made to be for kids, but it is one of the best shows ever made.
In my opinion, Newt's death in the book was much more touching. He knew he was going to become a crank, so he gives Thomas a note early on, telling him he can't open it until the "time is right". Once the sickness is evident, Thomas remembers the note which asks him of a favor. Thomas eventually finds him in the city, crawling around alone, and Newt asks him, despite how hard it is, to shoot him. (He knows he's already suffered enough and is terrified at the thought of becoming something worse once he fully loses himself.) Although Thomas is horrified and tries to refuse, he does it for the sake of Newt's well-being, knowing that keeping him alive would be cruel. It was certainly horrifying but was an epic scene.
Every deaths are sad, but in TMR, Chuck's death made me cry, in TST, Winston' suicide made me cry and in TDC, Newt's death almost killed me! Best trilogy I watched and read.
You made me realize how much the deaths affect also reflects how good the movie was. Death cure 1# you never thought they would kill newt until he touched his leg.chuck made actually me a little sad for him even if it was short. Winston I didn’t care about. He had like 2 lines in the first movie and in scorch his death wasn’t even on screen

I think bcs the original scene is too deep and heavy so they leave it out. It's about when newt first came into the maze and why minho is so important to him.
Hey the actor that played Vince did a movie named The snow walker, it’s not a very popular movie but it’s really good and Barry Pepper, the actor that played Vince, is pretty cool as the main caracter.
I really liked Newt's character way back in the first movie. He was with Thomas almost to the very end and at the theater I kept whispering in my sister's ear that they had to find a cure to give him. I cried when he died and again at the very end with the letter he left Thomas.
ok you're probably sick of hearing "i cried over newts death" but you cannot tell me that you sat dry eyed through it all.. my sister laughed and i cried harder it also hurts to know his story for his limp, why he has that limp, the fact that hes not immune and that was how he found out.. and then its just pathetic that i started tearing up as soon as he said 'well we started this together, we may as well end it that way too'
Same she's not a bad person she was doing what she thought was morally right she was the only character who got her memories back wickd manipulated her
Love your movie reactions! I liked this one the most of the 3 as well, it finally showed the global high stakes, and was definitely more hard hitting considering life in 2021!
Defenetly the best one in the trilogy in my opinion, love the full action and emotional scenes. And Honestly I feel like I’am the only one who really understand Teresa and feel really sorry when she died. I mean yes she betrayed her friends but she had good reason (her mother as she said in the Scorch trials, got the virus, scratched her eyes due to horrible visions and died), she really just wanted to help to end the whole virus sh*t becose she was traumatized by it as a child from what have happened to her mother. And you can tell she truely feels sorry and regreats what she has done, yet still was conflicted by finding the cure to end all of this. And in the end she truely redeemed herself in my opinion. But to be honest she sacrificed herself for Thomas and didn’t try to save herself in that moment becose she knew everyone from the resistence “hated” her for what she has done and thought it wouldn’t change, she did what she wanted in that moment (she saved Thomas) and with all the regreats she just let it all go. It’s really sad and more so that almost nobody understands her character development (I mean do people hate Vader/Anakin Skywalker for the same reason? Betrayed everyone for love and then redeemed himself before his death, and he did much worse things than Teresa, yet he is one of the most beloved characters).
She didn't do anything out of love. claiming a traumatic childhood as if nobody else but her went through anything as a justification to traumatize, torture, and murder people on an IF/Maybe/ Could makes her no different than a serial killer. She's playing with people's lives to make herself feel better and tried to convince herself she has control when she doesn't. She didn't sacrifice anything, she gave up when she realized she couldn't win.

Newts Death always makes me cry he was too incredible and sweet
I like how they took a different direction, instead of teenagers fight the government and win - instead, they were trying to stay out of the fight. It was unique for a YA dystopian film.
It’s been so fun to rewatch my favorite YA saga with you all, haven’t watched these movies in so long! The books are pretty good too a sequel is coming out i think 73 years later
Really? Sequel book/s or sequel movie/s?
@@TrentRidley sequel book
@@danielaquinonez7523 Very cool, thanks.
Sad how newts death is basically because wckd. He died in its grounds, it’s knife, it’s virus. Like he never really escaped what he hated the most. But Thomas was there which made it easier for him. 😭😭😭
everytime i hear "from the moment i saw you enter the maze, I knew I would follow you anywhere" I instantly cry
Still cant get over Newts death.. In the book. His death is way way more heartbreaking😭 his character is the best all through out!! "Please tommy please" his last words to thomas is just soo sad!! Plus shout out to Thomas Sangster he totally portrayed Newts character perfectly!
You guys should watch Alita: Battle Angel, with the actress that played Brenda. It's very action packed and super fun!
that was a great movie
@@kemo764 I agree, i hope they make a sequel
Her name is Rosa Salazar.
