How sweet of Agata to send you all that ribbing. Love the fruity outfit you made for Addy and she looks adorable in it. l, too, love watching Joy. She is a ray of sunshine. Hope you get your loungewear finished this week. Have a great weekend.
Tiffany, you are wearing a fabulous dress. The colors are beautiful and make you glow!! ❤ What a great idea for the lounge wear set. Have a great week!! 😊😁
I love the colours of the dress on you that you are wearing. They are definitely your colours. And Addie looked adorable in her matching dress too. It's so cute to be ableto twin with your little girl.
I totally agree with you Linda! Tiffany looks so pretty!
Tiffany, your dress is so pretty, Agata is so sweet to send that beautiful ribbing. I too watch Joy she always makes me smile😅😊
Hello, Stephanie! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Stephanie! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
I agree making a skirt to start the zipper practice journey. Love your daughter's fruit outfit, very cute. I look forward to seeing your leisure wear. 🙂
Hi Tiffany! I love your matching dresses! The fabric is so fun! Glad you had a great time camping. I actually take my sewing machine with me usually. We have only been once this year for a couple of days and I didn’t take it then. I always take it on vacation. Addy is such a great little model. Good for you making plans for yourself! Looking forward to your loungewear! Happy sewing! ❤
Your lounge wear is going to be so awesome, hope you get it done soon! Addy's dress is so cute ❤. Always fun to spend time with you! Happy Sewing
Hi Tiffany. Yes, I agree 100% with starting with making pouches/small bags to get past zipper intimidation. I also had an issue a few years ago until I started making simple (and very fun!) bags and pouches. Ironically, back in the 1970's I made all my own pants during a time when it was cheaper to sew your own clothes. (I worked in a fabric store back then, so the discount on my materials helped, too.) Wasn't intimidated with pants zippers then. I also made a lot of church dresses for my daughter in the 1990's, each one had a zipper so I can't begin to tell you why I would be put off by zippers later on. Go figure! I was intimidated with my serger until I just decided to spend an afternoon learning to thread and use the machine. You just need to jump in and learn to swim! 🦆 Once you get past this phase, you'll wonder why you ever avoided making things that required zippers. Just play! Dori
So glad you are making something for yourself. I just made the Megan Neilsen Reef pattern as a set of pajamas and LOVE them. I'm a hot sleeper and these are cool and soft. I plan to make two more sets soon! Have a happy sewing weekend. My daughter bought us tickets for Mother's Day to see Leanne Morgan so we are doing that Saturday. I can't wait!
Tiffany, your daughter’s Sew Fruity outfit is adorable!
About zippers: Using a double sided washaway tape (like Wonder Tape) stabilizes the zipper to the fabric while sewing it in. I don’t remember who told me about that. Whoever invented that tape is a genius! I also use it for pocket placements. No worries about using pins!
Have a lovely week, and sew with joy. 😘
Oh wow! That is such good advice! Thank you Lynn, I will definitely try it.
I am so glad you liked the ribbing and cuffing :)
Lovely video as always Tiffany :)
Hello, Agata! Thank you so much for watching and for spoiling me with these wonderful ribbing options! You’re the best🥰 Hope you have a great weeekend, Agata! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Thank you for telling us McCalls patterns are on sale. I am trying to get the rainbow dress pattern for my granddaughter.
Your dress today is absolutely gorgeous! I love the print!!
Hello, Dillis! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Dillis! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
I love your dress. The bright colour really suits you
Hello, Ann! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Ann! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
I don't mind payng $1.99 or a little more. Indi patterns are more plus you have to print them off or have them printed. Indi patterns a lot of them include cups sizes which I do love. I hate doing bust adjustments. Love all the ribbing you received from Agata. She's a wonderful person to do that.
There are some beautiful Indy patterns, but they are just so expensive, the other day I looked at one, and it was $25! I just can't!
@@theseamstressatthecottage I can't do that either. I only buy Indi when they have sales. Love Notions puts one of theirs on sale every Friday except when they have a big sale on all their patterns. Their Friday pattern sale is only 1 pattern and it's %5.00 US dollars. I refuse to pay more than $10.00 for a pattern and it better be something I really want for that price.
Your family is beautiful! Great pix at the end of your video. I didn't know ribbing could be so nice - very pretty colors. I've done zippers with no problem but for some reason keep avoiding them. Joy is a lot of fun and I hope you get your lounge set done! I finally finished a project for our nephew and his family of mug mats and microwave bowl cozies - got them in the mail yesterday and ready for something new - I enjoyed making them because I love the folks they're going to, but am also ready for something different!
Forgot to say, Butterick and Simplicity are also 1.99 at Joann this weekend - I was there today!
I love joy. That outfit looks great
Hello, Vickie! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Vickie! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Agata is such a sweetie to send you all those wonderful rib knits. I’ve been buying some tubular rib knits from Minerva. They have some in their core range that matches their other fabrics like French terry. I’ll have to look at E cobee . It seems the European fabric shops have such nice fabrics. I love that type of rib knit for tshirts and sweatshirts. I used to be able to get it at local fabric shops. I hope you have a fantastic weekend sewing
Hello, Kathy! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! Ooo, I’ll have to look at the ribbing from Minerva. I agree, the European fabric options are so lovely! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Kathy! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
I did go and buy patterns from the sale at JoAnn Fabrics. I know I said I wasn't going to buy too many more of them, but I could not resist myself. My car just drove there all by itself with me sitting in the driver seat, ha ha ha.
Hello, Zelda! Hahaha, this is the best comment ever, you’re hilarious, Zelda! So glad you spoiled yourself a little 🥰 Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
@@hoosierhandmade22 Lololol. I did! Have a great week!
Oh Tiffany, when I first saw you in that beautiful top. I said, "Oh my goodness!" Those colors look great on you. I am not sure if that is a dress. So forgive me if I said top and it's a dress. Ok, now I'm going to listen to the rest of the video.😅😅😅
Ok, I'm listening and I found out it's a dress! It looks fabulous on you.
Hello, Zelda! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment!! This means soooo much to me, Zelda, you are so sweet! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Lovely to hear what you’ve been up to Tiffany - and whilst this week in the UK we have had some lovely sunny weather, it’s probably all we will get for a while (😾), but at least it gives me a chance to wear my me-made summer dresses for a few days! As to this weeks project, I’ve just finished my 4th shirt for my husband. And the hilarious thing is that -although the least fashion focussed guy you can imagine- suddenly he is asking me to add in some little personal touches! This week he asked me to add a contrast colour to the underside of the buttonhole band as well as the collar band! I’ve created a monster😂😂(in fact it was a great idea and looks very smart!,). Catch up soon!,
That pattern would also make a nice slip. I plan to get the pattern
Hello, Gail! Thank you so much for watching! Oh that’s a great idea for this pattern, Gail, you’re so right! Thanks for giving me that inspiration! Hope you have a great weekend, Gail! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
