What a great video! What a surprise, cooking with clams, Will. Two of the three favorite TH-camrs, only one is missing is Aaron. Keep up the good work Ian!!
Wow Tug, Awesome Video. You and Will did great on the Specks. And Yes! You dredged the season coated fillets in flour LOL. The white wine caper sauce... ummm Ian, performed perfectly Yacht Style. Thanks for the memories brother, About 33 or so years ago my dad worked with 2 guys, Billy and Donny. They were brothers, their family had a place on Dunn's creek. We fished for Specks on the lake using cane poles on a pontoon. Well the outboard broke down and we had to limp to a ramp on a dying trolling motor battery, with the help of 2 paddles. And Billy and Donny had to hitch a ride to get the a truck and a trailer. Those are Awesome Memories. Keep Tuggen on Bro.
Man those are nice Specks. As a kid back in the early 70's, I fished with a friend and his dad in Highlands and south Polk Counties, and we trolled for Specs with Beetle Spins. The Specs caught slow trolling were almost always bigger, when compared to still fishing with minnows. And when they get bigger like those, you gotta have a net. They don't call 'em paper mouths for nothing.
Love your channel here in the Blue Ridge Mountains Of Western North Carolina! My little sister passed away in my arms on January 5th of cancer at 41 years old, we loved watching your channel together. Anytime you feel like what you do on TH-cam doesn't matter I'm here to tell you it means the world to me and my family! Love you guys and thank you for all you do!!
I saw a new video from Tug Trash so I naturally clicked. As the video loaded, I said, "Is that Will?" out loud. Holy smokes, two of my favorite youtubers together, completely validating my subscription choices! You guys just made my night!
Wow! Those specks are huge. That is what you would call a great fishing trip. The specks looked delicious. Awesome video! Keep the videos coming! I enjoy them all.
Crappie fishing is relaxing fun an makes for some great eats! Nothing like that thump on a jig an catching a pile in one tree . God Bless y'all an safe travels Tug an family.
lol you and Clams did good! I like both of your personalities! I don’t care for loud remarks on channels! I wish we had crappie like that up in Pa!!! Crystal’s comments to you are hilarious! That’s a tug trash special! Special trash tugging video lol!
Great video Tug! When I saw Will, I was stoked. You guys are so relatable and easily my 2 favourite YT’s. The only thing that would’ve made this better is if Will had cooked for you. That said, wow, that dish you prepared was absolutely amazing. I was drooling! And as always, Crystal, added some awesome commentary that made me split a gut. Thanks for sharing!!!
Oh wow, that first one was already a monster, beautiful. Reminds me of fishing with my dad when I was a kid, out on some of the lakes in north/central Florida.
Ian that was fun. I am going Speck fishing this week sometime hopefully. I plan on fishing in the SJR around Bostwick. Tell the ladies hello. God Bless
That looks so good! Our Nursing Home Fishing team will be fishing Cresent Lake. the Narrows, and Dead Lake Feb. 6th-9th. We had some 2-21/2lbers last year! With several two-man limits on some days! My fishing partner and I only keep fish 10inches or larger!
Great video! It was nice to see a collaboration with Will! BTW, I was cracking up watching you soak that oil up with the paper towel and run it to the trash! I do the same stuff in my kitchen! 😂
🇨🇦 My grandfather was a fisherman. If one of us grandchildren caught more fish than him he’d make us switch sides on the boat . Fishing from the back of the boat makes so much more sense 🫣 my husband and I are coming down your way ( by your way I mean Florida …. )) in the next week. I love fishing Wink wink .
Love the vid. To add to the vocab book lol 18:45, its "Mise en place" pronounced "Mie za plas". Used in the cooking world meaning putting in place or to gather...... so you're damn right, always get ingredients prepped and ready ahead of time.. Keep up the good content brother!!
Ugh, Cookin' with Clams!!! Gourmet catch and cook... super tasty.....who needs that?! :P Totally teasing!! Great video!! Those are some stud crappie!! Caught a 2+ pounder on Tablerock lake with my grandpa years ago, so tasty!! Fish Fry and a Fry Daddy......so good! Sorry, what's the word.....dredge's the word!!! Corn starch slurry with stock.....baller move! It is a nice subtle thickening agent......
Great video along side Cooking with Clams! You have it figured out for the Big ones, Hit up LFG, he’s looking for his unicorn 3 pounder Crappie, would be a really cool video too. Thanks Tug, keep it up.
Tug, nice slabs, great eatin too. I love specs, usually can always catch buckets of them when there’s the cold weather. Great vid bro, now I gotta get out myself!
Years ago when I was a youngin, My dad and I would fish a smaller lake here in Polk County Fl. called Lake Mattie, Very few small specks, Most were around 2 lbs or better, Enjoy your videos from central Fl.
I'm watching your show for the first time because of will with "cooking with clams" and I really enjoyed it. But down here in Texas City, Texas. We call them pork chops and gravy. TNX 4 VID LOL 😂
Beautiful day on the water with a dang good catch!! Wow!! Those were some biggins!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 And yes, you should do a survival challenge! We’ve been wanting to do that too on an island down here!
I'm two things, envious and drooling. I've only caught crappie that big once years ago on the Brownlee Reservoir which is the Snake river on the border of Oregon and Idaho. We trolled1.5 inch silver and black plugs my wife caught most of them but never touched one. It was the first time I used an electric fillet knife I still like knives but when you have a pile on a picnic table two feet high electric is the only way to go.
Awesome grade of fish! I am going to have to give that recipe a try. We always fry them never really try anything new for some reason unless we make fish tacos with them.
I'm in Ohio, and target crappies more than any other species. Nice haul! Those are some pigs! I got 2 of em on my wall that are both 19" and 3lbs, but that was a magical day that will probably never happen again. I'll take ones like you guys got all day though. Gettin' em through the ice up here lately
One of the best days fishing I’ve had in a while! Thank you for the great day!
For a bit yes!