Newt is one of those fictional deaths that I will never get over.
while filming this part 2:12 (i think), Dylan basically fell off and went under the moving car, he had facial fractures and what not.. so they postponed the movie's production/filming indefinitely 🙈 and while Dylan was recuperating and preparing for another film ("American Assassin", highly recommend ya'll check it out) he got over that dark time and they could finish filming death cure
20:30 had me dying was way funnier than it should have been 🤣
The fact that all of this could've been prevented if Wicked just mass tested all of the kid's blood for a cure instead of putting them through all torture, I mean farming kids and literally suspended in the air is fcked up
The films apparently went straight over your head.
I want to re read the series so bad now, especially the prequel telling the story of the day the sun scorched the world
god this was SUCH a fun series to watch with you guys! super glad you enjoyed this one, it's usually not the one people cite as their favourite but it's got a soft spot in my heart so i'm glad to hear you two liked it so much :D
somebody else probably mentioned this already but! the enzime that was part of the cure/the delaying serum mary (the doctor) in scorch trials made couldn't be manufactured, just harvested like mary said then. that's why they couldn't just replicate what they had. and given, like you said, the whole city being overrun and being blown up, they never had time to figure out if they could replicate thomas's blood components. additionally, the maze trials were what created the enzime/whatever cure bits which is why they induced those hallucinations in minho that put him back in the maze. so thomas's blood wasn't the cure the entire time, just how his body reacted to the maze (and probably because he reacted to the maze in such a different way than the other kids).
Every time that I watch that train sequence at the beginning of the film, I cringe. This is because Dylan O'Brien, the actor portraying "Thomas," was badly injured during the filming. Filming was delayed for a year due to the severity of O'Brien's injuries.
I don’t think cringe is the right word
Dude is lucky to be alive
@@thehardyfan9908 - It's correct usage. Why? I physically "cringe" -- shrink back in fear, pain or cowardice -- because I know that Dylan O'Brien was REALLY injured during that scene.
@@ccchhhrrriiisss100 when someone says cringe you think of embarrassment and awkwardness
Mine too.
YA as in teen dystopian series right?
@@jellalfernandes1309 Yes. Or Young Adult.
@@spencerstabio5936 oki got it thanks
“Betrayal is just in her blood………but not the cure”
Dylan O’Brien, the dude that plays Thomas, ended up in a pretty serious accident while filming this movie. Got hit by a car, broke a number of bones (mostly in his face), and needed reconstructive surgery. I remember him all but disappearing from Teen Wolf, he played one of my favorite characters, because of the needed recovery time.
Another great reaction! Love that last "that's what she said" you snuck in there 😆
This is my favorite of the YA books/movie adaptations. I am so happy you guys enjoyed it.
The only dystopian movie series that never gets old in the way you can't get tired rewatching it
Newt's Death was Heartbreaking. One of the Saddest Deaths ever.
Man that ending, RIP Ferb (Newt voiced the character Ferb in the cartoon Phineas and Ferb)
I never got over Newt’s death. Not even Primrose or Finnick in THG got me this heartbroken.
So one cool fact is that during the crank infested tunnel scene that car actually wasn’t scripted to flip over they had decided to keep it in because it looked cool
12:00 favourite part of the whole video 😂 he called him eyebrows which is a reference to a movie called Were the millers 😂
My favorite couple!!!
Happy Valentine's Day!! 💕💕
LOVE your channel and so happy you're coming to TH-cam full time!!
I think what is so incredible about these movies and the books is that there were so many twists and turns. Normally, I can tell when something is going to happen in stories. I remember reading this series years ago and just being blown away, everything was just so unexpected and amazing! I really wish they would make a movie for the prequel, I loved that book too, but because of one of the character (I won't spoil who) has a slight different tale in the movie, it would be really hard to make the prequel.
omg I laughed at 18:38 when you said you heard Gally's voice from tiktok because it is in a sound on there lol
the guy, Stiles from Teen Wolf, who played as Thomas in this movie..actually got a back injury while doing/shooting the train scene back in the previous movie. It was sooo bad, they weren't sure if he'd recover. He was doing his own stunts!
Next to Chucks death in the first one, Newts death is literally the first time in years I cried in theaters.
Omg, that letter.
"You deserve to be happy"
that bonk at 32 mins got rollin on the floor that was funny
i got so hype and the bonk destroyed the hypness
One of my favorite trilogies it’s such a good time
THE DEATH CURE YESS. What an amazing movie
Yay I’m so happy y’all are reacting to this . Y’all are my favorite reactors 😀keep up the great work!
if they haven’t already seen it, i think these two would LOVE avatar the last airbender !! it’s a show by nickelodeon that was made to be for kids, but it is one of the best shows ever made.
I'm never prepared for the bonk sound. I've been dying for the last 3 mins 😂😂
"Hi! I'm Luke Skywalker! I'm here to rescue you!" ... Steve's just funny. Period. lol
Yeah thats correct, being shot in the stomach is one of the most painfully slow and agonising ways to go
Every deaths are sad, but in TMR, Chuck's death made me cry, in TST, Winston' suicide made me cry and in TDC, Newt's death almost killed me! Best trilogy I watched and read.
You made me realize how much the deaths affect also reflects how good the movie was. Death cure 1# you never thought they would kill newt until he touched his leg.chuck made actually me a little sad for him even if it was short. Winston I didn’t care about. He had like 2 lines in the first movie and in scorch his death wasn’t even on screen
loved the hunger games and maze runner reactions! i hope you guys react to the divergent series next
you guys should react to merlin or teen wolf! theyre both absolutely amazing shows, the 3rd season of teen wolf is just... phenominal and pretty much every episode of merlin is just the best thing ever if its your kinda thing.
It's not Galley's fault that Chuck only had level 2 plot armour, instead of level 3 plot armour
We Ride Together, We die together...Maze Runners for Life!!!!
Newts’ change broke me he was my favorite character
The city they arrived in is my hometown "Cape Town" lol which is where they filmed the final chapter in this trilogy
The random bonk sound effects just cracks me up all the time
You guys are awesome love the energy here!! Keep up the great work and grind!! Sending love from Kentucky!!
While I was watching this I was crying because of Newt but then when you guys put that sound effect over Jansen getting hit in the head, I'm sorry but that caught me off guard and I burst out laughing 😂 😂
I yelled with joy when Teresa fell as the roof collapsed
That bonk sound edit will never, ever get old with me.😅
LMAO. I shit you not I said the Bad Boys line out loud seconds before y'all did! Got a genuine laugh out of me.
I remember watching movie theater crying my eyes out on newt death and when I read the book series
I LOVE THE MAZE RUNNER SERIES! This was a Good Finale!
This was on TV here in Sydney the other night and I re-watched it, just imagining all the things you would say along the way :)
XD ¨betrayal is in their blood, not the cure¨ that'll be with me forever. XD
i wish they didnt delete the scene where newt tells thomas why he has a limp and how he tried to kill himself
If you're looking for Walking Dead 1109 reaction, like we did with part 1, we are watching early but we will not be posting the reactions on TH-cam till the episode airs on network.

The books are definitely good, probably better than the movies but definitely worth a read. theres also a prequel book that shows how the virus started
There's actually 2 prequels The Kill Order and The Fever Code
you guys should react to kingdom on netflix! it’s a korean zombie series and there are only two seasons so far, but it’s SO good it’s so underrated it’s a hidden gem! i think you guys would like it
Nikki watched it off camera
@@NikkiStevenReact the new one of zombies is better it's called : All of Us are Dead
The dude who called hin eyebrows has given him a lot of names in many takes in the movie and then they decided to settle for EYEBROWS 😂😂
There are more story to the scene when newt showed his hand to thomas. But they didn't put it all in the movie. But still can be found in TH-cam. Pls watch it. I think bcs the original scene is too deep and heavy so they leave it out. It's about when newt first came into the maze and why minho is so important to him.
Thomas Brodie Sangster needs to go on Audible because his voice is just *chefs kiss*
Happy Valentine's Day to the Both of you I hope you two had a great one
Hey the actor that played Vince did a movie named The snow walker, it’s not a very popular movie but it’s really good and Barry Pepper, the actor that played Vince, is pretty cool as the main caracter.
I really liked Newt's character way back in the first movie. He was with Thomas almost to the very end and at the theater I kept whispering in my sister's ear that they had to find a cure to give him. I cried when he died and again at the very end with the letter he left Thomas.
I love your reactions!. And when newt died I balled my eyes out and couldnt get over his death becuase he was my favorite character from the start.
Little fingers first words of the series were "Chaos is a ladder"
LIKE FOR DYLAN O'BRIEN
And recently a new book has came: Crack Palace.
It was oddly satisfying to watch 'Petyr Baelish' get another death in this film. For the first being in Game of Thrones: Season 7 (finale).
ok you're probably sick of hearing "i cried over newts death" but you cannot tell me that you sat dry eyed through it all.. my sister laughed and i cried harder
it also hurts to know his story for his limp, why he has that limp, the fact that hes not immune and that was how he found out..
and then its just pathetic that i started tearing up as soon as he said 'well we started this together, we may as well end it that way too'
The out of service on the bus was actually a mistake, but they kept it in
Kaya Scodelario is a dream and why I hung in with this series of movies.
I actually like Teresa. She’s not your typical “American cliché” character - not “the good guy”, not “the bad guy” you know
Same she's not a bad person she was doing what she thought was morally right she was the only character who got her memories back wickd manipulated her
Well, sacrificing other lives is way more "easier" that being the one used.
Teresa was really smart, but lacked on humanity.
@@BlackSwan.1984 she was in the maze with them
@@paulinezweiviersieben1864 and still, she knew all the time what was going on, she was in the maze like one day. 💀
My sexuality would take a 180 just for Dylan O’Brian
I still haven't gotten over my Newt's death
12:30 remember he was being controlled after he got stung
Been waiting for this thank you guys 🖤
Love and Monsters next! With the same lead actor Dylan O' Brien
Loved your reactions as always!!!
